I agree. This is the most exciting news. I too am hoping that along with the graphics improvements coming they also address at some point this year combat and gears improvements. Hopefully they revisit em. I am super pumped up for eso 2025. I’m sad that we won’t be getting another Skyrim chapter but I’m glad they’re pausing on the same ol’. Some mini trials and new trial would be very welcoming to have us have plenty of more things to do throughout the year!
Completely agree with your opinion with the combat after timer changes but they made it pretty clear they dont give a single faq about our (players) opinions .
While these updates sounds amazing and I totally want them to be a thing (even the PvP ones despite the fact that I'm not into PvP) I really hope we don't get them at the expense of a new zone, cuz it's the one thing I look forward to the most each year. As someone who genually enjoyed eso a lot when I used to play it but have sadly move onto final fantasy and has been loving it on final fantasy I want to come back to eso I really do but for me its just there too many "meta sets" in the game right now that you have to go do an trial to get and Not everyone can get an 12 man group to go get some dsr and go get some coral riptide and the one thing why I haven't come back to eso is the fact that there only really one meta class right now and its the arc and Im in no way hatting on the arc I just wish that I was able to bring other classes like my sorc or my warden or maybe bring in like an magdk you know instead of always having to run like 4-5 arcs and then like one nerco and one of the other classes due to passive and buffs that they can easy provide
@@eigh1puppies Im glad that Im not the only one that thinks that the endgame position needs a lot of work to improve on and as someone who does genually enjoy doing harder content it just sucks when its basically all arcs in terms of dps I do do miss the old days where classes had both mag and stam verizons of classes
@@conancimmerian5066I think a lot of the creators rn are confused as to why we’re all excited and why everyone else is kind of doomsday about this letter so let me clarify: The creators were lucky enough to be invited to a discord call a day before the letter release to get the news, and we got to directly ask a lot of the questions I think the community has as well. We got a lot of the same answers, but had the benefit of hearing it from a persons voice, and frankly it all sounds very exciting and not at all like there are any plans to produce less content. The letter outlines the goal that this “seasonal” system creates now has less imposed limits and restrictions and therefore not only an opportunity for more content, but more unique content as well, and I think the “more content” is what’s being missed by the letter that we got from the call
I can't wait for them to make overall ads harder in the world! Running around and killing 50 enemies with 2 Templar jabs SUCKS! Just run through dungeons taking all the wet noodle damage to kill the end boss in 4 seconds, just absolutely terrible, makes the world feel dead
1:22 this is where the game becomes limited by the elder scrolls players. They don't want time locked content because the "essence of elder scrolls" and play the doing anything you want the moment you want card. It might sound harsh but ZOS need to stop trying to cater to both and focusing on the mmo aspect or making it an elder scrolls with an mmo attached to it.
I want more details on the PvP Skills that will replace our skills in cyrodiil. Very concerning... I'd say the First change they can make is to address heal stacking which is a big problem in pvp. Make Battlespirit limit how many of the same healing abilities can be active on a single player. Instead of 10 Echoing Vigor going off every second to everyone in the zerg... limit it to a max of 2 stacks.
Crazy take: there removing stealth from pvp and restricting healing more if any Serious take: I hope they remove/ adjust the dozens of redundant sets in the game. Being a sticker farmer myself I think it’d be for the best. I don’t mind the farming but I do mind the point of it.
increasing overland difficulty is ok it depends how much we will see as a solo player harder overland content is good but as long as its somewhat balanced because rn overland is a joke they could scale difficulty depending on level possibly i dunno how they will do this
Bows being fixed would Greatly bring back the community. Seige engines are way too nerfed and right now the meta is just being a mage. Not being able to counter mages with bows really breaks the immersion for me. If I choose warrior or rogue and my melee has longer range than my bows theres a problem in the game.
