Hi! I wanted say congratulations!! I found this channel and I want to start work out with these amazing programs but I didn't know where to start, is this 20 minute video enough to lose weight or should I combine two programs?
This 20 minute program is enough to warm up for actual exercise. You won't lose weight just by doing this unless you also become a lot stricter with your diet (the key part of losing weight anyway).
I just did this for the first time after a long bout of self induced un-health. I’ve never felt weaker in my body than I do now and I’m disappointed with myself. At one point I had to stop and take a break, and I just stared at my arms and thought “I used to be so strong”. A few seconds later you said to say “I am strong!” I never say stuff out loud when I’m alone but I whispered it with tears in my eyes. It was the perfect response. Thank you for this.
Enjoy the process ♡ try to read your body, notice small improvements every day. It's magical ♡ Instead of being disappointed you'll be proud of yourself. See it like if you were your own scientist observing your body. But do it every single day ♡

This was one of the first of Adriene's videos I found and I did it daily for awhile, feeling myself get stronger. Since then I've followed several of the 30 day programs and practiced with lots of videos on the calendar. I came back to this video today. I'm older and it's a little harder than when I started, but I feel stronger when I do it. Thank you, Adriene. You got me through the pandemic, and now you're keeping me flexible and strong as I approach 70.

Root day 4. April 2023. A very wet evening in Galway. Glad to be inside and practicing with Adriene. I don’t remember doing this one before. It’s swift and challenging. I needed a chair for high lunges.
I had avoided this one for a while because of the words "weight loss" -- I'm very intentional about resisting bringing fatphobia into my yoga. But it came up in root and I didn't pay attention to the name before I did it. I'm genuinely so glad because I absolutely loved it. I completely understand why it was brought into root because it was genuinely a really grounding practice (and also really fun!). Whats more, I didn't notice any body shame coming up for me or like I was introducing any new purposes for doing yoga that had to do with what my body looks like (stability and strength yeah). I'm holding onto this one to return to again-- top 3 of my favourite intensive short videos! I said this on another video but Root is really resonating with me so far and I know we have more videos coming up that are on my favourites list. Sending so much gratitude for the labour that went into preparing this month.
Its not fat phobic to lose weight. Fat phobia is judging someone/being rude/ treating someone differently because they are fat However weight loss can be good it means youre taking an act to be healthy if youre overweight or if youre not but would like a lower weight thats okay too because youre bettering yourself the way you see fit just be kind and love your body no matter what state its in 💕

I used to always feel bad about my body image, my weight, my appearance. I felt like I didn't look 'good enough for a girl'. Then one day my teacher, through virtual class said that we needed to care of ourselves, and suggested your yoga videos. I looked them up, and actually tried it! From then on, I could finally feel my legs and stretch them properly. My muscles feel very happy! I have been following along with your videos for a week now and already feel more flexible, calm, and confident. And the mantra, 'I am strong' did make me giggle on Day 1, but I soon later came to accept it, thanks to you. Thanks so much Adriene!! :)
April Day 3! I am more sweaty than I expected for a 20 min video. I’m going to be adding strength training to my yoga routine soon but I’m not sure I’m ready 😅 However this practice made me realize I can do it, ready or not!

I have a back and hip problem. I was considering going to a surgeon but then I started yoga with Adriene 3 weeks ago. I still wake up with pain but after daily practice i am pain free for most of the day, which is an awesome improvement. Thank you Adriene!
Day 15 of Yoga KISS and after a particularly lazy Saturday I was not ready to do my nightly yoga. Luckily, I made myself show up and I'm not disappointed at all! This practice lit a fire in me and I will definitely be coming back to this flow when it's needed!

