I love the two of you, your humour and positivity is inspiring. I have Primary Progressive MS and I've been a full time wheelchair user for 5 years now. I'm on my own so it's not easy. Nice origin story! I have a feeding tube, and sometimes my wife very seriously turns to me and says "at least I can eat." I think it's hilarious. I totally get disability humor in relationships. :)

I love the 2 of you together! I am disabled by 4 neurological disorders. My family and true friends make "mean" comments about me all the time, and I'm the first to belly laugh! I think it's great that Hannah is way past Shane's disability and teases him as much as Shane teases her. You're both keepers❣💘💘❣
@@bellesparks4374 oh, no! They are my rocks, my helpers and we all have a great sense of humor! Nobody makes truly mean comments. Actually I throw zingers at them more than they do to me! When things get serious and I'm having trouble with something or am very down on myself they come to me to get lists of anything that I need and they'll get them for me. When I need to be lifted out of the dark hole, aka very depressed, they bring food, help with cleaning and get me laughing hard again. Naturally, I send "insults" directly to them and we all have a lot of laughter. They'll move Heaven and Earth if I want to go to see a movie and have dinner out. Just today, one of them brought me her warm, uber-delicious homemade cookies. Some Sundays, when she has her parents and in-laws over for dinner, she brings me a huge plate of food! For example, one of them made us lunch at her home. She'd told me the menu ahead of time and I was just looking forward to catching up with her life. Instead of making what she'd said would be making, I discovered that she'd changed her mind about the lunch menu and made delicious Italian wedding soup, which I truly like very much. When lunch was ready and I'd had a few spoonfuls of her wedding soup, I mocked outrage!
@@bellesparks4374 oh, no, you misunderstand. My friends and family are so good to me! Long before I got so sick and disabled, we teased each other with "mean" comments. It was and is an hilarious game of one-upmanship! When I got all of my neurological disorders and diseases, they and I carried on the game. A great sense of humor is the best way to make us all cope with my increasingly obvious disease progression. But, when I go through an especially disabling flare-up, they are always here for me. My sister is very kind and loving, but if she can make some fun of my condition, she does! But she let's me know how much she loves me every day. I've got 6 cousins who are the sweetest people who live their Christianity. If I need anything, they come running. One of my cousins who is my age picked up the phone about a month ago just to tell me that he loves me and that I am always welcome at his and his wife's home! They know that I am alone on Christmas day and I've been going to their home for dinner and a grab bag afterwards. Hilarity ensues! I'm always invited to the yearly family reunion each July 4th; at a pumpkin carving contest around October 20th is my day to be completely ridiculed because my hands are too weak to properly carve a pumpkin. Understand that it is all done with love. They know me well. If they would be pitying me and treating me as such, I would cry. The insults are not limited in my direction; everyone gets "mean" comments and insults! I am not treated differently and I prefer it that way. We laugh till we cry and there are a lot of hugs and expressions of love. I always let my family know that I love them for including The Cripple in every family event. My friends. They check in on me every day and will go to a store to get me what I need. I'll find homemade cookies in my mailbox at random moments. I'm so very blessed and happy with my family and friends! How many people are lavished with so much love??
I am so glad! Lol. I did misunderstand. Sorry about that. I have ms and me and my husband say it is better to laugh than cry:)! We have some especially embarrassing moments that are really hilarious even to us in the moment. Sometimes we just stop whatever we are doing and start laughing and it is much better to smile:)!
I laugh so much every time I watch you two, Shane's attitude is so positive and Hannah brings out the best in him! I love watching all of your videos, thank you for sharing your lives! Happy early birthday Shane!
Closed captions: "my parents were both carriers" = "Mike Harrison vegetarians." I sometimes use cc to help me hear better, but the system TH-cam (I assume) uses has too many mistakes to be useful.
I dont get it because TH-cam not too long ago put auto generated captions on all the videos on the home tab before you select a video to watch and the captions are actually very decent. Yet the auto generated captions you turn on for the video are STILL pretty awful. How do they (as in TH-cam) have a system that works but not universally use it. Urg...frustrating.
I completely love you guys! You are pure inspiration. I have fshd muscular dystrophy. I love how you both show we are more than just our bodies. Hannah I love how you give Shane so much normalcy. I hate feeling "different " I love support and nurturing from my husband, but I also love that my husband has normalized my condition. I don't like to feel I'm just my illness, but rather I'm my husband's beautiful wife. After I mourned my health I realized everyones body will break or weaken, but our minds and souls are what matters. I love you Shane and Hannah!
