I might be really lucky, but I think each quest type has one guaranteed drop per day. Two days in a row, I have gotten one from each of the daily types (Delve, World Boss, and World Event) AND one from each of the guild dailys (Undaunted, Fighter's Guild, and Mage's Guild), for a guaranteed 6 each day. I haven't done any of the PVP quest ypes to check those, but I imagine the same is true of those. So, assuming all that is true, you can get up to nine per day guaranteed instead of just three, so the grind time is SIGNIFICANTLY less.
Yes. The drop rate has certainly increased since Gold Road went live. We haven’t been able to confirm whether it’s a confirmed drop rate of 9 a day, as some players have reported not getting every drop. We should be able to confirm soon though. Thank you for the feedback 🤩
There is no too much gold in the console economy, we definitely do not need gold sinks. This is gonna be so expensive lol Great guide thanks! Gonna be saving up dailies to turn in

I started and completed the wing of ink on my alt before i fully completed the scribing quest line on my main. Do you think i’ll have to complete the whole quest line over again on my alt to fix the problem?

Thank you for posting ...ink drops. Z says rare ... I say EXTREMELY rare. I have had a few drop, BUT, that was from a LOT of mobs, AND a lot of harvesting nodes. I have done the relevant wings to unlock those drops. And maybe, they ONLY drop if that particular character has run those wings. Would be nice if peeps could confirm that idea.
They definitely SHOULD drop for any character. The upgrade is account-wide, but ZOS already confirmed that it's not dropping as often as it should and that'll be fixed soon. Hope that helps - good luck!
Ink drops for me on several characters, and I have only done the quests on one, in case anyone is reading this wondering. In the span of a month, while casually picking up resources and just going about my usual game activities, I have gotten 50+ luminous ink - with the plentiful resource champion point slotted, ofc. So I think it just comes down to RNG, because that’s far more than I need, I’ve been mostly selling it.
So I got the gold road chapter a week ago , I’ve completed the whole quest line on one character , my issue is we’ll say my confusion , if I do my dailies on one character does that mean if I go on an alt I’ll still be gaurenteed a drop ? Because I’ve just ran a random vet dungeon and I got a drop with my healer ?
Ok, so: My Bank is choked with Affix, Focus and Signature. I did the Main Quest with a random character and now I did the Intro Quest (I think...) with my main Crafter. When I try co create spells with my Main Crafter, it says that I do not own any of that stuff I actually have in the Bank... Confused AF. I tried getting some of the Affix, Focus and Signature items from my Bank, on my Main Crafter, but they are grayed out.
So the Luminous Ink and Class Script Scraps went live in a different manner than what this guide indicates. You only get 12 Luminous Ink from completing the all the wings. For the Class Script Scraps, it appears you only get one guaranteed per day from all the sources, not each. I did about 20 master writs, pledges across multiple characters, one run of IA and was not able to get another. Spent another day on my gathering character, and only got 1 Luminous Ink.
You're right about the Ink. I was working with PTS and had no other way to test this, so that's where that number came from. Shame it's not more. As for the Scraps, I never said anything about guaranteed drops. What I can say is that I've been getting 3-5 a day from clearing Lucent Citadel, so that seems to be a good source.
When would be a good time to start the scribing journey? I currently have a level 24 character should I be starting now or more questing etc to build up my gold as I’m poor 😂
There’s no need to wait with scribing. You can get the quest done and then you’ll be ready to collect scripts as you do your dailies, etc. But there is also absolutely no rush! If you want to get to know the game and your character, then absolutely do that.
Seems it will only make sense to unlock very specific scribing skills that you want on alt characters...but scripts beung randon drops? Makes this difficult...buying is an option but everyone wants probably the same such as bleed, lingering torment etc.
I wouldn't go that far. Maxing Psijic takes hours - I've done it 20 times and it sucks. This is WAY better. 4 minutes and you're unlocked - the grind/cost is only an issue if you want ALL Scripts on ALL characters.
The skill style changes should also change the look of the skill-icon on the ability bars.. I was looking forward to this kinda more than the actually effect change in combat.. I hope they still implement it
@@NinjaPulls hmmm... okay, Ill check again, maybe I did something wrong, last time I did, It still showed me old icon and only the effect of (for example) the Bear Trap changed after going off ^^
The questline was fun but I havent actually used any of the skills yet. Since Im a bow nightblade I bought vault, but then never used it. I still prefer the skills I already had.
Yeah. I’m using a few of the skills in certain situations, but they’re not ‘needed’ or OP. Which I think is a good thing… but perhaps a little underwhelming.
