I wasn't expecting Rings of Power to go full Disney Star Wars but here we are. JD Payne and McKay start talking about their feelings despite them contradicting reality, and Galadriel starts her warrior arc story with the fans being her first target. As we close on release it seems that they've already starting spiraling. And just as I was getting to publish, a TONNE more content dropped with Time magazine coming out with 3 articles on the same day with new covers and CW like photos. Lots to come! But what did you think of the showrunners comments and Clarks Instagram attack? Let me know your thoughts about this down below and as always, thanks for watching :)
That's where you're wrong this brew of course they would go full Disney Star Wars they did it in one of their trailers And have been copying Strategy for strategy from Lucas films playbook. Book of boboth that was the 1st warning after the sequel trilogy And culminated in ,,,"Kenobi
Tolkien literally said this work was inspired by the mythology of UK and Northern Europe, and was specifically meant to be _for those people._ Moreover modern wokeness was absolutely *not* his ideology. That doesn't mean people of other race and heritage can't enjoy it (they do), but it does mean that if you intended to not just change everything about it but make it into a goddam political statement the author didn't believe in... Then go create your own thing instead of trashing an established IP and then having the bloody gall to literally insult and denounce the fans when they don't like all your changes. This is a generic version of Game of Thrones wearing a LOTR suit and spewing leftist crap. It's trash. Hard. Fucking. Pass.
@@J.DeLaPoer One Brian Johnson said : " Be ready my brothers, the pilum and arrow of ist and phobe are about to come our way, but be not afraid of it let our deeds of yesterday shine the light of truth that all are welcome to enjoy. So bring your shield of shining truth so when they let lose with the missiles of false truth you can cast a light upon them and burn the lies mid flight and show the world 1% is not the majority. " And I just answered him, inspired by his words that way : Even if we fail in long term becouse they are actualy stronger with big money and propaganda tools and we have only the truth of OLD books and our honor to spend in protection of this literature - this Ark of Culture ! Let it be remembered that fandoms of fantasy never bowed downed never bend the knee before Amazon's travesty ! :) And I believe that we all, Tolkien fans and other fandoms can belive now - between all recent crimes and crisises around us which are manufactured to divide us - that there is ONE precious thing yet to be united for - the Western culture's Castle ! invaded by false ideologies and deconstruction of classics ! And if this is the hour of trial of last particles of popculture? What are these last particles you ask? IMO these are last particles yet rooted deep in Europeans mythologies and literatures. Such as many works of escapism art. Such as Tolkien. The western popculture is not only a postmodern TV show or transient politics ! This is our White Tree with roots safely grounded in wells of our ancient ancestry ! Our Slavic, Celtic and Germanic ancestry from boreal forests of the North ! The oaks and birches of the North ! Their smell is for me the smell of Freedom. And " the North remembers ! " This vision of Freedom and believe in Free Will awaits you in the old sources of our languages and myths and religions. Some of these sources I read becouse I wanted to know the sources of Tolkien. Thats why they try to take our cultures. To uproot us all. And esp they try to take our escapism art. Becouse escapism art is on the other extreme of spectrum of art from propagandists art. Becouse escapism TELLS of freedom ! And they fear this immensely. They fear our White Tree which grows up from 5 000 years of sedimentations of tribes, nations, of languages and inventions, of art and architecture and dreams ! This is Europe. Listen Tolkien fans ! Listen archeologists ! Listen reconstructions groups ! Listen Celtic clans ! Listen Germanophiles ! Listen vikings and linguists and pagans and folksingers ! Listen my Slavic brethren ! " You must listen ! " They dont want only to make their slimy politics with the use of our culture - they want US to be uprooted without languages, books, poetries, philosophies and art, without our myths and fairytales, without these stories which gave us our native feel of sacred Triad : Beauty ! (Nature/Fertility/Family), Honor ! (Warrior/Protector/King) Wisdom ! (Logos/Vision/Mind). This tripartite virtues. This Indoeuropean Triad of values. And triad of heroes. The same heroes Tolkien described in his books. The same heroes Jackson showed in his movie. Gandalf, Aragorn and Frodo. The Indoeuropean Triad of heroes ! IMO there is this strange order in the depictions of Jackson’s heroes. The main triad is Gandalf, Aragorn and Frodo. The hero of wisdom in his old age, the priest, the warrior-king in his middle age, and the Innocent „third brother” from fairytales in younger age-only a farmer/gardener. These psychopatic tyrants want us to be only gray mass clothed in grey - a mass of brains conditioned only by modern politics and technocrats. This political deconstruction of Middle-Earth is only their first attack, its their armed reconnaissance. They want to know if they can move again and again and again. But to all fantasy fandoms still faithful to the cathegory of truth I proclaim NOW that " The line must be drawn there ! " I was educated in history of law and forensics. I was educated to be able to work on