I wish more people would think like you, Shane and Hannah. You've come to terms with your diagnosis and yet make the best of your life. That's really admirable and people should look at you as an example of happy living with a wheelchair. A really happy life - and your sense of humor is very cool and addictive. I worked and work with people with disabilities, and I study medicine - I want to be a neurologist. You're great the way you are. Really. Regards from Germany.
Very informative. It's always a good thing to learn more about other's disabilities. The more we know the more clearly we can see and understand. It takes away the mystery that causes us to step back from those in wheelchairs. All that said the reason I watch you two is for the laughter you add to my life. I like to watch uplifting videos. You guys are super. And thank you for sharing your ongoing life story.
Hey Shane and Hannah, I just wanted to say I love your videos! My little brother has a chrome disorder and is disabled so I absolutely love your positive attitudes! So inspiring and fun to watch ❤️
@mommymode1985 how is it sad? Shane has a good life. He's stated he was really excited to get his first wheelchair, so if he's not sad why are you? Unless you're upholding negative views of what disability means? Do you understand how patronising it is to view someones life as sad when they don't?
@mommymode1985 that is one perspective. Some people cant handle normal healthy babies...my mom was an awful mother and I was not disabled. Now i am 39 and emotionally and psychologically disturbed from years of being unloved and toxic relationships. I AM A BURDEN BC I AM MENTAL CASE. this happy guy in a wheelchair is not a burden. ITS ALL PERSPECTIVE
My son got diagnosed with type 1 SMA... and we thank the Lord he was eligible for Zolgesma life saving treatment. Thee most expensive drug in the world. God bless the NHS (UK). You guys are great. Inspiring !! X

Well ... you are a fantastic young couple and compliment each other nicely. Thank you for sharing your life with the rest of us Shane and Hannah. I wish you well and I am sure you will have a fabulous life together. It looks like fun to me!
I love your guy’s sense of humor. I was born with a very rare disability called Femoral Hypoplasia Unusual Facies Syndrome. I’m only 3ft 4in tall. I was born with a cleft palette, club feet, no femur bones in my legs, no Gina in either leg, and my elbows are fused at different angles. You guys are awesome to watch; I love the fact that you educate people while still having a sense of humor about it all. I wish you all the best!!!! 💞
I really love watching your videos. You make me smile when I'm down, and to take a second to be thankful for what I have, instead of worrying about what I have no control over. You also inspire so many people, with your humor and sincerity. All my love to both of you!!
This was hysterical, It only took me 2 days to read my book, I enjoyed all the amazing laughs, I donated to your Facebook fundraiser! Love you both, keep it up!
Hi...huge fan of yours here who lurks. I love to watch your videos, you both touch my heart. Shane's story sparked one of my most intense childhood memories so I had to share. When I had my first EMG (electrocution torture test - LOL) I was 6 years old, this was in 1978, they did full body and deep muscle tissue all over arms and legs. It was all needles then, even the surface auxiliary locations on hands and feet that they use sticky electrodes for now. Back then there was only needles (EEGs were the same!). Childrens Hospital told my Mom it would be too difficult for her to watch. So my Dad went in with me. They bought me a new Barbie on our way to the appointment to bribe me to be good. For most of the test my Dad couldn't touch me. He sat at my feet where I could see him. It was the worst pain I had ever experienced. I cried and screamed a lot, they had to hold me down a lot. But the most memorable part of it was that it was the first time I saw my Dad cry. He cried like a baby the entire time. I have had to get EMG's more times than I can count since, and every time a new Neuro tells me they want to do it, a memory of my Dad totally sobbing and red flashes before me, and that brand new Barbie doll in my hand afterward whose hair was completely destroyed during the test from spasming and thrashing around while it was tightly gripped in my hand the entire time. It's a horrible experience, and for whatever reason it seems to cause me more pain than most people. It also gave me a HUGE phobia of needles like Shane!
I'm a straight and married 24 year old mom but I have the biggest crush on both of you, I swear hahaha shane your sense of humor is the best and Hannah your smile gives me tingles. I love you both!!
