Yes, I know there still are new games coming out for the system, but those are unofficial releases, which is why I said the last official games for the system came out in 2007.

I personally think Sega made a big mistake discontinuing Dreamcast production... The console had a huge untapped potential, even compared to PS2.
It just couldn't compete, what with the marketing muscle of Sony and the DVD player in the PS2.Maybe they could have held on longer, had they not had the Saturn under their belt as well.

Nice to see a new video and such a great Dreamcast collection - I have around 25 games at the moment but still looking out for more :)
Great video. I'm starting to build up my dreamcast collection myself. The prices have actually gone down on DC stuff which is surprising. I guess the Nes and Snes are the FOTM. My skies of arcadia just came and I love the disc art and the effort put into the overall game packaging. Collecting retro games is just so satisfying.

Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 may suffer from slight camera issues, but they're both phenomenal in terms of platformers. Not to be underestimated
Takes me back it was a great console in its day , I remember playing Quake arena online [ Dialup ] resi evil was very tricky to play and the two best games Shenmue 1 and 2 pity they never made a final Shenmue 3 , Also the cases broke easily ; /
Cant believe that Zombie Revenge wasn't on here, that was my favorite Dreamcast game, no doubt.

Good! Could you give me some feedback? I used the microphone differently in this video and in the Infamous CE unboxing, which one do you prefer?
finngamer I like it more the way it is in this Video, with the Microphone closer to your mouth! There is less room reverb on your voice and less White noise :)
Hey finngamer, you mentioned that you wanted feedback re the sound on this video vs the infamous CE unboxing video. The sound on this one was much better, the sound on the infamous video had an odd echo to it. So whatever you did here worked. Awesome video as usual btw.
The sound quality is flawless
It still is a great system, a head of its time. I still have the force feedback light guns for it, unfortunately not the old tube tv that the guns were only compatible with.
You NEED to get Powerstone 1 and 2 mate, Dreamcast essentials :)

Code Veronica was not the first RE game to feature not pre rendered backgrounds. Resident Evil Survivor didn't have pre rendered backrounds.
So Shenmue is the game to blame about QTEs! Haha. Gotta love those Dreamcast cases, reminds me about original PlayStation cases, which are the still the coolest looking ones. It makes me every time very happy to find one of those in mint condition.
Dreamcast cases are the WORST when it comes to durability. Much more fragile than PS1 cases.But all my DC and PS1 games have crack-free cases, I've put in the effort. :)
finngamer I must have been mistaken, I swear I saw cracks in several cases in the video.
Dreamcast games, no. They're all crack free.
I think I do have two PS1 games that have a miniscule crack somewhere on them.
finngamer I can see a crack (or damage) on F355 @ 2:05, I see a thin one @ 2:18, I have seen more.

Hey finngmer, could I ask what sort of video camera you use?
Just bought a new one, pretty entry level, but it's a "real" camera. It's a Nikon D3200.
Okay thanks! I've been looking for a new one since my Flip Ultra HD doesn't focus and when I show things close up they just look blurry.

finngamer I have Canon equivalent 600D and it's pain in the ass to do videos without auto focus, but at least the quality is good. I'm my self Nikon guy, but she said we are getting Canon, so we got Canon..
I still feel the dreamcast cases are the best ones ever made. Sure, they fall apart all over the place even if you just blow on it too hard lol. But as a gaming collector they stand out over every other console (for me anyway). I also love the n64 boxes although I wouldn't attempt collecting it as it's ridiculous how much it costs to buy the n64 boxed games.
Have you tried out propellor arena for the dreamcast finngamer? It's an absolute beast of a game. Shame it never had an official dreamcast release because of 911. But at least it was finished and leaked.
Crazycupmuffin Yeah, DC cases are so cool. I got my collection of boxed N64 games when they were still pretty cheap, pretty happy about that. :) Haven't played Propeller Arena.

finngamer I guess you're both talking about the PAL cases. They're neat but the Japanese and North American standard jewel cases were pretty good and had the better logo colour in my opinion.
Apparently the Japanese logo colour is slightly different from even the North American one, however, which is puzzling.
I like the large modern cases though, personally. More room for artwork, and that's about all we get these days.
Curious thing that Phantasy Star Online has a demo of Sonic Adventure 2 for Playstation. Can't imagine cross-platform demo's today.
What makes you think it's for PlayStation? It's not, it's a DC demo. Sega wasn't doing games for other platforms then, and Sonic Adventure & Sonic Adventure 2 were not even released on the PS2, only GameCube.

I have a question, does a French DREAMCAST console only work with French games? Or a French dreamcast console can play games from uk, spain, italy?
They're all PAL, so all European games work on European Dreamcasts.

I never really like game packaging that is a set color like blue or green, because there is always going to be cover art that clashes badly with the case or looks ugly. In the case of the Wii U, I feel like the green layout of Rayman Legends, for example, looks bad when compared to the light blue case for the game. It's just a nitpick of course, but I always liked game cases to be black or white, or some neutral color.
I love the way European DC games look like when side to side on a shelf. :)

Muutaman videon ajan olen käyttäänyt tätä kameraa. Tässä on ulkoinen mikrofoni, käänsin sen vain itseeni päin sen sijaan että ottaisin täsmä-ääniä pelien kolistelusta.
Okei! Ei oo tullu katottua unboxauksia pitkään aikaan niin luulin. että tää olis eka video uudella kameralla. :)
Great system, great games but honestly one of the worst controllers ever. Piracy and Sega's marketing didn't kill it IMO, that controller did.