historical sources. Literature IS also a historical source ( novels, epic poems, myths and legends ). Not some tool to use however you want it to use. Literature tells about the times of its creation so its part of cultural sedimentations. Its the source of YOUR language and of YOUR ancestors values. Literature is like a signpost. It is not the job of signposts to be moved around wherever "an actual thing" would like them to be moved, the singposts are here to stand at their places ! To sign the WAY. As Homer, as Bible, as Stonehenge, as cathedrals, as Graal. As Tolkien. I see how they do it year by year. The trivialisations and mockery and modernisations of classic works. In recent months I thought about every Arthurian movie I've ever watched and I found how they do it with trivialisation of adaptations of Arthurian legends. Since the 70s the theme of Graal diminishes and vanishes from movies adaptations, there is only theme of fight for throne and love triangle. The most spiritual theme of Arthurian legend is gone form adaptations. They do it in hope that we will soon forget becouse we are not learning from old books but from apps and such, and that we soon wont care becouse we are schooled to be caring only for private troubles and to think only ABOUT present moment - be in the moment, spent the moment, enjoy the moment, and soon we forgo all sediments of the Western culture. All great works of the West will soon be postmodernised, used for indocrination, sexualised, ridiculed, smeared, censored and then erased as nothing of value. Treated without HONOR, treated like TRASH. One of Polish critics of literature wrote in recent book of essays that Tolkien is an Ark of Culture. He was right. I see now that Tolkien is an Ark of Culture - one of the particles of 5000 years of YOUR history not yet taken by this Borg from political space - so protect him ! If this is the hour of fandoms - whom I can see now as one of the last groups of bookish people - people always devoted to art and to free debate - to stand and show their believe that Tolkien is an Ark of Culture to be honored as any great relict of art then I would say to whoever want to listen - friend or foe - that we all should unite under this Dead Man's banners ! Who wants to be a Guardian of the Ark with me? :) Becouse we fandoms can be like the triad itself - the mind, the will and the heart - the protectors of the Earth. - Tolkien fandom stands alone. - Not alone. Fandoms! - To the king!
No, the story he never could. Because first he would have had to lobotomise himself to drag himself down to the appropriate level (and it would still probably be better than this).
It's a good thing she managed to get her hands on those Flux Capacitors, otherwise the Black Númenoreans would have never been pushed back into their dimension.
as a long term Tolkien fan I am getting ready to vote this garbage 1 on IMBD and we should all do the same, this insult by Prime to the LOTR community should be punished.
Yeah, they could have called it The Appndix B: Tale of Years, which would be accurate to what they have rights to. Unfortunately it would be entirely inaccurate for what is actually in the show.
@@FasterThanJesus „Tale of Years“ seems to be a perfectly fitting title for the show though, as the rings of power are allegedly completely missing from the first season.
This is a generic, diversity-cast version of Game of Thrones wearing a LOTR suit and spewing leftist crap. It's trash, and it's _not_ Tolkien. Hard. Fucking. Pass.
This actor is not Galadriel. Galadriel is tall, fair, restrained power who shines with the Light of the trees. She speaks quietly yet with force. She emanates her internal force. She eloquently elucidates with a voice like a song. This show is trying to make her a base human with no agency. They have failed to identify who Galadriel is and why she is so beloved and powerful.
To add to my thoughts of this, they seem to want to portray Galadriel as an immature woman not as a several millenia old being of inconceivable knowledge and power. If they wanted to bring this to 'real world' terms as they repeatedly stated, it would equate to having a Queen who was alive when Gobleki Tepe and Gobleki Karan were active religious sites who is still alive now. Are they insinuating that in the thousands of years of Galadriels life ahe has been an idiot and not learned anything or grown. Are they claiming, maybe, she had a brain injury which is why she is so callous in her speech and inept in her conversations. Or is it just the show runners are inept and have not read or comprehended the works of Tolkien. They can only see their own limitations and beliefs it to be substantial enough to rival the Professor.
@@deborahwood7089 She is not even a shade of what Galadriel is supposed to be. The lack of comprehension I her character by this supposed actor and the writers shows how much of a failure this show is going to be.
My favourite moment of the trailer is when Galadriel says "You have not seen what I have seen!" but Dutch reassures her, "If it bleeds we can kill it."
They, not we, made a thing out of this. There was always incredible diversity in the Tolkien readership, and isn't that amazing? A devout Catholic university professor created an imaginary world that inspired people of all nationalities, religions, races and political persuasions. There's way too much rage, hate and allegation flying around at the moment and it is not becoming. So here is Tolkien's description of Bilbo, to my mind the most Tolkienian line the good professor ever wrote: 'He was a kindly little soul.' If I merited that on my tombstone, I'd go to my grave a happy man.

