Have a nice day! ɛ› Score: musescore.com/user/28825706/s... (Musescore’s video-creation function doesn’t work at the moment, hence the different layout.)
That's crazy cool I started of thinking "that's a funny sounding theme" but in the middle I was honestly just impressed of how creative and interesting it was. Congratulations ^^
@@averynhiell Thank you very much n.n I have been finding current composers of fugues so I can learn from them and ask them some questions that I still have doubts about. How did you learn to write fugues? I've been listening to Bach and other composers for years, and I've also tried to write, but in the end I feel like I'm still missing something. I have a series of canons in which I feel I have no problems (with the canon), however, it is with the fugue where I find problems and difficulty in getting a decent piece out. I have uploaded some to my channel recently, I don't know if you would like to take a look and give your opinion and advice to improve n.n
Cool rhythmic fugue subject! Liked the way the rhythm stumbles over itself between triplets and quadruplets in the beginning. Wished that idea could have been explored more toward the end as well, as a way of a rhythmic climax. Have to admit I'm not a fan of the tierce though. But that's just me, Bach does it all the time so why can't you.
Thanks a lot! (: Yeah, I seldom use triplets, so I wanted to experiment with them. I could certainly do more with them in the future. ^^ What exactly do you mean by “tierce”? The leaps of a third in the subject?
Thank you so much! Sure, as long as you indicate me as the original composer. (: I have to admit to some ignorance of the workings of a harpsichord: in what way would the score be different, apart from the lack of dynamic markings?
Cool! This one is fun to listen to! I thought you were nuts, to throw that tripletr in there, but once I saw how you were using it, I realized that it was really very effective, in making a slight "ritardando" in the middle of all those sixteenths. And the ending was neat, the waqy it sort of ground to a halt. Good work. Are there sheet-music renditions of your music available? I'd sort of like to sit down at a piano and try a couple of your fugues out for myself.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your comment! (= I uploaded some of my fugues on Musescore: musescore.com/my-scores But I stopped at some point. I think I’m going to continue. Perhaps I’ll upload this one tomorrow. (:
Thank you! ^^ No, AI was never involved at any point. I did experiment with asking ChatGPT to suggest a fugue subject and with the demo version of a program that can allegedly compose fugues if provided with a subject, but both were very disappointing. xD
@@Nico27901 I listened to the four pieces and I found them rather enjoyable. The harmonic and melodic language reminded me of Mozart. Some of them had a lot of repetition, perhaps you could work on introducing more variation. In some instances, you already demonstrated your ability to change a melody so that it sounds different but still recognisable. I think you have a lot of potential, way to go! (:
wow, mixes modern sounding melodies with well structured counterpoint, well done!
also, are you open to contact? i'd love to see you composing and have some opinions on my own works

This is a really nice fugue subject!
I also enjoy the parts where you briefly have a 3:2 polyrhythm
Thank you! ^^
Woah, I love the originality and the well established structure! keep it up
Thank you so much! (=
Not all fugues require rhythmic independence. Brilliant!
Thanks a lot! ^^
It makes me very happy that there are quite a lot of fugue enjoyers out there, keep up the good work!

Extraordinary! Keep composing! Love the subject and your uncanny exploitation of it!
Thank you so much! I love that you call it ‘uncanny exploitation’. xD
breathtaking fugue ! I was suspended to your notes from the first to the very last one !
Thank you so much! (=
this is absolutely incredible!! i don't know if i've ever heard a fugue that sounds this original while still being extremely enjoyable to listen to
Wow, thank you so much! That’s exactly what I want to achieve with my fugues. (=
I love everything about 0:38 to 0:50
Thank you! ^^
That's original AND good.

keep it up! Music needs to look at the past, but also to go forward.
Thank you! I agree. (:

Very good! Congratulations❤

Quantization takes lifes from everything. A live take would be appreciated!
I’m not a pianist, and I can’t really afford a professional. But I agree, it would be ideal.

Is it forbidden for a fugue to be groovy? Probably not😅 That one is so cool! Love it!❤
Thank you so much! I think a fugue can be anything, as long as it’s still counterpoint. ^^