Thank you so much for everything you do! I've lost sixty pounds over the course of this past year and I owe a lot of it to your vinyasa sequences. ROOT 🌳 | April 4, 2023 | It's been a minute since we saw this practice on the calendar! I'm glad I did it mid-day while my energy was still pretty high, it was perfect to warm up and get the whole body involved. I feel so good and refreshed now which is great for finishing up the rest of my work day! 🙏
This is my first class in several years- I need to build my core strength and muscle at 63. Great class! - wonderfully clear instructions and a perfect pace. Back too tight for one exercise - I look forward to taking the back stretch classes to loosen my back after too much decluttering/ re arranging in Lockdown activity! I've got to start by saying, "Thank You, Adriene". These videos are awesome. I am about to turn 60 and have been doing Yoga for 6-7 month and it is the best part of my day. Today I will complete "Camp 16" and add "Yoga for weight loss" to get 35 minutes of exercise. The best part about yoga is you can take any video and turn it down, or turn it up depending on where you are on that day. I need a good session and I feel good, so I am cranking it up today. I think I'm going to try and do this at least every other day. (Update!) It's been over a year and I haven't done this every other day, no surprise. But, I am getting back on the mat after about 3 months of not doing yoga and I feel amazing after this.
I'm here after Revolution! I've started your January series 3 years in a row, and this was the first time I actually finished it, without skipping any days. I prioritized my yoga time (me time) and it was such a great 30 days that it never felt like I was doing it because I had to - I wanted to be there. I love that you don't talk about weight loss in this video or fat burning or anything negative. While searching weight loss yoga videos I tried a few and didn't like that. I repeat... this is the best yoga workout I've found. I started out doing about 70% of it now I am up to 90%. I have to take a rest now and then. And that is within one week! Not even doing it continuously every day, as I've been doing other strengthening exercises here and there as well. Thanks so much for the gift of YOU Adriene! :)
This isn't a practice that I do regularly, but I need to challenge myself, and I thought I'd give this one a try. I felt confident and connected in many poses, and I others I struggled with a connection. There is no doubt I'll return to the mat and practice this again because it's relevant to my well being. I was smiling like crazy through this! I felt strong even when I shook, even when it was tough. Smiling makes everything easier though! I can definitely feel my thighs now!

And aren't you sometimes concerned that: "I can't even touch my toes, how can I do yoga?" Yoga is not about touching your toes, or stretching 98 degrees to your north-east. It’s a simple process of uniting with yourself - using your breath, body and the mind. And it’s easy and effortless. Yoga A New Dimension to Life: it's best to start learning the yoga practice under the guidance of a experienced yoga teacher who can lead you through the correct way of doing each technique. This would help you learn yoga postures properly and avoid possible injuries. Some of the philosophies or techniques taught in yoga may be new. It is a good idea to keep an open mind as it will help broaden and enhance your yoga experience. Simple wearing, high thinking: Wear comfortable clothing while going for the yoga class or when practicing yoga at home. Also, avoid wearing belts or excessive jewellery as it could get in the way of yoga practice. Wake up at cuckoo’s call: Although It is best to practice yoga postures early morning, if it doesn’t happen, don’t let it be an excuse to not practice yoga at all! You can do it any time of the day as per convenience. Smile to take you through the miles: See the difference for yourself. I love how easy it is to flow with you and just close my eyes and trust your voice. 22 minutes of yoga with you feels like 2 minutes. It's never enough!

+Elena Katsouris Ha! Well it's not called yoga gym. They call it yoga but I call it yoga gym because thats what it is to me. Haha! Yes, maybe someday! There are some more intermediate videos coming out soon. I'd rather folks be safe so I tend to make sure the foundation is there first and that we understand that yoga is about connecting to your highest self.