My bday is the 28th yay!!!! Love you guys! You show people love has no boundaries. It doesn't matter if you're able-bodied or if you have a disability like yours. It doesn't matter you can still be with that person and be happy and love each other! You show people that there is hope even if you have a disability that you can still find love and I think that's amazing! I love your channel and I wish you guys nothing but continued happiness!
The two of you always make my heart laugh and smile. I just love you! Thank you so much for your videos, for sharing your amazing lives with all of us. You rock!
I'm a C4 quadriplegic due to a roll over car accident 13 years ago. I was on a ventilator with feeding tubes for about 10 months. During my in patient hospital stay I didn't realize how close to death I was but thought I was the most adversely affected by the situation but soon came to see how much my husband, mother, friends and family suffered more than I did.

You guys are the best, I LOVE the way Hanna smiles at Shane....
You need new family and friends.
The way they love each other is inspirational
Love the way Hannah just says NOPE to Shane’s made up stories lol
Karen Taylor it’s literally my favorite part of each episode b/c of how elaborate his stories are and how quick her response is lol 😂
Hannah would be the ONLY gift I'd ever need...seriously ....Hannah is THE BEST....
I am disabled. I am also abled!❤️
Oh my God... Right when he said "pull my pants down" an ad came on and I laughed so hard! LOL! TH-cam was like NOPE!
TheRisskee omg I’m watching this video rn and it did that for me too xD
XD!!!
TheRisskee OMG The same thing happened to me. I thought it was just a little ‘interlude’. I giggled.
I love you guys, it always makes my day just to watch y'all's videos, y'all always put a smile on my face 😊
“Little Shane” could be your rapper name. 🤣
*lil
Or lil shay shay
I learn a lot from this channel. You young ppl these days are just wonderful.
'' that you know of'' you two are made for each other, so witty, your sense of humour is just amazing.
I laugh so much every time I watch you two, Shane's attitude is so positive and Hannah brings out the best in him! I love watching all of your videos, thank you for sharing your lives! Happy early birthday Shane!
These are two amazing humans and I’m so happy they found each other ♥️
I could watch you two all day. You both have so much chemistry and your sense of humour Shane 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Shane you have the best sense of humor. I adore how you make the best of your situation. I know that it’s hard for you but you always keep smiling!
Happy early birthday Shane!! :) I cant believe you're turning 27.. you seem so much wiser than your age! I love you guys, keep being awesome :)
I love the way how you two interact with each other it's so sweet
Closed captions: "my parents were both carriers" = "Mike Harrison vegetarians." I sometimes use cc to help me hear better, but the system TH-cam (I assume) uses has too many mistakes to be useful.
Fern Savannah I bet that Hannah and Shane will add CC done by them or the community as soon as they are done. TH-cam’s are the worst.
I need captions to help me understand what they are saying
I completely love you guys! You are pure inspiration. I have fshd muscular dystrophy. I love how you both show we are more than just our bodies. Hannah I love how you give Shane so much normalcy. I hate feeling "different " I love support and nurturing from my husband, but I also love that my husband has normalized my condition. I don't like to feel I'm just my illness, but rather I'm my husband's beautiful wife. After I mourned my health I realized everyones body will break or weaken, but our minds and souls are what matters. I love you Shane and Hannah!
I Love your humour!!!! You both are so personable, its great to watch you interact together!
Hannah you are amazing sticking with Shane. You are a beautiful woman and Shane is so luck to have you
Hey we are birthday buddies I'm the day after you. Love you both. Have an amazing birthday Shane lots of love
You never fail to make me smile. You have no idea what a rare treat that is for me. Thank you.
"I came right out in my wheelchair." 😂 Too funny. Happy Birthday, Shane!! 🎉🎂🎈
You two were so meant to be together; you're two peas in a pod!
Happy early birthday, Shane.
Thanks to you both for all the excellent info.
Hey Shane and Hannah, I just wanted to say I love your videos! My little brother has a chrome disorder and is disabled so I absolutely love your positive attitudes! So inspiring and fun to watch ❤️
please show a pic of a 2 1/2 year old shane in his wheelchair. That has to be the cutest!!!
@mommymode1985 how is it sad? Shane has a good life. He's stated he was really excited to get his first wheelchair, so if he's not sad why are you? Unless you're upholding negative views of what disability means?
Do you understand how patronising it is to view someones life as sad when they don't?
@mommymode1985 Missing the point
Very sad?!! What?! Not at all. He is happy and living a very fulfilled life.
