There are many videos to assist you putting together your Costco Gazebo , but I could not find any that were anchored without a slab or pavers. Here is one way to anchor to the ground.
I bought the same gazebo. I love your solution rather than pouring concrete for all four posts. I live in the White Mountains in Eastern Arizona. Where I live we get 60-70 mile an hour gusts on a regular basis. I do have a question though. If the posts are flat on the bottom, how do you get them to sit flat on the metal with that giant nut and screw sticking up? Am I missing something here?
May we ask what State you're located in? How've you been experiencing with the high wind? How does the Gazebo hold up with that anchor??? We're thinking to do the way as what you did, but we're not sure if it's a good idea because we're Colorado & it's kinda really high windy here. Please let us know! Thank you very much!
I am in Bonney Lake , Washington. The location gets more wind than the lower lands> Then anchor works great , the wind does not affect the gazebo at all.
frost weaving should not be a problem if the helical screw pile goes 40+ inches down. you do need to properly brace your posts for side to side forces (like wind) as these alone won't be much help. they will be strong with up-down forces.
Thanks. I found the answers to all my additional questions in the comments. This video was exactly what I needed to see.
So helpful! Exactly what I am trying to do with my pergola into grass / dirt. This is perfect. You're the man!
Someone get this man a beer.
Thank you for this video. You answered my questions in the video. I have dirt not a concrete slab.

How can i check if i need the 4x4 or 6x6 deck anchor for my gazebo?
the size of your post determine what size plate you need
Where did you get those anchors?
online, but they are sold at Lowes and other hardware stores
Hello, is this the 4x4 anchor, or the 6x6 anchor?
4x4 , but either would work