they are making it about race, so that they can divide the fanbase. the american media have been doing this for at least 40 years and its very effective. go watch any american film from the 70s. there are plenty of black actors in them, often having big roles, and no one comments on them being black, besides the occasional scene where the black person runs into some racist idiot and beats them up. then they realized that if the population wasnt divided by race, then people would start focusing on the class struggle, and they obviously couldnt have that. they might have to start paying taxes. i shudder to think of it.
I love how you just start the video, so tired of intros & these hype beats before the video I've seen over & over. Thank you man for just getting to the info I'm looking for!
To be fair, she's probably seen Rings Of Power, and that's what she's talking about: horrible, wretched, misery, and she's seen it with her own two eyes.

I am offended that this new Galadriel is so offensive. All that star and lights from the Trees must've fried her brains. Don't let me started on that beardless dwarf!
When Galadriel exclaims, "Sauron! You magnificent bastard! I read your book!" while watching her forces decisively defeat the Orcs in a pitched tank battle, you will have chills running down your spine!
This Galadriel (what we've seen in the trailers, not the actress as a person) is lore friendly. Anyone saying otherwise isn't familiar with Tolkien's lore, or at least not as relates to Galadriel. Tolkien himself was confused about who Galadriel was and what things she might have done, as he lamented over in his letters and notes. Her character and plot changed wildly over the years, such that you can cherry pick any depiction of Galadriel as 'false'. She was indeed a hand-to-hand warrior, though; that much is without dispute if you go by Tolkien's own account. His LATTER account, mind you. That is, what he finally settled on before he passed. If you check out his earlier versions of Galadriel when he was still unsure then you will find contradictions. And contradictions. And yet more contradictions.
I was honestly kinda excited for this show 2 years ago. Now that every day they are releasing new informations and trailer, I can't even think about watching it. I never read the books but now I am reading them. And enjoying every bit of it.
I couldn't agree more. The showrunners can talk about their "feelings" until they're blue in the face, but that doesn't change the fact that Tolkien's whole purpose in writing his stories was to create a legendarium for England, peopled with characters who looked English. The only exception in Tolkien's works were the Haradrim, from a land far to the south of Middle Earth. If Amazon wants to write stories using a diversity checklist, that's fine; just don't call it Tolkien, because it isn't. The problem is that the greedy wretches at Amazon want to take advantage of the existing Tolkien fanbase, thinking that they'll make a killing. They failed. Now, Amazon has a giant turkey on their hands, and it's starting to peck them to death. Time to get the popcorn.
I think you hit the nail right on the head. They know they have a stinker on their hands, so they pushed an actress who is essentially just an Extra on set to the fore front so that when we crack down on her Identity Politics, they have an excuse to why the show will ultimately fail. The fans are ....Fill in the blank...I've been saying for months how the marketing isn't about the show. We know absolutely nothing about the characters, the story, the motivations, nothing. We only know about how the show runners "fixed" Tolkien. And well....That doesn't give me much confidence that it will be anything remotely watchable.
Hm. But it was racist when Rooney Mara was cast as Tiger Lily, ergo Sophia Nomvete being cast as a character named after a Norse Deity and based on white culture is racist cultural appropriation. “SHE’LL RUIN MAH CULTURE BY INSERTING HERS INTO IT!” Funny how it’s only racist when white people do it, but black supremacists can do whatever the fuck they want.