I love love LOVE your videos! I woke up this past Monday and realized I needed to make a change. My body just does not look like it used to, and it is my own fault. I have tried yoga on and off for the last 7ish years. I've always liked it, but the instructors in the videos or shows I found always had me confused, angry, and unable to relax and enjoy it. But that is why I love you! You don't take things too seriously, you make it easy to follow along (which is great, because I'm a total noob at yoga), and you make it super relaxing! I have only been doing it four days, and I already can tell a difference in my posture, and my strength. The yoga for weight loss videos are perfect, please keep them coming!!!
I did this video today - I've been using your videos nearly every day for the last couple of months to cultivate a home practice. And today, I really believed it when I said "I am strong"! Although i love yoga, dancing is my passion, and through yoga, i have been able to get back into it (I had treatment this past year and was bedridden for a month). I use to do yoga but got away from it due to work. Today I did this, along with your back and hips video and I feel like I'm rusty, but could jump back in. My back is tight, but after 40 minutes I will be doing this, your winddown yoga after work, look through your 10 minute practices before work, and running on my days off. This has been my favorite YWA video for the longest time. It’s my first time coming back to it after giving birth. I struggled w my knee (minor injury from pregnancy weight) but I love this practice for the space, the breaths, the stretch, the sweat, the burn, the strength, even the trembling, and the warmth it brings to my body. Still my fave. ❤️
Day 35 of the current run - this one woke me up. Boat Poses don't destroy me like they used to, but I was sucking air by the end of this one. Still - progress!

Root day 4. April 2023. A very wet evening in Galway. Glad to be inside and practicing with Adriene. I don’t remember doing this one before. It’s swift and challenging. I needed a chair for high lunges.
I had avoided this one for a while because of the words "weight loss" -- I'm very intentional about resisting bringing fatphobia into my yoga. But it came up in root and I didn't pay attention to the name before I did it. I'm genuinely so glad because I absolutely loved it. I completely understand why it was brought into root because it was genuinely a really grounding practice (and also really fun!). Whats more, I didn't notice any body shame coming up for me or like I was introducing any new purposes for doing yoga that had to do with what my body looks like (stability and strength yeah). I'm holding onto this one to return to again-- top 3 of my favourite intensive short videos!
I said this on another video but Root is really resonating with me so far and I know we have more videos coming up that are on my favourites list. Sending so much gratitude for the labour that went into preparing this month.
Its not fat phobic to lose weight. Fat phobia is judging someone/being rude/ treating someone differently because they are fat
However weight loss can be good it means youre taking an act to be healthy if youre overweight or if youre not but would like a lower weight thats okay too because youre bettering yourself the way you see fit just be kind and love your body no matter what state its in 💕

I used to always feel bad about my body image, my weight, my appearance. I felt like I didn't look 'good enough for a girl'. Then one day my teacher, through virtual class said that we needed to care of ourselves, and suggested your yoga videos. I looked them up, and actually tried it! From then on, I could finally feel my legs and stretch them properly. My muscles feel very happy! I have been following along with your videos for a week now and already feel more flexible, calm, and confident. And the mantra, 'I am strong' did make me giggle on Day 1, but I soon later came to accept it, thanks to you. Thanks so much Adriene!! :)
April Day 3! I am more sweaty than I expected for a 20 min video. I’m going to be adding strength training to my yoga routine soon but I’m not sure I’m ready 😅 However this practice made me realize I can do it, ready or not!

I have a back and hip problem. I was considering going to a surgeon but then I started yoga with Adriene 3 weeks ago. I still wake up with pain but after daily practice i am pain free for most of the day, which is an awesome improvement. Thank you Adriene!
Day 15 of Yoga KISS and after a particularly lazy Saturday I was not ready to do my nightly yoga. Luckily, I made myself show up and I'm not disappointed at all! This practice lit a fire in me and I will definitely be coming back to this flow when it's needed!

ROOT 🌳 | April 4, 2023 | It's been a minute since we saw this practice on the calendar! I'm glad I did it mid-day while my energy was still pretty high, it was perfect to warm up and get the whole body involved. I feel so good and refreshed now which is great for finishing up the rest of my work day! 🙏
This is my first class in several years- I need to build my core strength and muscle at 63. Great class! - wonderfully clear instructions and a perfect pace. Back too tight for one exercise - I look forward to taking the back stretch classes to loosen my back after too much decluttering/ re arranging in Lockdown activity! Thank you Adrienne for sharing these classes ❤️

I've got to start by saying, "Thank You, Adriene". These videos are
awesome. I am about to turn 60 and have been doing Yoga for 6-7 month
and it is the best part of my day. Today I will complete "Camp 16" and
add "Yoga for weight loss" to get 35 minutes of exercise. The best part
about yoga is you can take any video and turn it down, or turn it up
depending on where you are on that day. I need a good session and I

I'm here after Revolution! I've started your January series 3 years in a row, and this was the first time I actually finished it, without skipping any days. I prioritized my yoga time (me time) and it was such a great 30 days that it never felt like I was doing it because I had to - I wanted to be there. I repeat... this is the best yoga workout I've found. I started out doing about 70% of it now I am up to 90%. I have to take a rest now and then. And that is within one week! Not even doing it continuously every day, as I've been doing other strengthening exercises here and there as well.

