      Well he had been kidnapped by a rival family. As long as he was alive and in there hold, they ruled castile. If fact they hid the fact of his death. She sent knights to steal her brothers body back to prove his death and some to retrieve her son from Leon.
      To me it's just one of those unfortunate and odd deaths. After I did some research, it seems legit.

      The reason why she isn’t referred as Jane the first is because a monarch isn’t really truly the sovereign until they had the coronation and if they don’t have the coronation then they aren’t really considered an official monarch

    • @neilbuckley1613

      @@roidetesreves2298 In that case King Edward V, one of the Princes in the Tower should not be an official monarch as he was never crowned, but he is included in all the official lists. In contrast Prince Louis of France was crowned at Westminster Abbey in 1216 but is not included in the official list.

    • @katwernery6505
      @katwernery6505 4 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      I think there are two reasons she doesn’t generally appear in list if British monarchs.
      One, it is generally believed that her Ascension to the throne was a coup, and a failed one, against the rightful secession.
      Two, she was disliked by the people. Remember that the people of England didn’t even know who she was and were anticipating Mary, the daughter of the beloved Queen Catherine of Aragon. Catherine had been an incredibly popular Queen by the people, she even lead to English to victory over a Scottish attack while Henry was playing war in France. So regardless of religion the vast majority wanted Mary on the throne, not a woman they had never heard of until her Ascension to the throne. The only support Jane had was from protestant nobility.

      i dont think he died of excessive sex at all. this talk about sex is harmful to health is an ancient belief in east asia. most of us asians are no longer even aware of it, but people in deep rural china still believe it though. I mighty think the emperor was killed by his father's favorite woman.

      Not because of excessive sex, but most likely because of drug overdose. Emperor of this time period often use drug to enchance their ability. This is probably why he was first given laxative to induce diarrhea, to get rid of the posion in his body.

Sometimes i look across the highway from my window and dream of returning to my homeland. My good friends, Fat Napoleon, Asian Napoleon and Black Napoleon, have agreed to put together an army and retake Wing C of the Eisenhower Building and give it to me in exchange for Ghent and parts of Flanders, our ministers are drafting the treaty as we speak at my summer residence: Room 436 of Wing B, wish us luck!

    You got it wrong. Mary did not have Jane executed because of a plot that threatened Philip. Jane was executed because while in prison she was advocating her position and rebellion against Mary. Mary may be the bloody queen but Jane has a hand in her own demise.
    The image of the poor little puppet is actually not accurate. Although that’s what they wanted her to be she proved in those nine days that she was not going to be pushed around. To start with she refused to have her husband crowned king, he was going to be her consort and nothing else. She was ready to die for her religion as well. While she is a sympathetic figure she is not the pitiful one that is always presented.