The Doritos Queen was only cast for this project for the prerelease parroting. That is why she is the central mouthpiece for the marketing. She checks enough boxes to fit the 'beyond reproach' stereotype. Bezos wanted 'Game of Thrones', but he's getting 'Woke of Tolkien'.
Indeed. I mean, this is her very *first* role in a TV show/movie. Why is such a noob getting a role in this enormous project? She must have said exactly the kind of things they like to hear about diversity and whatnot. Much of her previous acting has been in some woke theater roles, several of them where her characters were originally male.
After the roasting they’ve deservedly received at the hands of the fans it was only a matter of time before the ‘racist’ & ‘sexist’ labelling. Amazon’s Ding-A-Lings of Power.
Don't watch the show on Amazon!! It should go without saying, but I know a lot of fans who still plan to watch it just to see what a mess they made. I think one of the best things we can all do is to NOT support this horror by watching it on Amazon. I get that some Tolkien fans might be very curious to see just how bad it really is. But remember, it doesn't matter WHY you watch it... you are still supporting it by pressing play. And there are alternatives to watch it without involving Amazon (and boosting their numbers in the process). It will be available from "alternative" sources shortly after it starts airing. So if you absolutely have to watch it, use those!
A massive cancelation of prime for the month of september should do the trick, eben if you get it back a couple months after, thats income that will deffinitly hurt

