You know whats even more fascinating. The fact that we the tiny invisible speck can understand and be aware of the infinity vastness of the big never ending universe.
Then again we may very well be quite wrong. In the grand scheme of things we haven't been studying the vastness, infinite, incredible space long at all. They're still not even sure if the Big Bang even actually happened.
By no means am I knocking the people that study all this, it's just that space/universe is soo grand and always throwing curve balls. But damn is it interesting!

How do we know how far the universe goes . We can barely see are own galaxy. One thing for sure we are not alone in this universe.

Sometimes when I feel down I think of this vastness and somehow brings me comfort.
I traveled beyond our universe and found it very small in comparison to the giant being made out of stars who was making universe cubes. These cubes are small enough to move down its arm, our cube is in its hand.

Good question I have my own theory too. Infinite big! It is just room to fit stuff in. The universe is nothing else than a room, except it has no wall and goes on forever. It is about what is in space... stars, energy, galaxies with stars, planets, etc, and of course the 4 forces in the universe. Space does not expand, it is not a balloon. What is in space got away from what was in '' beginning'' when quantum matter got fluctuated to expand. By the way the first element what was produced was hydrogen and from that due to forces and energy all the other elements came out of it. In a nutshell

The size of the universe is both amazing and terrifying. It’s difficult to wrap your head around as a lay person to these types of videos. It just goes to show how insignificant we are and how trivial our day to day life can be.

It's funny to see this. I'm a temp office worker, and to be honest, I'm too old to give much of a shit anymore. A couple of weeks back, I had a gig at a publisher for scientific magazines. My boss, from the very first moment, didn't like me. She didn't like my Pink Floyd T-shirt or the way I worked. But I got the job done, and they needed me. Still, it drove her crazy, and she would approach me every day with a very fake friendliness, saying, "You do a great job, despite your chaotic work style."
I didn't react at first. As I said, I don't give a shit. But one day, I had it, and with a big smile, I told her, "Out of the chaos, stars are born." I could as well have told her to go f*ck herself, and she knew it. But times are good for Temps right now. Lots of work, and a personal shortage. So she gasped, turned around, and didn't annoy me again. 😂

Just imagine picking up a handful of sand, then imagine there being an entire galaxy with trillions of stars in it for every single grain of sand. And around every single star there could possibly be plants that may contain other forms of life. With thst being said, theres no possible way we can be the only life forms when there are countless other possibilities of potential life.
There's probably other life forms out there but the thing is, humanity will most likely never see one oof them just like they will never see us since the distance is way too big
Someone had to be first. Maybe there’s no life out there. Yet.
What if it's not exactly life per se but a whole other phenomenon that we can't even wrap our heads around? Like different laws of physics and time and consciousness

The idea that this universe emerged coincidentally seemed unconvincing. What was there before this universe, before big bang, etc. There's something far beyond this universe, something that don't have shape, color, sound, just 'nothing'. And I'm beginning to believe the existence of God. I think the idea that everything has a beginning only exists in this material world. We thought that everything has a beginning because that's the law(science) that governs this material phenomena and we mere humans just play by the rules just as we feel emotions etc.. Human minds can't possibly know everything that's why there's the ONE and that's how He is superior and He has no beginning nor ending.
That's why I like to read Science Fiction. Fiction, true, but written by those with open minds and great imagination.

Humans have evolved transportation (locomotion) from ground (2D) to air (3D). Space travel will require manipulation of a dimension above 3D in order to cover distances that cannot be done by 3D locomotion. Scientific theories have provided ways to do that but we are yet to come to a practical application of actually learning how to do it.

People say space-time is flat. Hard to understand that. But consider the Earth and how we used to think it was flat because we could only see a small part of it with our eyes. If the universe seems to be flat is it because we can only see a small proportion of it, meaning the real size is unimaginably massive. Mind-blowing :)
We can MEASURE it, and it is flat to within 1-in-400 today (meaning it was flat to within 1-in-10^62 at the Big Bang - so my money is that it IS flat, i.e. infinite).

Spacetime is not flat. When cosmologists say it’s flat they refer only to the 3 dimensional space section of the 4 dimensional spacetime. As a whole, the 4D spacetime has curvature (technically speaking: the Riemann curvature tensor of the FRW metric has non-zero components)

Yes that’s where you really have to really think about this. What kind of connectivity are they really using?? We tend to believe words and videos like this that makes you scratch ur head about facts and theories. How can they transmit pic images if they are billions of miles away from Eartj but we struggle to connect stuff in our earth!!!

I’m not sure the word “humbling” is quite an accurate description of earth’s place in the cosmos. To begin with, that black void you mention is really not a void, but dark matter and dark energy. This makes up 95 percent of the observable universe. All the stars, planets, and galaxies, etc. make up barely 5 percent of the rest. If it weren’t for this exotic black matter, the galaxies would tear themselves apart. It is like a “glue” that holds atoms, molecules, etc. together. We are so special in this universe because atoms are actually a rare occurrence. What is the dark stuff? No astrophysicist knows, but this “Universal Design” makes me feel quite special!

I love the expression “the observable universe.” Which means that all this space is accessible to the human conscience and mind. I always thought I was crazy because i felt like i knew something I shouldn't. What i remember is my earliest memory, which was observing myself zooming through space. So fast that it would cause any living human to blackout from the overload and shock it creates on the consciousness when trying to upload to the brain, so incredible because the journey is incomprehensible and the impact upon reaching destination makes it seem like such a waste. I always thought I wasn't the only one with this kind of memory but until i started hearing people share what their most recent memory was, the furthest I heard of was past lives... I never found the words to comprehend this absurd memory I have until, adulthood. I don't even know how it is I can remember, in Motion by a millisecond that has traumatizing end and still somehow remember it like it's supposed to be important. To get a better idea, just watch a video of a telescope zooming into earth but instantaneously. Make sure you don't stop above the planet, zoom it directly into the crust until all you see it darkness.
