Interviewer seems chill without any agenda, so Nick seems to be more comfortable in this interview. Nick is very fluent and speaks a lot. Really good interview.
You ain't working out hard if you're hitting on your friends. And if that's your friends, then you ain't friends. And if you ain't friends, you ain't hangin out. And if you ain't hangin out, you ain't livin the life. And if you ain't living the life of MMA, then good luck, because I am. And if you gonna fight me, you're in trouble.
Greatest Nick Diaz quote ever 6:00 "I figure they want to see me win then they are going to see me win in a real , you know... umm fashionable style , I guess... if you will... or... you know like you're going to see what you always see"
"there's no camp!! there are no tents!!!" lmao. and the interviewer was great, he did the right thing; asked really vague questions and let Nick talk! dat interview was very funny!
@Ihab23 What Nick Diaz meant was this. If you train at a high level, then there are always risks (injuries) and to train with friends or family(brother), then that injury is either you or the other person. If that person is hurt, then obviously you will not feel good about that. One of the worse is that the person has to pull out of a fight due to injury you inflicted, because that is not positive to a relationship. Hence, the life of a MMA fighter. To enjoy doing all that is not easy.
Good interview, I like Nick's determination it's seems real. So many fighters have fake "win or die" attitude before fight interviews and spew their fake lines while tumbling upon their words. Diaz is the real deal.
The money is just not worth it in MMA. Diaz you mentioned you wanted to take a Boxing Match at super middle weight. At 27 you are in your prime. Go where the money's at. I will pay to see you against Carl Froch.
Nick's a real nut job but I'm a big fan of his. Diaz puts on some of the best fights and the only time he loses is when someone stalls him out and holds onto position. War Diaz!
To add, fighters get pulled from a fight very often as can be seen, like recent UFC events, due to injury. Well, these injuries came from training hard for an upcoming fight. They may happen on there own (self inflicted), but a lot of the times come from the training partner, because when training hard, the intensity may be about 80-100% intensity. The fighter sometimes shrugs off small injuries to hide them so the partner wont feel bad. The end may be a poor performance or a failed medical.
He's always saying ham bf asking a question, like he thinks about ham first & then he gets that glossy eyed far away look. I guess he really likes ham.
@Ihab23 lol hes saying that guys call theyre sparring partners in their camp "friends" when they really cant be if theyre going 100% on eachother and hes saying that you should be friends and chillin together if your in a camp together. i speak fluent nick diaz :)
@thetaxlienspecialist Did you see cyborg vs Diaz ? Who was destroying his opponent at the beginning ? Why diaz was starting to get the advantage at the end of the fist round ? Answer those question and normaly you should understand why Diaz got no chance against GSP. From that point I would even say that GSP would make him like a fool in that octogon ...
@Ihab23 That shit was great! I'm still trying to figure it out,LOL! I think he threw spit on people last night after the fight as he took out his mouth peice. Then u could see him call someone a bitch through the fence.. Nic Diaz!!
lol this interview's funny. he's letting nick finish his piece which is good though. about those rematch things about lawler etc.. i agree with nick simply because i want to see nick fight different guys anyways. even lawler showed disinterest in the fight on top of that. if noons beats a couple guys or one spectacular win, and gets into title contention, then he should get another shot at nick's belt though, for sure. if he is still champ at that point. ps. heavyweight tournament fuck ya!!
many people think nick is stupid. i disagree with this, and think he made many valid points in this interview. i think what makes nick come off as stupid sometimes is that he does not have great speech skills. in other words he sometimes has difficulty turning his ideas into words. i have the same problem somtimes especially when talking to people i don't know let alone an interview that will be on tv.
Wasnt expecting Nick to admit hes scared to fight past opponents. Its 1 thing to think you finished that chapter & you want to move on. Its a another thing when you say you just dont want to fight a dangerous opponent again. I think he did duck Mayhem out of fear now
He didn’t say he was scared he said he didn’t want to fight them again because even if he wins he’s going to get punched in the head still by guys with real power like lawyer and that’s not good for the brain
My Translation of 2:37. There is no career and dedication of life and youth and amount of pay that is worth hitting your friends in the mouth to succeed.
"That's the problem what MMA don't understand. You cant just spar, you aint working out hard if your hittin on your friends. and if thats your friends then you aint friends. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. WTF does he mean. Its awesome
@mucho I don't think mayhem has the power of kj or Robbie,I believe that's what nick was talking about not taking old fights with guys with one punch can take time out your mma career,if he beat them once time to move on .and he said that ones that r more tech than powerful he thinks r better.he is scared of mayhem power nobody is
"i dont know why they call it a camp theres no camp ground theres no tents" LMFAO this guy is great!
I thought that was hilarious. And I think hes serious lol.
First time I seen this. Your comment was twelve years ago.🤣
This interview gave me a better respect for Nick.

He is much more mentally sharp in this interview - you can see also he's very confident.
Wonder what made him change

Are you still alive??
Yo
You ain't working out hard if you're hitting on your friends.
And if that's your friends, then you ain't friends.

Lol, you don't really need a verbose interviewer for Nick Diaz. You just ask him a simple question, and off he goes.
HAMMM . . .
"can i ask you about your opponent? hammmm"
"tahts why you know we dont let anybody fight out of our you know we dont recruit"
I ❤️this dude.. ✌️😎@NickDiaz209

Man, this reporter asking stupid questions & not even paying attn to the answers
Nick seriously needs to work on interview technique, if he fought like he interviews he woud have no wins on his record. he just looks disinterested.
