      Thank you, I am really glad it was of help to you, Lol, very rarely does Claire assist with the awning until its up and she puts up the curtains. :-)

    We love ours and will never ever go back to a full awning these are so easy to put up and since my disability this was a life safer. We use a carpet and draft strip at the back. We keep our dog pen and two chairs in there very easily. My advice to anyone thinking of on BUY IT.
    One bit of advice change the plastic peg peace’s to the small bungee cord type make it much easier.

      Hi James, thanks for watching and commenting, agree a great bit of kit, I am thinking about maybe swapping it out for the All Season version which is a bit more hard wearing, Will make it a bit heavier, but should be able to still use it rather than an awing. I still have the main awning and do like to use that for the longer trips away. Happy Camping James

    What a great awning. We have been looking for months for a quick solution for long weekend and this looks ideal 👌

      Hi Paul. Yes it is great. If I was to buy again I would pay the bit extra and go for the All Seasin version. A bit tougher better material and all the straps are Gray rather than the Bright Yellow. Thanks for commenting and stay safe James 😀

    Hi Paul. Over many years of Caravaning. We eventually hated awnings. Norfolk our favourite destination can be very windy and you end up in the middle of the night having to take it down or trying to remove it after flipping over the top of the caravan. Didn't seem to improve things even with wide extra straps. Metal pole version damage caravans but advantage of blow ups generally safer and prevent damage. Hower flying picnic camper chairs have to put back in Van's. Wet awnings was another problem when packing up and drying them when back home. My parents Caravan was destroyed by an awning blowing over roof and tin opened the roof. The campsite in question is WoodHill Park Campsite Cromer. Over 40 years of holidaying there I've seen many damaged Van's, tents and on one occasion a lighting strike a carbon fibre tall pole flag people put up on their vans. Lady went to hospital but was ok. As our boys are grown and we dont have Dogs we moved onto small motorhome with wind out canopy. But still end up rolling it in when windy. Cheers from old George and Jane.

      Hi George and Jane, thanks for watching and caeavaning. You sure have seem some of the issues with awnings there. Thankfully we haven't had anything major. Our biggest issues has been drying it out when it's wet. Thanks for watching and Hapoy Motorhoming. Take Care. James

    Hi James, we're picking up a Sunncamp canopy next week for weekends, or when we don't want the awning up. It's not an air one , but it will look the part hopefully! Cheers....

    Hi Paul, we’re still considering an air canopy, we like the Kampa version, but we think having a window on the sides may allow a lot of sunshine into the enclosure generating heat. Are you able to attach curtains to the sides in the same manner as with a Kampa awning? Cheers from John & Al.

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John & Al. The sides are only really there to stop draughts etc to act a bit like a wind break. You can't attach curtains. The sun would need to be quite low to let lots of direct sunshine in, we have found it great and offers lots of shade. Hope that helps. James

    Good video thanks. I have just ordered the 500 version no sides as I have lost patience with the faff of putting up full awnings. You seemed to be using some kind of bungee pegs on the storm straps any more detail on those pls?

      Hi. Glad the Vlog was usefull. I still do like a full awning for longer breaks but this is great and easy to put up for those weekend getaways. The bungie things come as part of the Kampa / Dometic storm Straps. Not expensive and you get adjustable strap, Bungie and Crucifix peg. I will put an Amazon Link below. Hi Paul. I do wonder how stable they will be in the wind. I guess like a roll out canopy you just take t down?

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Keith, I think the best option would be if the winds were strong to take it down. I suspect it will be more stable than a poled or wind out canopy based it has more flex and if the worst did happen less likely to cause damage. However I would agree that if the winds are going to be strong best course of action is to take it down.
