Thankyou glad it helped you. Funnily enough Kampas/Dometics uk offices are quite local to me.

Much better video than those done by dealers and now know how to set it up.

Hi Dave it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife at Furze Farm, due to this vlog and seeing your canopy there we have purchased a Dometic 400 all seasons air canopy. We will be using it in a couple off weeks at Greenacres toring Park it Carlise. I'll post a few photos of it if you want.

Excellent video as usual. We have started to slide our awning from the rear of the caravan, as we once managed to knock off the light unit near the front of the caravan.
Would you recommend the Kampa awning pulley?

Thanks glad you liked it. Yes I’d definitely recommend the awning pulley (I should probably do a review of it actually). We haven’t used it to pull from the front but it comes with stoppers that you can lock into the awning rail so should work no problem that way around. You may actually find the puller essential if you are trying to attach the awning that way around.

Really helpful video - we’re aiming for 6 weeks in Europe next week and I’m struggling with an awning as the only one I really like is Isabella which of course has the biggest cost.
Did you find using this did work as good as an awning or did the open section take away from full usage ?

Glad you liked it and found it useful. We mainly use it for Summer short stays of four nights or less though we did also use it on our last trip in late October. During the summer it’s probably as good if not better than a full awning since you can use the shade that it casts that would normally be where the walls are (if that makes sense). The main reason we put a full awning up on longer stays is for storage and some notional security for keeping low value items outside. During the winter it’s just quicker and more convenient to put up and down if it’s wet and gives a decent amount of rain cover during when entering or exiting the vehicle.
To be honest we haven’t used the side panels other than for the video, nothing wrong with them we just didn’t ever feel the need to put them up. But they would give a little more privacy and wind protection. One quick word of warning our friends have just bought one and found they were in short supply, they ended up going for the larger 5m one as the 4m was scarce.

@@DTSquared good to know, we only have a 4m rail so time to get ordering. Valentines has taken a new twist 👍

What came in the back ? Pump ? Pegs ? Storm straps ?

Everything shown in the layout in the video at 37seconds is included. So basically everything you need apart from the mallet.