Lmao if you believe limiting pvp to a certain set of skills is a good thing you aren't a true pvp player. It's gonna further destroy the pvp community in game.
zos i beg you add TRUE FIRST PERSON not fake ass 1st person animations, i want to see my body as it moves in the world in first person just like i do in 3rd person. plz i know im the only one who wants this but it looks so cool pls add true first person
My only disagreement is with the meta not shifting lol and I don't really think its not shifting because of balancing pve and pvp. the meta is messed up and stagnate/overall boring because of hybridization. we have 12 million sets, and instead of them 5 of them being good for mag and 5 being good for stam, its turned into 5 are just good for both lol. Then we just put those sets on and forget about it. one may be better for different fighting scenarios but for the most part everyone is wearing the same thing. Support just fills in the gaps. They honestly just need to do something about the sets.. an extra armor piece or a power stone or idk what but something to where we aren't as limited. AND ZOS your game is 10 years old, stop gatekeeping our power creep lol. We're already fighting the RNG of your game, let us at least cook from time to time haha.
Honest I think the difficult increase some will love that are more competitive but for the most part eso has always been more for the casuals and I think running off the majority of the player base will definitely finally kill this game. Whether you like harder content or not understand the hard core player is going to have to meet in the middle and want difficulty options over straight up increase. Being selfish will make this game die. We are running on thin waters. I don’t think it will attract as much ppl as yall think either. It’s sounds like back 4 blood and Diablo all over again that tried that and we seen a 3rd of the player base quit. Hardcore gamers is the minority even though they are the loudest ppl. They need to get that through their head.
Interesting would love to see a new trial and mini trial in the same year like morrowind again! Im optimistic with pvp improvements too after playing the new bg's its a ton of fun and a step in the right direction!
Yeah I don’t really understand the emotion everybody has behind video game updates to be honest. A good update can save a game just as much as a bad update can kill it, and these are all good things 🤷♂️ Right about this time in WoWs lifecycle everybody was in doomsday mode 10 years later it’s doing better than ever. I’ll continue to be excited about good changes and disappointed about bad ones idk 😂
Dear, new player. It’s the same message every year. “We are gonna fix performance and PVP”. It’s been 10 years and they haven’t managed to do it. Don’t buy into the hype. It’s an okay game but the devs aren’t like GGG or Larian. If anything changes in ESO, it’s because they tryna figure out how to squeeze more money out of you not because they care about the player experience. Period.
I'm REALLY concerned with the huge nerfs coming with this. ALso making overland more "harder" (nerfing players base) is not good. SOlo players and most players DON'T WANT to be forced to group. If you have to be in a group to do something is because you choose, not because you depends on it. Before I got my builds to do stuff I was depending on folks to do stuff, was HORRIBLE experience. Most don't want to help, some charges hard, mostly you sit in a 20m queue to find a crap group and all quit due a lack of bummer patience. Want to make harder content? Do that in trials, with big rewards just like infinite archive, in there solo is REALLY HARD, even with a proper build. Bring vampire mist as channel in pve with the damage mitigation and can keep the port in pvp, make werewolf be fun again, by the pack leader the pets do good damage or snares as before. Want to separate skills pvp/pve? Return also the skills in fighters guild to do doubble damage to npc too, now is only to players (no sense in that). Want to keep more people playing, making more harder and making mandatory to folks to group is not healthy. They want you play HOWEVER you want, but you have to be forced to group, because they nerfed too much to do in solo, help us here please. Most are adults, can play more than 2h a day, sometimes 1h a week.
:25 You started with "I don't think these are going to have much of an impact" after I was like oh holy shit I know multiple people that immediately dropped after that, so for a second I was like yo wtf this is huge! ...but then you mentioned CP grind and sets being the bigger obstacle and...yeah. Yep yep yep. No contest.
I think that when most people complain about too many changes, they are mostly talking about gear changes and the constant need to pursue new sets, largely because so many of the sets people actually want to use end up getting nerfed in to uselessless. So you were exactly right in mentioning that the game has a lot of sets but few that are actually good for anything, and that that needs to be addressed.

