Gamecube is just awesome, started my collecting again.
Its funny how it was one of the worst selling consoles but it was also one of the most fun, with some of the best games.

I have 118 games for the GC currently. There were 2 that I was planning on getting to complete my collection, but I think I'll abandon those. Actually, I'm thinking of trimming down my collection to only the essentials. If I do, I'll probably wind up with about 60 or 70. Idk, I'll take a look at my collection again, thanks for sharing yours!

The GameCube was the system I grew up with and it still stands as my favorite console. It's a shame looking back how poorly it did in sales vs the PlayStation 2. Although the ps2 has, what? Almost 4000 games I love the exclusives on the GameCube. Thanks for sharing this:)

Hearing you talk about Eternal Darkness reminded me of when I was little. At one point in the game (I was pretty far through) the Game Cube memory management screen came up and started to wipe all the saves! I remember shouting for my dad panicking. We had a good laugh when we realised what happened, but I was bricking it at the time. My dad had a lot of saves. Those were the days... :')
I loved this video man. So much nostalgia for me. The Gamecube was my first system that wasn't a hand-me-down from my older brother lol. He had the PS2 and Dreamcast. Watched this whole thing before work and it put me in a great mood, thanks for that! Also, am I the only one who thought the GC was king of cel shaded games and wanted a Resident Evil on it with that style? :D
Nice collection, for me Rogue Squadron 3 was the system seller for the Gamecube, I actually have that game before I got the console itself. =) And it´s definitely the best game for the Gamecube.
Don´t you have the Gameboy player for Gamecube ? it´s great you can play GBA games at your TV, like Metroid Fusion. Or freeloader for NTSC games ? I have the freeloader for the Mega man Anniversary collection.
I still lookong for Resident evil 3, Luigi´s Mansion and maybe some Mario Party game for Gamecube but I don´t want to pay ludicrous price for those. Of course there is tons of shovelware games for gamecube if you want to buy just for collecting, but I don´t.
I do have the GB Player, it's fantastic.I also have a modded GameCube, so it plays all region games.
rogue squadron 3 has insanely hard coop for rogue squadron 2 included :D. competititive gamemodes were definitely fun and unlockables for arcade games were great extra. On foot missions ruined star wars experience but its great if you can ignore them mistakes

came across my Cube packed away the other day. I picked it up a moment (by the badass handle) to admire how awesome it is. Seriously probably my favorite looking system. There is just something about it. INDIGO for life. Now i want to hook it up.

Mario Baseball WAS released in Europe, I remember going into GAME and seeing it on the shelf. The sequel on Wii wasn't released over here tho.

I am guessing Baseball is not a popular sport in Europe oddly I hated the 1st game the controls were wonky as fuck it was terrible IMO I couldn't finish it due to it's terrible controls IMO Sluggers on the Wii though I loved that game man. It was a hell of a lot better and this is one of the few examples where I say Motion Controls makes the game a lot more enhanced.
The Gamecube is one of my favourite systems because of the great exclusives that were given to us by 3rd party developers, as well as Nintendo. I hope to someday say the same about the Wii U.

I liked RE0, but I still prefer the remake of the 1st game. Zero for me had some really cheesy parts that put me off, but the graphics were amazing. Great video BTW.
The GameCube has some of the most unique and fun games, and is also home to many of the best games in their respective franchises.
Oh! I've always wanted the Limited Edition Wind Waker since I only have the regular one even though I bought it close to the release. I guess I won't be selling this one anytime soon. :D

I see you are a big collector, and i have a few questions. I own a few rare PC games made in the 90s and some of them still have the factory seal still intact, im talking about the plastic wrapping. How does this affect the value of said items? Thanks!

I actually have played the Nintendo GameCube before. I was at a friend's house with some friends and I had the chance to try it. I would love to own a Nintendo GameCube one day. The other console I would also love to own is the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
I would also love to own the Original Nintendo Entertainment System again.

