He's not the first fighter to ever do that. I agree that there is too much stalling in MMA, particularly on the ground. GSP is the perfect example. If you aren't actively working for the submission or trying to effectively pound your opponent, you are stalling. Controlling the position on the ground without any offense is self-defense. There is nothing wrong with self-defense, especially on the street. Maybe you want your attacker to tire so you can leave safely. That is a different scenario from a professional fight though. The fans paid to see a fight.

Yeah I spoke to Frank today, he said he threw in the fight, his ribs were jacked up (broken) before comin in to the fight. he didnt want to back out and he wanted to follow though.
