I loved Heat of the Night, and have been watching re-runs for several weeks. I loved the cast, and they certainly made life real. I miss the show over the years. I will continue to watch the re-runs until they stop.

Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger's movie in the Heat of the night is still a very good movie.O'Connor and Rollins's deaths are so sad as many deaths are😂
Poor research. Hugh O'Connor was Carroll O'Connor's son. Althea Tibbs was a teacher not a social worker & was not happy in Sparta, she left Virgil taking their twins with her back to Pennsylvania. She was never smitten with Bubba.
I was disappointed you didn't mention Lois Nettleton as she was one of my favorite characters on the show which is my all time favorite series and watch them today when I have the time. Thanks for this review and I liked and subbed~!!!
So I was a nurse at Newton County Hospital and met Hugh one day when my patient showed me her autograph from him; she told he they were filming at our back door(where we discharged moms and babies). I went and met him and he smiled and gave me his autograph that I still have. He was handsome, friendly and gracious.

You gave the Irish actor/producer acting history, not Hugh’s who was actually born in Italy and adopted by Carrol O’Connor and his wife when he was still an infant.