How did you modify your one cube(you revealed that in one comment)softmod or hardmod, I have 2 qoob pro chips and viper extreme but nowadays they have ide-exi hdd adaptor for memory card slot, I need to get that stuff for my cube. btw. I remember when I posted bba - broadband adaptor for you 2-3 years ago, mario kart series rock, you should try homebrew with bba
I got two cubes, one is the one I bought at launch and the other I got while I was working in a game store. We got the modded console in as a trade and I bought it myself. :)
"Way too much" is a bit of an exaggeration. Just a smidge xD I enjoy your videos, man, but I don't usually have an hour at a time to spare ;p I'm saving this to my "watch later" list for now, but in the future, maybe making long videos like these into 2-parters could be a good idea. Just some food for thought :)
Nintendo and Disney were very much like around this period, releasing stuff that didn’t really seem to fall under people’s attention and were overshadowed by their competitors. Similar to how the GameCube was never under public attention due to the PS2’s DVD-playing capabilities, Disney released movies like Atlantis and Treasure Planet that were considered dull and unexciting compared to films like Shrek.
I hate it when people say all the hardcore players and hardcore smash fans always play Melee and stuff and consider it the best setting this as the norm. I'm a hardcore player and fan of the series too myself and I think Melee is the worst of the series so far, it didn't have the originality the first game brought and missed the fluid gameplay and stage builder among others that Brawl brought..
Anway I had some time to kill at work, watched the entire video in one sitting and even made some notes because I was just THAT bored. I wrote down a few things I liked and disliked to keep track if I wanted to vote your video up or down (I told you I was bored) and in the end it was 5 to 5 so I guess I'm staying neutral on this vid.

Yeah, to me the more content is in the game, the better.
But the tournament players are so caught up in the specific rules of Melee, that they think everything different is worse. They've already crucified the next Smash just by viewing videos.

Agreed, the new one looks amazing, not just graphically but the character roster too. I hope the full this game up to the top. For the biggest part I just hope they bring the stage builder back.
Also another thing I forgot to mention Finn, Gotcha Force a game developed and published by Capcom was also a GameCube exclusive! Didn't know if you mentioned it here , but just a heads up :)

The gamecube aged way better than n64 and wii, but it's $300 for a component cable that's why I gave that away.

Nah, not at the moment at least. I pretty much have all the essential games here, the rest would just be filler.
Can you tell us how many games you now have for your Wii U? Maybe an update collection at the end of the year would be nice.
I have 86 unique games for it, 91 if you count different variations of a same game. As there's new games coming out all the time I can't really do a "complete" video anytime soon, so I think I'll do an update once I hit 100 games. :)

I agree with your thoughts about Resident Evil. Capcom took the action too far with 5 and 6. Hopefully one day they will deliver a new Resident Evil game of the classic survival horror style again.
Wait, the PAL version of GameCube games have the logo at the TOP of the spine? I'm not used to that. Although, that is what Hollywood Video did with their rental copies back in gen 6.
Well, every DVD-cased spine ever has the logo on the top, except the US GC.

Animal crossing gc was the first game. While yes, the first RELEASE was on n64, it is the same game, simply with better graphics and more features
someone should make a remix out of his stutter noises.
1. i do think dd is best mk. 2. Started prime. need to get back to playing it. ttyd was so ahead of its time. everyone needs to replay it. memorable phrases from a recent playthrough include "I don't want to be a sell out", "you only live once", and something about globel warming. 3. never played the gba games multiplayer but loved ffcc single player but fsa was at times dragging. a lot of the internet seems to hate ffcc though :( 4. recently started pikmen but never got into it. 5. the smaller box was used for the gba player disk out of the jp region. 6. I liked SMS and 64 more than galaxy cause the levels were more important/less linear/idk

Mr. Finngamer, what is your take on mobile games and emulators?
Mobile games are not for me, too simple.I understand the attaraction in emulators, but the games are simply not at their best when played on a computer, glitchy, with added help of saves, etc. The experience just is poor, I play all my games on original platforms with original controllers.

Super Mario Sunshine had some extremely frustrating parts which ruined the game for me. It did have some amazing bits as well, and beautiful graphics and environments. Some good ideas, but overall my least favourite Mario game.