Hang on... You didn't know that Craglorn was suppose to be a group instance? It was almost impossible to solo Craglorn before. Even the so-called "high end" players will have difficulty solo-ing Craglorn. Craglorn was unique in the sense that you have to be at least vet 12 (I think, if I remember it correctly) to be competent in Craglorn. You were never going to find a vet 2 solo-ing a mob in Craglorn. Also yeah, Dosha used to be a group event as well. And probably needed a tank and a healer to actually defeat her. I wish Zenimax bring that difficulty back, that was when ESO was still an actual community. Right now it just doesn't feel like an MMO-RPG. It feels like a single player game with no meat. Past players were more conscious of their builds and more knowledgeable of their classes and races and roles because people actually cared to finish content. Now, you can literally wear nothing and still able to complete content. That is why I think this game feels stale.
@@eigh1puppies A game pass is one thing but making it timed is stupid and going to kill the game. EVERY SINGLE game is rolling out timed season and battle passes and dying int he west WHY!? Recuse there is too much competition and no one wants to invest in these same systems across multiple games. The market has reached peak saturation and can't sustain anymore.
Although I don't reallly understand the complaint about the games graphics. They look incredible. It's a beautiful game.
I think it’s just old compared to what exists these days. It seems like they still plan to release new zones so I wouldn’t worry!
@@eigh1puppies That's good to know at least.
❤❤ let’s hope their words turn to action. My hopes are up but I’m hesitant. Fingers crossed 🤞
I been saying this for years, but oakensoul should be an ACCESSIBILITY FEATURE for people with physical and motor function disabilities, not a grind hidden behind a Paywall...
@@colinhouweling8615 I do agree that the endgame position needs a lot of work
@@eigh1puppies Im glad that Im not the only one that thinks that the endgame position needs a lot of work to improve on and as someone who does genually enjoy doing harder content it just sucks when its basically all arcs in terms of dps I do do miss the old days where classes had both mag and stam verizons of classes
This seems like maintenance mode
@@conancimmerian5066I think a lot of the creators rn are confused as to why we’re all excited and why everyone else is kind of doomsday about this letter so let me clarify:
The creators were lucky enough to be invited to a discord call a day before the letter release to get the news, and we got to directly ask a lot of the questions I think the community has as well.
110% maintenance mode
I can't wait for them to make overall ads harder in the world! Running around and killing 50 enemies with 2 Templar jabs SUCKS! Just run through dungeons taking all the wet noodle damage to kill the end boss in 4 seconds, just absolutely terrible, makes the world feel dead
Well done and well said my friend. Here's to another 10 years of ESO.
Oh no. Optimise the stability first z.z
Completely agree! I'm excited for the changes they announced!
Crazy take: there removing stealth from pvp and restricting healing more if any
Serious take: I hope they remove/ adjust the dozens of redundant sets in the game.
Peak online just on chapter release. So now, instead of giving you all content, they will bate you with smaller portions to keep you on the hook.
Yessss this sounds like a great direction
The pvp changes especially
Edit: does this mean they will give blades a much needed revamp
Lmao if you believe limiting pvp to a certain set of skills is a good thing you aren't a true pvp player. It's gonna further destroy the pvp community in game.
@@drgiggles8080 unfortunately the pvp community, at least on PlayStation is pretty stale. I feel like we just need cross play imo
@PurrfectMotivation cross play would be Awsome.
zos i beg you add TRUE FIRST PERSON not fake ass 1st person animations, i want to see my body as it moves in the world in first person just like i do in 3rd person. plz i know im the only one who wants this but it looks so cool pls add true first person
Ah yes, the year of performance
Battlepass format incoming with maintenance mode on. How low their efforts can be... also mark my words the game is moving into free to play mode.
So more lag.
Interesting would love to see a new trial and mini trial in the same year like morrowind again! Im optimistic with pvp improvements too after playing the new bg's its a ton of fun and a step in the right direction!
I’m stunned you say you’re excited. Haven’t you been disappointed enough?