On the one hand, the collector in me wants to collect all of them right away, but knows I don't have enough gold, and even with enough gold...it's going to take a long time since what people trade in the guild stores is going to be as random as the scripts they find. On the other hand, the roleplayer in me, loves that it's going to feel like my character is actually doing spell research, and working on spells over time like a real mage ought to, rather than just having them all ready on day one. Add to that the randomness of getting the scripts, and it's bound to initially feel like no two players are really researching the same new spell at the same time, because of all the variations and possibilities. As for the gold cost, well, I've never read a novel, manga, manhwa, or watched any fantasy genre about mages, where researching new spells was inherently cheap, so the price also helps with the RP, so I'm okay with it. Honestly, I can't wait to start researching my little script addons, and heaven help me once they start adding those cosmetic flairs for skills into the crown store. (you can judge me...I judge me every time I buy a new Notable House). I only run with four main characters, and cycle out a bunch of low level characters (deleting and replacing them whenever they get past level 20, so I can do my random daily dungeons quickly. A bunch of high level characters means a bunch of long , drawn out dungeons, that I'm not wasting time doing on every character, but I do need those transmute crystals, so got to do what I got to do.) I figure the scribing grind won't feel as bad or as expensive with just four mains. I sure as hell wouldn't try to do it for 20 characters.
The gold making part is the hardest if you are a new player. Since the ingame economy is down like all the well selling things cost less now. Just selling of the things are getting harder.
The DPS guides on our website have been updated for Gold Road. As scribing is very situational I am not including it in the general setups. Feel free to hop in our Discord though, I’m sure we can come up with a fun build, if that’s what you’d like: discord.com/invite/ninjapulls

@@fallen5771 To each their own, I mean there are people who gamble away their lives and love meth but I don't have to like a world that encourages those behaviors any more than I have to accept or like a game that purposefully creates discomfort just to make money. ESO uses game design decisions, they create lore, and story just to encourage more spending rather than admitting they have already made 2 billion and should be focusing on making the best game, not focusing on how they can manipulate players and design systems to force spending. There are plenty of companies that understand that there is a moral responsibility to not manipulate and take advantage of other people, even stupid people who love to grind mindlessly because they aren't mature enough to know they are being manipulated. Eventually you will realize that the grind was designed to get you to pay more, instead of writing great stories, with great graphics, atmosphere, gameplay..with intelligence loops to make it repayable. They just release the same grinds and charge hundreds of dollars a year to not fall behind.
I am SO happy that i am not much into ESO anymore and skip Golden Road tbh. 😅 This Sounds SO stressfull and Handygami, i absolutely can't be bothered. And that PC has to much Gold is true...but we on Console are a different Story! Sure, there is much too, but it's way harder than on PC. So i feel for the people that are not into selling much. Maybe some ER selling might get popular 🤣🤣 But i hope People will enjoy the DLC!
There are MANY ways to grind gold, but it's not a good use of your time. I recommend just playing the game - dungeons, trials, PvP... almost anything. Gold and tradeable stuff drops like crazy. Crafting writs are good too, but it depends how many characters you have!
Very informative video, but for someone like me who has no idea what scribing is and how it works, that info was unfortunately skimmed over quite a bit.
The chapter as a whole is fun! The zone is beautiful, the trial is fantastic and there is plenty to do. Scribing isn't OP, which is a good thing IMO and just like any other system added to the game, I am sure they will continue adding to it.
Oh no! Definitely not the vibe we were going for. If it's the grind putting you off, I gotta say we're a couple months in and few players are complaining. Also, Scribing is the best system they've added in ages, and it's just one small part of Gold Road. Sorry if the video left you feeling slightly daunted, and hope that vanishes once you jump in and start playing.
Would be cool. But I can only imagine the cost and effort involved, for little or no commercial gain for the company. Would be a massive gift to the players and not much else I suspect.
Scribbing is op and forcing me to buy gold road.. Pvping a sorc and his healty goes from 25% to full with shield and sorcs dont have any skills that do that 😂
You have to remember that in an mmo, you have to cater to the die hard fans. Most of the people I know who play ESO, have been playing for 7-10 years. You have to keep your player base entertained for a large amount of time, MMO101
Your comment about too much gold. I’m super casual and have played since day one. I’m poor. I’m an overland guy. But… I only need to buy what I need per character. My kitty is only two million. I might just have enough for across all my toons
Why would you skip content?? After all, you paid for it, right?? Like you said, there;'s no rush... You paid for content.... That's like your dad not bothering to teach you to drive because he already taught your older brother how to drive... Besides, every time I go through starter quests with a different character, I pick-up something I missed the first time... Can Scripts be purchased from Seals of Endeavors?? Maybe this should be considered... Again, what's the rush???