This isn't a practice that I do regularly, but I need to challenge myself, and I thought I'd give this one a try. I felt confident and connected in many poses, and I others I struggled with a connection. There is no doubt I'll return to the mat and practice this again because it's relevant to my well being. Take a deep breath out: Often we equate yoga with some tough poses. And aren't you sometimes concerned that: "I can't even touch my toes, how can I do yoga?" Yoga is not about touching your toes, or stretching 98 degrees to your north-east. It’s a simple process of uniting with yourself - using your breath, body and the mind. And it’s easy and effortless.
Yoga A New Dimension to Life: it's best to start learning the yoga practice under the guidance of a experienced yoga teacher who can lead you through the correct way of doing each technique. This would help you learn yoga postures properly and avoid possible injuries. Some of the philosophies or techniques taught in yoga may be new. It is a good idea to keep an open mind as it will help broaden and enhance your yoga experience.
Simple wearing, high thinking: Wear comfortable clothing while going for the yoga class or when practicing yoga at home. Also, avoid wearing belts or excessive jewellery as it could get in the way of yoga practice.
Wake up at cuckoo’s call: Although It is best to practice yoga postures early morning, if it doesn’t happen, don’t let it be an excuse to not practice yoga at all! You can do it any time of the day as per convenience.
Smile to take you through the miles: See the difference for yourself. Keeping a gentle smile relaxes the body and mind and helps you enjoy the yoga postures much more.

I love how easy it is to flow with you and just close my eyes and trust your voice. 22 minutes of yoga with you feels like 2 minutes. It's never enough!

+Elena Katsouris Ha! Well it's not called yoga gym. They call it yoga but I call it yoga gym because thats what it is to me. Haha! Yes, maybe someday! There are some more intermediate videos coming out soon. I'd rather folks be safe so I tend to make sure the foundation is there first and that we understand that yoga is about connecting to your highest self.

I love love LOVE your videos! I woke up this past Monday and realized I needed to make a change. My body just does not look like it used to, and it is my own fault. I have tried yoga on and off for the last 7ish years. I've always liked it, but the instructors in the videos or shows I found always had me confused, angry, and unable to relax and enjoy it. But that is why I love you! You don't take things too seriously, you make it easy to follow along (which is great, because I'm a total noob at yoga), and you make it super relaxing! I have only been doing it four days, and I already can tell a difference in my posture, and my strength. The yoga for weight loss videos are perfect, please keep them coming!!!

I use to do yoga but got away from it due to work. Today I did this, along with your back and hips video and I feel like I'm rusty, but could jump back in. My back is tight, but after 40 minutes I will be doing this, your winddown yoga after work, look through your 10 minute practices before work, and running on my days off. This has been my favorite YWA video for the longest time. It’s my first time coming back to it after giving birth. I struggled w my knee (minor injury from pregnancy weight) but I love this practice for the space, the breaths, the stretch, the sweat, the burn, the strength, even the trembling, and the warmth it brings to my body. Still my fave. ❤️
Day 35 of the current run - this one woke me up. Boat Poses don't destroy me like they used to, but I was sucking air by the end of this one. Still - progress!

Done yoga for 2 weeks and a half now and I'm really loving it. This is my favourite one so far. And you definitely the best yoga instructor on yt. I actually understood what I was doing and when I needed to reposition my hips, feet or arms.

These quick flow series are always my favorite even though they challenge me and can be difficult at times for me, so much that I sometimes have to stop and catch my breath, but I love ❤️ it. Strange, I know, it's just being able to conquer something that's difficult for my body as I get stronger 💪🏽with each one.
