Good progress last months, uphill battle ahead. Still tuning and turning the water treatment of this tank I think we have Dinoflagellates, Dinos, Amphidinium on visit Music Fleas - Dyalla
Hello Peter. Dinoflagellates are horrible. I have battled them a few times in recent years. Fortunately I had the kind that are waterborne when the lights go off. That way I could use a 24/7 UV sterilizer to get them under control. Also, I try to make sure my nutrients never bottom out. I wish you success.
@GwonkReefkeeping They are a pain.... the only good they bring is teaching me how to fight them or how to quit... I haven't figured out why this tank skewed P-N ratio of nutrients... and also why the Dinos come messing at the ratio 30ppm NO3 and 0.03 ppm PO4... part of the answer I believe is P-N ratio, part is using "dead sand" being a lot of area for nasties to claim. well, I will post a mid-month video on the progress.. I keep you posted