No its more like dad telling you how to drive each time you take your little brother with you in the car. There is only one me, with several little alt brothers. I got it dad!
Me too :c I need a super simplified version Scribing for dummies. Just the basics. 1) Where to go to start the questline 2) Walk-through of completing quests that allow inks to drop from mobs and harvest nodes 3) What else is essential for money making on day 1 of expansion release?
Yeah I know, that’s how it worked on PTS and sadly there was no way of verifying until it went live. Video has already been edited to fix this - it just takes TH-cam a while to process, but thanks for letting me know anyway.
Again just another grind fest for people to consider using that may or may not help toons who use it, not worth the time you have to waste you could be doing something worth while
The way they set up Scribing was to get players to play card game and run IA repeatedly to get scripts needed that is why the vendor is in IA, a serious crap shoot for players NOT interested in card game or IA
Not sure what you mean. I just bought all the scripts from the vendor in the Scholarium. Finished all 20 twenty characters a few weeks ago. Never bought any in IA. And nor have I ever touched ToT. Of course you can save the gold and grind via dailies, but gold is easy to get in ESO so I highly recommend the zero-effort route if you can.
For regular, long term players - there’s not enough stuff to spend gold on. I don’t grind for gold, I just do group content, writs, etc. regularly and that’s it!
If your maxing out 20 alts, you need to GO OUTSIDE

When my staff procs the glyph, I was hoping to be able to use the poison focus so that it will work with my glyph.
@@ACamaroGuy Not all scripts and grimoires are combinable. Also - just in case - if you eat the script on one DD, it will only be available on that character.
Returning to the game since 2021, talk about overwhelmed man😂😂😂 Jesus Christ
great video, great system. but MAN, that grind is horrendous. I hope ZOS changes this in the future because this seems so arbitrary and unfun tbh
Great guide, but isn't the max nr of ch 18 not 20?
Thank you! And well - I do have 20 🤩
@@NinjaPulls ouch. it says only 18 .... wonder if they stopped that. well done then!
@@williamdowding3343 i had a big war with them over slots...but I ended up getting my 20. For some reason, when you buy all the dlc, they don't give you slots that you got with older dlc. They coulda done away with it entirely. I had xbox version and had my 20 and couldn't figure out why I didn't on PC. Took a month to get it worked out. They finally caved.
Companions, Tales of Tribute are both unpopular systems...a little scary that you compared this to them...one thing in common. They all cost $40 to get.
No comparison. Just a reminder that these things tend to grow. Pay closer attention 😊
Sorry but I love both those systems, ESO players just refuse to grind and expect things handed to them
@@fallen5771 To each their own, I mean there are people who gamble away their lives and love meth but I don't have to like a world that encourages those behaviors any more than I have to accept or like a game that purposefully creates discomfort just to make money.
@@fallen5771companions are literally useless visual gig and card game was a spit into the faces of all players.
great guide thank you
Thank you! I really appreciate your feedback 🤩
Awesome guide Kaan.
Thanks! Glad you like it 🤩
I am SO happy that i am not much into ESO anymore and skip Golden Road tbh. 😅 This Sounds SO stressfull and Handygami, i absolutely can't be bothered.
And that PC has to much Gold is true...but we on Console are a different Story! Sure, there is much too, but it's way harder than on PC. So i feel for the people that are not into selling much. Maybe some ER selling might get popular 🤣🤣
But i hope People will enjoy the DLC!

Very helpful. Ty
Awesome! Glad you liked it 🤩
How is gold easy? Takes me forever to get 500k. Im not an everyday player. One day a week. So what's the easiest way?
There are MANY ways to grind gold, but it's not a good use of your time. I recommend just playing the game - dungeons, trials, PvP... almost anything. Gold and tradeable stuff drops like crazy. Crafting writs are good too, but it depends how many characters you have!
Saw some PvPers on PTS. Insane damage... Scribing is gonna be an issue there
Nah, it's already just the procset one shot meta, balance is gone since the Morrowind chapter
@@lucasr6552 procsets at least have a cooldown. These things don't.
Personally, I feel like this has a lot more.... longevity and instrumentality than the Psijic skill line.
Agreed. 👍
When is this going to come out?
Monday on PC and 2 weeks after that in console.
I have been farming now for luminous ink for days now, I'm not getting anything
The drop rate is being fixed int he next incremental patch.
Very informative video, but for someone like me who has no idea what scribing is and how it works, that info was unfortunately skimmed over quite a bit.
True guide 👍
Thanks!
This amount is but tithe for me. I am not concerned.
I play for 4hrs 2days a week & only like pvp so im screwed
It's cool, pvp players have been screwed for a long time now.
Sucks 2 B U
@@schumi9xwdc not really life is way more entertaining
Wow they added more depth? I love this.