Yeah I don’t really understand the emotion everybody has behind video game updates to be honest.
A good update can save a game just as much as a bad update can kill it, and these are all good things 🤷♂️
Right about this time in WoWs lifecycle everybody was in doomsday mode 10 years later it’s doing better than ever. I’ll continue to be excited about good changes and disappointed about bad ones idk 😂
@@eigh1puppies You think all of these are good changes? Dude whatever you're smoking, I want some!
I'm so disappointed how this would impact on the playerbase most people are casuals...
Period.
So basically no change.
Solo dungeons, solo trials and solo random dungeons
How many players currently play on Xbox? I want to know if it’s Worth getting back into eso
I just hope they don’t make it where you have to buy a season pass or anything like that.
@@gcash9372 to be honest, I think an optional battlepass if done well would be fantastic
@eigh1puppies yes if done well
:25 You started with "I don't think these are going to have much of an impact" after I was like oh holy shit I know multiple people that immediately dropped after that, so for a second I was like yo wtf this is huge! ...but then you mentioned CP grind and sets being the bigger obstacle and...yeah.
@@supertrexandroidxI fully agree that the current philosophy with balancing is very bad right now
@@eigh1puppiesthen will understand balancing will be even harder after changes in 2025.
We will see they been a big disappointment for years
Like every year lol
Why now
Not a fan of PVP. I'll play PVP with my guildies, but I hate soloing PVP.
Why do you hate soloing PvP?
@@boyreason9213 I've been a gamer since Wizardry came out in 1981. PVP was not even a thing until Ulitma Online came out in 1997. That game turned into such a mess because of PVP: gankers, corpse campers, and gangs of idiots ruined the game. I've play almost every major title ever released that are PvE. The only PvP I willing played where Unreal Tournament and a few tactical shooters. Just never been a fan of PvP.
Timed seasons and battleepass are bad and killing games these days.
@@Aptonoth hard disagree, there’s nothing to do in a game otherwise
@@eigh1puppies A game pass is one thing but making it timed is stupid and going to kill the game. EVERY SINGLE game is rolling out timed season and battle passes and dying int he west WHY!? Recuse there is too much competition and no one wants to invest in these same systems across multiple games. The market has reached peak saturation and can't sustain anymore. Now if you want to make it payable content future players can come back to or rotates back in from time to time that is one thing. GW2 does stuff like this GW2 USED to have a living worlds season that hardcore hampered their actual game as if you didn't play the new story content it was GONE FOREVER meaning you would miss crucial story content to understand the expansions. It was stupid as shit and the vast majority of humans can't play games 24/7 this WILL kill ESO so fast if it's just another generic battle pass or season pass. When they removed timed living world and made them dlc suddenly gw2 sky rocketed in popularity. It was the only game at the time trying that and nearly shot itself in the foot. People get injured and have to take breaks from gaming or the are disabled and have to tend to their disabilities from time to time people like this are fucked by a timed battle pass system. Broken leg your fucked and can't play the battle pass lol.
I can agree with you
I played recent call of duty a bit
It is not fun game to play for casual players anymore.
Majority of playerbase are casuals.
Imagine if this was applied the same to ESO...
I don't find any benefit of getting a match and enemy team roasts your ass to spawn locations...
Everyone just needs to necro
Ah yes, World of Warcrafts model
Err you're excited as the devs begin to wind down their efforts. Hmm I wouldn't be expecting too much bang for your buck mate. Maintenance mode
Eso needs nekkid minthara.
I googled this cause I’ve never played Baulder Gate 3 😂😂😂😂😂

Cp is easy to get, people just lazy, they need to raise cap. More passives less slottables , max cp should get rewarded
Get rdy cuz they will milk you so hard for season pass xD
Its all bullshit.
ESO turning COD?😢
@ewapiksrandeb3966 I doubt any of it will come to fruition. Or at least in any good way
I like that
Is ESO becoming a Fortnite season? 🤢
Not add more bullshit won’t change a dying game