Anyone sending hate to her fellow black cast mates...... Wait what so it's ok to hate white cast mates... Oh poor Clark we are hating everyone in the cast without seeing their race including you for what you did to lotr.
With a slight edit, I will agree with the showrunner. I feel that the Rings of Power are not even vaguely related to Professor Tolkien's work. I won't even classify it as fanfiction. That word implies a deep knowledge of and a Fanatical devotion to the author's work. The writer and cast have proven they have little knowledge of the work and a complete disdain for the author.
All they bought the rights to is the appendices, right? I can see someone who barely knows LOTR reading the appendices and scratching their heads, then punting and coming up with their own half-baked, allegorical fantasy show.
Legendary actors like Al Pacino had almost everyone and everything going against them, even after he'd proven himself, Hollywood producers still hated him and he was snubbed by the Oscars. I doubt he'd reach legendary status if he started attacking people every time someone hurt his feelings. Gene Hackman said he just wanted to be an actor, but celebrity status came with it and he didn't know how to deal with it. He dealt with it far better than these thin skinned imposters, that's for sure.
Because there's too many fucking pussies out there that if you say something they got so offended in all this shit it is ridiculous. It's the age of feelings nothing more nothing less
coincidentally both the actors you mentioned grew up in a time when men werent being attacked for being masculine and women werent trying to be masculine. its a sign of the times.
Similar to Gene Hackman and the legendary Al, Kurt Russell is a great example of how to handle fame. These cast members on the other hand seem like an egotistical bunch of narcissists, not good enough for Hollywood.
There are so many great actors which get shunned now as problematic because they dare to keep their mouths shut on politics and hot button topics. I really enjoy watching Denzel Washington, he is one of my favourite actors, yet he always has stayed true to being a humble man however the establishment try and get him to become an activist. As a child I was always in awe in the legendary actors such a Richard Todd, Audey Murphy and Jimmy Stewart. True heroes who fought in WW2 as well as being actors. When you look back at the greats of the 60s, 70s etc they all.had real life experience. Compared to now who are just spoilt brats whinging about their lack or morals. It incredible to hear of some of the exploits of the actors of the past. Richard Todd was a paratrooper on D Day on Pegasus Bridge. Jimmy Stewart flew bombing missions over Europe. Audey Murphy won a CMH fighting of a German attack near single handed. Audrey Hepburn running secret messages between French Resistsnce groups in Occupied France. Truly epic people doing extraordinary things but not becoming so egotistical about themselves as these modern creatures do.
I think you’re entirely right about all of this. Something else I’d like to address is their trying to pose this as a representation of his “lesser known works” which is the appendices…. That are located at the end of one of his most popular selling books. I’d wager most anyone who read The Return of the King read the appendices. They aren’t lesser known works. They’re well known, readily available in one of his four best selling books, with a clear outline of events and family lineage progression throughout… there’s not much room for “making your own story” and we don’t want that anyways, tell the story that’s there. It’s what the fans want to see and I guarantee it’s better anyways.
I hate how they try to debate this with fans. I just point out the Galadriel change and stop talking to them after that. It starts and ends there. That's all you need to know. It's all downhill from there. The so significantly changed one of the biggest characters in the story. Nothing is off limits for them at that point. Bunch of no talent hacks.
I get the complains about most of it, but Galadriel is lore friendly in this, so I don't understand that part of it. She isn't just some wisp that minded her own in the kitchen, you know. Tolkien himself stated she was a warrior-woman who led armies and fought like a man. At least in his latter writings he did. There are earlier notes that contradict this fact, but Tolkien contradicts himself frequently, most notably the account of Bilbo and the finding of the One Ring. He had to change what happened there to fit the LOTR narrative, and he did it masterfully, but that's why two different versions of 'the hobbit' exist. Because Tolkien is flawed and he didn't know what he was doing until he'd gotten there. Stories evolve and adapt, and characters do too. Black dwarf queens without beards is not lore friendly, not that I know of, but Galadriel being sort of 'butch chick' is. At least in terms of character and action, though definitely not in appearance (the chick's hot!).
@@keithhudgins1904 Lore friendly? They removed Celeborn so that she's romantically available and lo and behold, there's gonna be a romance with Halbrand who is Sauron. It's abominable at this point. And Tolkien never thought to mention that fact if it had actually happened? Talk about lore friendly! It's a breaking of the lore at every turn. A joke!

@@keithhudgins1904 I think you’re allowing too much leeway from the things Tolkien said, to try to accommodate Amazon’s version (which is just a Jeanne D’Arc rip off). Her mother’s name for her meant “man-maiden”, yes. But there are ways these descriptions can be worked out in a non-military context in keeping with her femininity. She had much more subtle means to her disposal. The Amazon version of her seems just gross and vulgar.

The latest short teaser posted on twitter today showed that Galadriel is now the commander of Gil-Galad's armies, not Elrond as Tolkien wrote. Although Elijah Wood immersed himself in the role, and captured something of Frodo's elvishness, I greatly miss Book Frodo's wisdom, intellect and courage. I blame the screenplay rather than Elijah himself - although if he'd ever read the book while he was on set, he might have fought harder for Frodo's character. 👀 Although I love the films, I will always be sad at what Peter Jackson did to Frodo's character. He practically robbed Frodo of all of his heroism. A lost opportunity.

@Billy the Butcher It worked for Hugo Weaving's Elrond, since his character needed to be played by an actor with appropriate gravitas as a wise leader, thousands-of-years-old warrior AND the father of Arwen. Having him played by an actor too close in age to Liv Tyler would have been weird. We as the audience needed to see them as father and daughter, so we could understand and connect with them. Conversely, Lee Pace and Orlando Bloom, who _were_ close in age when playing father and son in "The Hobbit", worked because they were playing antagonists who were shown to be proud and vain. That they looked more like brothers than father and son mattered less to us the audience, because we weren't asked to like or sympathize with them. "RoP" doesn't appear to have that problem, however (all the elves appear to be "young" and single) so there is no excuse for them either looking middle-aged or plain, which they all are.

