You don’t need weaker glass for it to break more. The titanum is not as flexible as aluminium so it does not allow the glass to blend with it, that’s why it breaks. The frame is stronger yet the glass can’t withstand it as it gets more stressed when it’s bend.

No, the glass breaking is because of the titanium, there is a reason why titanium is not used in phone construction, and that's because it would make the phone dramatically more expensive, and a purely aluminum frame would be stronger than a composite of aluminum and titanium like in the iPhone 15 pro Max. Never use multiple materials unless you're in very unique specific circumstances like aviation.

It’s because there is usually a metal backplate that is attached to the attached to the glass. This year they decided to attach it to the phone so the glass loss some strength

While it does reduce durability, making it easier to repair also means the replacement costs are far lower, so unless you’re shattering your glass several times, it’s better value for users to have it separated this way.