@mommymode1985 hes lucky to be alive. Not sad
Shane (Batting eyelashes): "The way I presented with, like, my glimmering eyes and my charm, my intelligence..." I'm dying 😂😂😂😂😂
Which bit do you mean where was that? Did I literally miss that bit I think I missed that bit? Can you give timestamp? Give timestamp please give stamp off the time when this actually happened I didn't see it all at all actually so please give z a time stamp if you can 🦏
5:14 he's giving a fake explanation of how the doctor knew he had SMA.
I love how self-entertaining Shane is. The fact that he cracks himself up cracks me up!
What AMAZING parents you must have, to have raised such wonderful "kids".
They both have lovely parents, who have all featured in their videos if you look more carefully into their channel.
I love this couple !!! I'm 75 yrs old and I just regret that I could have watched this couple when I was a child !! I would have learned quickly about life and love which has taken me most of my life to learn !!❤❤
Well ... you are a fantastic young couple and compliment each other nicely.
Eyyy we got the same birthday, Shane! Happy early birthday!!🎉
I love your energy! I love the way she picks at you. She’s fun and picks just like any couple. Love you both!
Love you both! And LOVE Hannah’s “nopes” in every video..hysterical 😆❤️
May 28th is my son's birthday as well. He's 17 years old🤗🎂Happy birthday Shane! You are an inspiration and your sense of humor is awesome!!!!
Omg my birthdays on May 28th too!!! Happy birthday Shane!!!!!!!!
"And then they had to cut his little baby leg..." LMAO! Hannah explaining medical procedures is EVERYTHING!
Mine was the 21st. 42and I got no gifts except for watching my son graduate high school. That was the best day ever
I'm a straight and married 24 year old mom but I have the biggest crush on both of you, I swear hahaha shane your sense of humor is the best and Hannah your smile gives me tingles. I love you both!!
Z uhhhh what?
I am in love with the cat pillow Shane is laying on! I know this is a year old video but I’m just finding you guys and I’m so happy I did!!! 💕💕💕
2:23 I will never be able to unsee the emerging newborn Shane rolling out of...life's great portal into existence. What a divine nativity story!
Quite an image isn't it
Every show I watch I like you guys more and more. Your positivity is contagious.
Omg I just decided I want baby pictures of both of you so cute
Yaaasss!
There's some pics in his books ❤️
Yeeesss! 😍
Wtf
My bday is the 28th yay!!!! Love you guys! You show people love has no boundaries. It doesn't matter if you're able-bodied or if you have a disability like yours. It doesn't matter you can still be with that person and be happy and love each other! You show people that there is hope even if you have a disability that you can still find love and I think that's amazing! I love your channel and I wish you guys nothing but continued happiness!
Look forward to watching you each day,,, thank you for letting us be part of your journey!
Shane, I love how open and honest you are about everything. Love your sense of humor. ❤
My doctor knew right away by my tongue!
My muscle biopsy also said Type 1, but the genetic testing I did for Spinraza says Type 2
The two of you always make my heart laugh and smile. I just love you! Thank you so much for your videos, for sharing your amazing lives with all of us. You rock!
I'm a spinal cord injury from playing football. My service dog Ricardo had a birthday last Saturday. Happy B-day. AWESOME videos!
Professor of Perseverance Happy Birthday Ricardo 🎂
@@beelarehman5992 Thank you Beela. Have a blessed day.
🎈 🎂 🌞 🌻 🌈
I'm a C4 quadriplegic due to a roll over car accident 13 years ago. I was on a ventilator with feeding tubes for about 10 months. During my in patient hospital stay I didn't realize how close to death I was but thought I was the most adversely affected by the situation but soon came to see how much my husband, mother, friends and family suffered more than I did.
Professor of Perseverance thanks! I’ve subscribed
My birthday is May 28th too!!! Happy late birthday. I just started following the channel and I think is great!
Thanks for filling us in on your diagnosis journey. You were such a cute munchkin. Hugs to you both.
Shane’s so funny and Hanna just adores him :) always great having someone that makes you smile daily
Maybe I missed this in an earlier video, but what is the explanation or meaning behind “Squirmy & Grubs”.
I have really enjoyed all of your videos!!
squirmy is Hannah because she moves a lot in her sleep and grubs is Shane because his hands are really sweaty and grubby
Hello from France ! I just love so much the way Hannah is looking at Shane, and Shane at Hannah ... LOVE IS ALL !!!!