- the Western culture's Castle !
invaded by false ideologies and deconstruction of classics !
This is our White Tree
with roots safely grounded in wells of our ancient ancestry !
Our Slavic, Celtic and Germanic ancestry from boreal forests of the North !
The oaks and birches of the North ! Their smell is for me the smell of Freedom.
And " the North remembers ! "
This vision of Freedom and believe in Free Will awaits you in the old sources of our languages and myths and religions.
They fear our White Tree which grows up from 5 000 years
of sedimentations of tribes, nations, of languages and inventions, of art and architecture and dreams !
This is Europe.

Listen archeologists ! Listen reconstructions groups ! Listen Celtic clans ! Listen Germanophiles ! Listen vikings and linguists and pagans and folksingers ! Listen my Slavic brethren !

US to be uprooted without languages, books, poetries, philosophies and art, without our myths and fairytales, without these stories which gave us our native feel of
sacred Triad :
Beauty ! (Nature/Fertility/Family),
Honor ! (Warrior/Protector/King)
Wisdom !

" The line must be drawn there ! "
I was educated in history of law and forensics.
One of Polish critics of literature wrote in recent book of essays that
Tolkien is an Ark of Culture.
He was right. I see now that Tolkien is an Ark of Culture - one of the particles of 5000 years of YOUR history not yet taken by this Borg from political space
- so protect him !
If this is the hour of fandoms - whom I can see now as one of the last groups of bookish people - people always devoted to art and to free debate - to stand and show their believe that Tolkien is an Ark of Culture to be honored as any great relict of art
then I would say to whoever want to listen - friend or foe - that we all should unite under this
Dead Man's banners !
Who wants to be a Guardian of the Ark with me? :)
Becouse we fandoms can be like the triad itself - the mind, the will and the heart - the protectors of the Earth.
- Tolkien fandom stands alone.
- Not alone. Fandoms!

Hey, Elves are not human. There is no actress who has attributes exactly like Elves. She looks good. Elves, dwarves, orcs are not human.
"One by one, the free peoples of Earth fell for the power of the narrative.
But there were some who resisted.
A last alliance between bookfans and moviefans marched against the armies of Amazon, and on the very slopes of the internet, they fought for the lore accuracy of Middle-Earth."

I think one of the best things we can all do is to NOT support this horror by watching it on Amazon. I get that some Tolkien fans might be very curious to see just how bad it really is. But remember, it doesn't matter WHY you watch it... you are still supporting it by pressing play. They never talk about the story. Red lights going off.
Facts should inform feelings, but not the other way around.
He didn't say it's fan fiction. He said it's LIKE fan fiction. That is to say, crappy. Just like fan fiction.
Gene Hackman is a know pos to work with in movies. Gtfo here trying to say he handles fame well. The dude is a complete asshole
Also the fact that she enters Numenor and not only interacts with Miriel who is regent queen, but goes into battle with her to Middle-Earth! And Tolkien never thought to mention that fact if it had actually happened? Talk about lore friendly! It's a breaking of the lore at every turn. A joke!
@@Puma5 I think the show looks terrible; I have no interest in watching it. I don't disagree with anything you said. But you ignored everything I said, clearly. Perhaps I misunderstood the OP perspective, but I have noticed an awful lot of people commenting first and foremost their disapproval of Galadriel in armor, wielding a sword. If they have her dating Sauron that's ridiculous- again I agree with you; I'm not talking about that. Or Meteor Man. Or anything else that's done wrong. I'm talking about the plethora of people who are getting annoyed that the showrunners won't let Galadriel 'be female', as "tolkien intended". @@keithhudgins1904 I think you’re allowing too much leeway from the things Tolkien said, to try to accommodate Amazon’s version (which is just a Jeanne D’Arc rip off).
You will have to show me by quote the passages where he said she was a commander “of armies”, and a hot-headed “warrior”.
She had a lot of temperament, yes. Her mother’s name for her meant “man-maiden”, yes.
But there are ways these descriptions can be worked out in a non-military context in keeping with her femininity. She had much more subtle means to her disposal. The Amazon version of her seems just gross and vulgar.
There is a reason JRR Tolkien, Christopher and the estate were so protective of their works, which was SO MUCH MORE to them than just an IP like everything we see today dragged into multiple sequels and spinoffs.

