- Noteworthy features of this fugue:
→ doubly dotted eighth notes
→ there is an entry where both subject and countersubject are scattered about the different octaves at 1:56
→ the tail of the subject is written in counterpoint not only with the subject but also with the countersubject, which I take advantage of in the last entry in the stretti at 2:43
This fugue has four parts and is written for two players.
Inspiration: I have taken some inspiration from Gottlieb Muffat’s fugue in g-minor: • Gottlieb Muffat (1690-...
Have a nice day! ^‿^ - เพลง
Very underrated! I love the cool rythms and the fact that it's in g# minor, which is a pretty unusual key.
Thank you so much! I’ve already used all the other keys in minor, some even twice (except for g). ^‿^
Molto molto bella, per il ritmo la denominerei: consesso serale di grilli e rospi. Un brano a programma. Complimenti sinceri.😊😊me la sono salvata!!
@@sergiocattapan1192 Grazie mille! Mi piace molto questo nome. ^^
@@averynhielll'ho riascoltata e a me sembra "geniale" . Best wishes.😊
@@sergiocattapan1192 Molte, molte grazie!
Nice job. Very unusual subject, with the 32nd-double-dotted-eighth rhythms. IAt first I wondered what kind of countersubject would come with it, but sure enough, you had a good one. And your choice of key is interesting--but you stuck with it, and battled it out with all the double-sharps. Good for you!
Thank you so much! It sure was tough to find an appropriate countersubject, I’m glad it is appreciated. ^‿^
Another creative fugue. Sounds somewhat Mozartean with all the ornamentation, dotted rhythms, chromaticism and the tritones.
Thank you! I’m slowly moving up the eras. xD
You must have had a fit of laughter or hiccoughs when you wrote the fugue subject. I think it's original and funny at the same time! Good work!
Thank you! xD
Wow I love this so much! It reminds me of the third movement of Mahler's 6th symphony - such an interesting subject for a fugue!
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it! (=
I want you to know how much love and respect I have for your creativity and innovation in a style often plagued by people stunting themselves and others in an effort to be discount Bach's. We are not Bach, not one can be Bach, but you are Avery and Avery if offering everything that they are and will become to the style we all love. Sorry that was a bit dramatic haha!
Wow, thank you so much! This means a lot to me. 💜
I aspire to make Fugues as well crafted as these, these are so good 😭
Thanks a lot, and good luck! (=
Very creative!
Thank you! ^^
NO, Rameu's hens have rioted!
xD
Great work! Suggestion for readability: grace notes would be a much more elegant way to notate this. If this exact rhythm is decide, you can include a short note explaining how grace notes should be played for the piece!
Thank you! I wasn’t sure which way would be more readable, but it makes sense to use grace notes. ^^
Nice one! O.O
Thanks! ^^
This is cool
Thanks a lot! ^^

Wow! I love the subject. A very creative subject indeed. It must be very challenging to develop the countersubjects.
Thank you so much! (=
It was indeed not the easiest countersubject I’ve ever written. And the subject was already challenging enough to figure out. I’m glad you like it! ^^
I heard a great number of fugues, but yours are different from others (I mean other contemporary music composers).
For me, the works of others are often emasculated: made according to all the canons, but dead, while your works have a soul, which is very rare. (In my opinion, there is an unevenness in bars 28-29 - you are just a little bit short of a coherent statement of thought, like that of Bach, for example).
P. S. 1. I believe that you will succeed. 2. I believe the purpose of music is to make people happy. Rest assured: you have made one person happy!
Wow, thank you so much! (= Your comment made me very happy. And I’m so glad my music makes you happy. ^^
Yes, I see what you mean with the transition between bar 28 and 29. My intention was to have a gradual change from doubly dotted 8th notes to dotted 8th notes to normal 8th notes. It was very tricky and I think it could be improved. ^^
Interesting... It could be a development in a movement of a quartett or a two piano sonata...
Thank you! ^^
Raindrop fugue
Love it! ^^
finally some very entertaining contemporary fugues with a lot of personality.
99% of fugues here are so boring and manieristic.
good work let your inspiration fly and do not let studies prevail on your fresh istinct.
Thank you so much, this means a lot to me! (=
I do enjoy this demented subject! Not very nice, but very good. You have skill at melody! My ear didn’t know where to listen, which shows you’ve written a compelling fugue. Do you have any interest in composing dance music like in baroque suites? Fugues aren’t the only type of baroque music 🥹
Thank you! Interesting view to find the melody good, but not nice. I can see that, though. ^^
I somehow have very little interest in learning other things apart from fugues at the moment. There are a few inventions on my channel and some older pieces, which are not really baroque at all. But I have been absolutely fascinated by fugues for years and simply can’t stop writing them. xD
I love that you love fugues. I remember when fugues were my favorite, not too long ago. Then I listened to Rameau and my world changed… that’s just me though. Keep up the good work!
@@MasadaBaroque Thank you, I will check Rameau out! ^^
Bwv 535 inspiration?
No, I don’t think I knew this fugue until now. But I actually did have an inspiration, a fugue in g-minor by Gottlieb Muffat: th-cam.com/video/Bmd3Ud8gqpg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Mr3Gwe4Zl7m-pk-U
@@averynhiell i was saying that because bar 2 and 3 of your theme remind me that Bach's fugue :)
@@Alessio-tt6pp I see what you mean. (:
Premature cadence again. It might work with some edits. Trill very nice. A bit of dignity and air!
Thank you for the compliment! (:
You mean it’s a premature cadence when it modulates to v before the entry of the answer? Well, I think that’s subjective again.
