  • Not a full installation video, but hopefully it helps.
    EDIT: YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE PLASTIC TANK COVER. You will also need to loosen the bolts securing the gas tank (5mm allen bolts x4 on either side of the gas tank and a 12mm bolt at the front of the gas tank). This will allow you to move the tank over to the side just enough to get at the bolts on top of the ABS pump/module.
    The torque specs I could find in the interwebz for all the banjo bolts were roughly 12-14 lb/ft

      Sorry this is late, yes the brakes felt great afterwards, a complete difference. Highly recommended!

    When you bled the brakes did you have any issues getting a constant flow out of the left caliper? The right caliper was normal to bleed but the left one wouldn’t give me a steady flow

      @code3kc  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I didn't have any issues. I started bleeding on the right (throttle) side caliper as to pull fluid through the entire system first, before going back and bleeding the left (clutch) side caliper. I also used a pneumatic bleeder which seems to help get more air out more quickly. I would think that if you can get most of the air out, a trick I've seen is to use a zip tie to hold the brake lever in, and leave it over night. The rationale is that by keeping pressure on the lever and on the brake system, it passively squeezes air out of the lines and gets it up into the reservoir. Hope this helps

      @@code3kc Thanks man, been looking everywhere for the answer to which caliper to bleed first. Did my rear brake today, gonna do the front tomorrow. I got a 2020 but actually decided to remove the ABS lines and run stainless steel lines without the ABS system.

    How did you bleed the brakes? What about testing the abs system after installation?
    I'm thinking of doing it but the service manual states a diagnostic test is required.
    Thanks

      I used a pneumatic bleeder, but you can do it by gravity as well. Sport Bike Track Gear has a good instructional video here on TH-cam that I use as a reference. As for the ABS, I never had any issues with it. No lights on the dash ever came up and the ABS still worked

      @@code3kc so you just bled the system same as you would a non-ABS. I have a hand vacuum pump. That should work I guess. How did you test the abs once you were done? I hear you go out, find a nice deserted stretch and heavily apply the brakes to see if the abs kicks in.

    • @code3kc
      @code3kc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OldGuyRidin That's basically what I did. I made sure I had a good feel at the lever first then gradually made harder stops until I felt the ABS kick in. Would recommend putting on a helmet just in case lol

      The company Galfer used this bike to model the steel brake lines off of. They're really helpful, I'm sure if you give them a call they could set you up. You building a stunt bike?

    Do you know how to remove brake lines from abs pump to the front hard lines from a 2018 tracer 900 gt?

    • @code3kc
      @code3kc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've never worked on one of those, but from pictures on Google it looks like a similar ABS pump to this one. If that's the case, then all you have to do is remove the banjo bolts from the ABS pump, which appear to be the same bolts as the ones found on the calipers.

    I want to delete the abs completely, how difficult would it be to remove the modules and the abs lines?

    • @code3kc
      @code3kc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ooo, that sounds like it might be a job. You may be able to pull the fuse for the ABS, but to remove all the components sounds like a bit of work.

    • @hithro5466
      @hithro5466 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The channel twin stunts says removing the fuse is easiest but to fully stunt you’ll want to remove everything. I think they have a video on it.