"RoP" doesn't appear to have that problem, however (all the elves appear to be "young" and single) so there is no excuse for them either looking middle-aged or plain, which they all are.
"You have not seen what I have seen." Seems like that's going to encompass basically everybody there, Galadriel.
Yes, because your gift of foresight has fallen to the real Tolkien fans, because someone had to fill the role of the wise and ethical in this age of doom….Galadriclark
“But as the theme progressed, it came into the heart of Bezos to interweave matters of his own imagining that were not in accord with the theme of Tolkien, for he sought therein to increase the power and glory of the part assigned to himself.”
I just wanted to tell you that I found you through Drinker. I must say that as much as I love drinkers style, I love yours more. The fast paste info with quips really makes for entertaining videos and I have watched all your LOTR updates. You are my favorite new content creator that I have found and the one thing that is for certain. The culture war is near life support, but people are slowly fighting back against the tide.
Huh, you'd think with the Kenobi blunder, they'd learned a lesson and NOT attack fans. Under normal circumstances, that would be the case but I often forget we're dealing with actors and activists here. These kind of people would constantly burn their fingers on the stove and still be surprised that fire burns...
They'll never learn. They're too busy huffing their own farts and going around with their fingers in their ears going 'Lalalalala, we're not listening' like a 5-year-old.
theyre too rich to care
They're behaving like bullies picking on the little guy who can't fight back. And they've taken something that matters to the little guy. Generally speaking, fans are too small to fight back against corporations who can afford to buy out large news outlets. Certainly too small to fight back if those outlets sway public opinion and get the greatest-common-denominator ambivalent and passive consumers to easily accept a misconstrued headline with a disingenuine corporate agenda meant to drive sales.
Even the smallest one can change destiny...
There are many fans who openly say what they think.
@@CordeliaWagner exactly! and if you really want a fight with some fandom... lotr fans is probably your worst choice! im actually looking forward to see where this goes. if it totally chashes and burns this might be the start of change in hollywood.
People always underestimate the power of their wallets. There is exactly _one_ thing that Amazon cares about and that is money. So completely ignoring DVD sets and merchandise will hurt them. And if you are not needing Prime for the fast and much cheaper delivery, but only have it for Prime video, then why not cancelling your subscription for a while?
Netflix really took a broadside when people got sick of racist crap like 'Dear White People' or disgusting crap like 'Cuties' and the torrent of woke crap in every flavour possible and they did quite the cleanup recently. Vote with your wallet.
@@Furzkampfbomber are you joking me? The who "get woke go broke" bs is a meme. No matter how bad these series flop the continue to double down since mega corporations have infinite money
@@ilostthreeaccountstoyoutub1434 Well, look at Disney, they are _bleeding_ money right now, the visitor numbers for their parks are terrible and the stock holders do _not_ like it.
The Time article, did you read it? You, Az and Gary need to make a video about this specific article as quickly as possible. This may be the worst written article about the new show.
Is that the "Is it Gay Enough?" article?
@@GATAeAgLeS171 I think it is
@@GATAeAgLeS171 No, it's a new one.
I shudder looking at the cover already
I wasn't ever expecting much from this series, but they actively went out of the way to make it horrible
So when the show runners said during San Diego Comic Con, “Go to the book, go to the book…..” I guess they went to the wrong book.
This might be the most unlikeable cast of any show ever.
Must see TV!
Getting the "feeling" this series will get $0 from me and that's objective fact
It’s funny. Amazon had the expanse and I had all the books and audiobooks stopped after season 4 because Amazon destroyed the show for me. So I have zero interest in their version of LOTR
I am perpetually excited thinking about your coverage of this show/the insanity it will generate.
"I do earnestly hope that in the assignment of actual speeches to the characters they will be represented as I have presented them: in style and sentiment. I should resent perversion of the characters." - J.R.R. Tolkien
I want to remind everyone that this is only the first season. Imagine how this train will derail over five seasons!
