Hey Jeff- just leased a 2018 Rav4 XLE Magnetic Gray Metallic with Ash interior in California. My final decision was based on a lot your explanation of all your models. The reasons I stay with Toyota ( 6th lease) are engines never been stuck or failed, quality throughout the vehicles, dealer network and consistent satisfaction.
Hi Richard thanks so much for the huge compliment! I'm still getting used to the term "influencer" but I'm glad I could help you with your decision. You're absolutely right about Toyota and that's why my family consistently sticks with the brand.....it's mechanically a near sure bet as long as you love the car itself! have a great night and enjoy your RAV4! jeff
I love my Toyota limited 2018. Thank u for your videos , they are very informative, helpful and funny as a always. I live in SoCal and your videos helped me get my car.
4:49 But it doesn't have air codition/heater for the backseat passengers. :( I like the sound proof material for the engine in the 2018. I read that the 2019 engine is noisy.
After further review my conclusion is Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh! Great RAV 4! I do remember a few weeks back Jeff you showed how to load up an XLE model with nearly everything the Limited model has but for a few dollars less! Love the Galactic Aqua Mica! I will still wait for the 2019 RAV 4 XSE Hybrid! I like the upcoming twin chrome tipped exhaust on the '19's! Always appreciate your channel! Mark in Iowa.
Jeff's videos are always full of useful info... I like the current RAV4 (the LED projector headlamps on the Limited are very good at night, sharp cutoff and the beam pattern throws the beam pretty far and lights up the road signs pretty well.) However, at this late stage (final year of the current generation of RAV4, and close to end of calendar year + end of production run), it's next to impossible to find a Non-Hybrid J-VIN (final assembly point = Japan) 2018 RAV4 Limited AWD in Blizzard Pearl WITH Advanced Technology Package. The majority of Non-Hybrid 2018 RAV4 out there have VIN which starts with "2" (final assembly point = Canada). Here's the ironic thing: there still are a few Non-Hybrid J-VIN AWD Limited out there, but they either are in color other than Blizzard Pearl and/or do not have Advanced Technology Package. Here's another fun fact: There still are HYBRID 2018 RAV4 out there with J-VIN (all Hybrid RAV4 are made in Japan) in Blizzard Pearl WITH Advanced Technology Package, but a few things about the RAV4 Hybrid I'm not too crazy about: 1. Price is quite a bit higher than Non-Hybrid equivalent 2. CVT transmission feels kinda strange 3. Ride is a bit harsher than the Non-Hybrid equivalent even though it has a tiny bit of extra ground clearance 4. The on-demand AWD on the Hybrid really isn't mechanical but was in fact from a 67-hp electric motor in the rear which is used for the electronic AWD 5. In 8 years/100K miles I'll probably need to get the big battery replaced... I guess I'm better off waiting 3-4 years for the next generation (the new generation which starts with model year 2019) of RAV4 to become matured and to get a mid-cycle refresh. One general complaint about all later years Toyota and Lexus vehicles: What on Earth caused Toyota engineers to decide to put low profile tires with tiny sidewall on the top trim levels? Too little rubber ruins the legendary ride quality for which Toyota/Lexus are known. Yes, yes, I know they're trying to attract the younger generations trying to look cool and all that, but putting a 45-series (225/45R18) on my Avalon made the ride so unnecessarily rough that it feels like riding on bare metal rims whenever driving on less-smooth surface such as streets in urban areas.
Millie Tant No, I just picked up a 2018 in Sept with 16,200 mi coming in off a lease. Has everything BUT the back up sensors. It was a tough call between the one I bought and a 2017 with the sensors, but that one had 25,000 miles...year older, more miles...made the choice a little easier. Loved the sensors though. Jeff does a great job showing us these vehicles. I just watched this video and learned a few more things I didn’t know about my “new” RAV4 - like the console slides and the extenders on the rear view mirrors. Thanks Jeff!
Just discovered your videos. Thanks for the detailed description of features! You sound eerily similar to influencer Nick Johnson (www.youtube.com/@NickJohnson/about).
Prefer this design over the 2019. If I were to get a LE base model then I'd go for the 2019.

Don't call yourself an idiot. It's not nice. Besides, the "contraction control" was quite funny 😂
This is a bullet proof car; especially that 4cyl motor.

Hi is 2024 .is 2018 a good buy?
Of course , it's Toyota. Get a diagnostic and check the records.
Funny and informative!
I must be in the minority but I like this generation's looks in the limited more than the current one.
I love Toyota rav4 limited 2018
I thought all limiteds had rear parking sensors
They should do. I have the base model FWD and it’s got reverse camera and sensors

@@jdevoy2777 same here, i didn’t realized it has the extenders on the rear view mirrors , lol
My limited has “contraction control”. I believe only the limited’s have this special option. 🤣 🤣 🤣
It looks like too much space in the fender , the interior look very good but the exterior look too weak
Real wiper. Other manufactures just put in fake ones.
KEEP THE SINGING 4 THE SHOWER , OTHER WISE NICE PRESENTATION
