I served in the US Military and I've seen in other countries where they do similar to this, the eggs/Roe she crushed created the smell in the water to attract the fish. Some countries they do the same but with bamboo to make fences in the water to divert fish into a cage area, it works if you know how to do it. Its illegal here in the USA.
This was an excellent video until the "released" fish were shown swimming into the trap. No way were that many fish flowing into that thing that fast. Great scenery, pretty girl, interesting concept, bad finish.

why not show when the fish goes in? to prove that it's not a lie, the camera angle is facing away from the fish entrance, so it's doubtful.. I assume the fish is not from the river or was put in on purpose 😊

Itbis a tributary stream connected either to the Mekong River or some other river that has ebb and flow according to tides. In VN the Mekong would raise 5 or 6 ft at high tide and at low tide our engine propellers would be churning mud.
What a clever setup, that’s a *lot* of fish! (Did they really just swim in there on their own? The footage of them swimming into the trap seemed to happen much more quickly than I think would be the case naturally.)

This is a fake video. The video never shows the fish entering the spiral. To the side of the spiral, you will see that no other fish are passing by at all. It would appear that someone is dubbing.
