If you need 14 years from laying down the keel to sea trials for an aircraft carrier like this Indian one, which would normally require 3 to 4 years, better buy from overseas like the Russian old junk INS Viagramadickyah or whatever 😂😂😂😂

Even I would love to see few more. But then just be ready to pay higher fuel prices. It all costs money after all.
Congrats to India on having 2 carriers now this is a game changer for the region. Even though SSN/SSBNs are arguably more powerful in this day and age you can't deny the power projection capability capitol surface ships have. India should build a couple more of these in the Vikrant/Vikramaditika class. 4 would be a force to be reckoned with those MIG29s on board. I'm sure Russia would give India a great deal on new built 29Ks.
India is directly moving to bigger 65,000 tons CATOBAR designs.
Meanwhile India also has some 6 SSBNs under construction and 6 SSNs under design stage.
@@rohitb5834 When I see it I'll believe it. We can't even get our Ford class carrier ready and it was commissioned in 4.5 years ago. There's nothing wrong with steam and it's proven and works and would be a lot cheaper for India. India needs affordable solutions especially being a developing country with a large disparity between rich and poor. That money could be better used for infrastructure and raising living standards. The US will be there to help India with defense, considers it an important partner in the coalition we're building against communist China.

She's a beautiful piece of exquisite machinery.
It's a neat, medium sized ski-jump carrier. But although it is a medium sized carrier, this will probably be the most heavily armed aircraft carrier, IF it is gonna be armed the way it is planned to be with 64 x Barak-8 SAM VLS, 4 x 76 mm dp guns & 4 x AK630 CIWS guns! If armed this way, this will literally be a battle-carrier with firepower that's equal to or greater than many frigates & destroyers..