Meanwhile BDO just keep adding the same thing just with new names.
i cant help but feel a little let down that there are no class grimoires available.
I expect they’ll be coming. Class balance is not great at the moment, so I think ZOS were smart to start small and not break anything.
Unless I can scribe new/different animals for my Warden animal line I don't want or need this expac. 😤
That was never gonna happen at launch. But the system will grow, and eventually there may be a Scribed Animal Companions ability. I certainly hope so.
I want a wolf combat pet as a warden
Feels better that I only have one character.
I’m here to find out the “is it worth buying” issue.
The chapter as a whole is fun! The zone is beautiful, the trial is fantastic and there is plenty to do. Scribing isn't OP, which is a good thing IMO and just like any other system added to the game, I am sure they will continue adding to it.
@@NinjaPulls I just found out you can pull people with throwing knife to cause massive fall damage from a greater Hight.
@@rpghood7231 Some of the scribed skills are SUPER fun!!!
thanks!
Grimoire is the *BASS*
After watching this.. I kinda wanna get my money back from gold road but I know I can't...
You have a beautiful voice
They really need to make ESO cross platform.
Would be cool. But I can only imagine the cost and effort involved, for little or no commercial gain for the company. Would be a massive gift to the players and not much else I suspect.
its an an mmo if they were easy to get and every had them within a week then it be a buzz kill imo
I have one main, find the meta and done so not that long really.
Scribbing is op and forcing me to buy gold road.. Pvping a sorc and his healty goes from 25% to full with shield and sorcs dont have any skills that do that 😂
So bots are going to mess up another resource..lol
It hurts to hear about the grinding hell. It makes the game not fun....
You get back what you put in.
Man, you mean you gotta work to enjoy the game? What a rip off, just give me everything free!
@@lostinpublicplaces3781 how many alts do you have? If you are going to grind the scripts for all of them, you know the pain
Wait you're telling me you have to play the game..... What the fuck I want a cookie clicker
In MMOs you're only as good as your latest expansion...lol @ Gold road
Why would you skip content?? After all, you paid for it, right?? Like you said, there;'s no rush... You paid for content.... That's like your dad not bothering to teach you to drive because he already taught your older brother how to drive... Besides, every time I go through starter quests with a different character, I pick-up something I missed the first time...
Can Scripts be purchased from Seals of Endeavors?? Maybe this should be considered... Again, what's the rush???
I do... I just want the skills to start doing PvP with new skills
Nobody needs to hear all the dialogue 20 times. Once or twice is enough. After that I’ll redo the intro only to unlock the skills, not for the story.
@@NinjaPulls Apparently, based on the comments I see at times, a number of people do.... And it shows...
You know it's like when you spend 3 hours cooking just for your kids to throw it on the ground
No its more like dad telling you how to drive each time you take your little brother with you in the car. There is only one me, with several little alt brothers. I got it dad!
Too much info, retained none. 😳
Me too :c
I need a super simplified version
Scribing for dummies. Just the basics.
1) Where to go to start the questline
2) Walk-through of completing quests that allow inks to drop from mobs and harvest nodes
3) What else is essential for money making on day 1 of expansion release?
Will try to be less informative in future!
I did not get 200 inks.
Yeah I know, that’s how it worked on PTS and sadly there was no way of verifying until it went live. Video has already been edited to fix this - it just takes TH-cam a while to process, but thanks for letting me know anyway.
@@NinjaPulls Take care.
Again just another grind fest for people to consider using that may or may not help toons who use it, not worth the time you have to waste you could be doing something worth while
People defending paying 35 bucks for a waiting simulator lmfao
Did he say gold is easy to come by? how?!
Honestly - by playing the game. Regularly. I never grind for gold, just do content, sell any surplus mats and that’s it!
I have no idea what scribing is
Just buy it and scribe 💯
Broo on ps5 money is very hard to get, 50k is a lot
I don’t know about the economy in PS5, but on PC, if you play the game regularly, run dungeons, trials and do writs, you’re swimming in gold.
I am just starting and this is too complex and not helping.
i only have 100k gold xD 9:30
For regular, long term players - there’s not enough stuff to spend gold on. I don’t grind for gold, I just do group content, writs, etc. regularly and that’s it!
Ah well it had potential at least
I’m sure they’ll keep adding to the system, so it might become much more used. It’s more of a fun thing for now 🤩
❤
This isn't so bad. Play Black Desert if you want to see what grinding really is.
Oh yeah absolutely - ESO has always been FAR better than the average MMO for grind. That's why I think this isn't entirely intentional.
This the one, I just came from BDO, I have about 10k hours and ESO is a breeze an n me extremely fun
