  • Hi All. Old Guy Ridin' here.
Well, I did yet another modification or perhaps "upgrade" is a better term to my MT-07. I installed Spiegler steel-braided brake lines in front along with EBS Double 'H' brake pads. Someone who watched my video on the modifications I've done made the suggestion of steel-braided brake lines. I looked into the subject and decided it would be a good investment in the bike. I then watched the available videos on installing new brake lines on a motorcycle equipped with ABS to familiarize myself with the installation process (and there aren't but a few videos out there). Sportbike Track Gear had a couple. After watching them I contacted Chris Van at Sportbike Track Gear with a few questions. He responded with some great answers and advice. So, I bought the brake lines, a speed bleeder bag (from Sportbike Track Gear by the way), and a hand vacuum pump. All I needed now was the right weather for I would have to do this outside (I haven't a garage). That day came and I set out on my project. I'll go into detail about the steps I took, the issues I faced, and the feeling of accomplishment upon completion in another video.
For now, sit back and enjoy.
As always, thank you for watching.

They're definitely better than the stock. Stock lines are rubber and rubber stretches. That's why you should change them every 4 years. The rubber brakeline expands and it takes longer for the brakes to react. Steel-braided NEVER need to be replaced because they won't expand. You made a fine choice and you'll see how much better they bite the rotors. Ride safe.
