Damn I’m impressed on how clean you played this song. You can tell the difference in your drumming, compared to your previous videos. The way you played it, you can just tell it can only come from years of touring and playing this song I’m just gonna say it “ over here with the drum head. I’m interested on that drum head”
Around 2002 I was a full blown junkie dodging HIV and overdoses ,this song absolutely was in my CD player on repeat giving me strength to try to not get AIDS or die from an overdose ,after several close calls I dodged both of them ,ending up in a psych ward at the end of 2003 after committing a felony . You have no idea how important this song was to me at that time in my life, and frankly it’s the gift that keeps giving ,I’m sober now and a yoga teacher to teens in psych wards and adults in jail and I can’t wait to play Sum 41 in my classes!
Don't throw away this drum head! It's a piece of history. It was last used on April 9th 2013, in Kingston Ontario. You guys were touring with Billy Talent. I was there on stage for that show. Never crossed my mind it would be the last time I would see you play with the sums ;)
How the absolute hell do you only have 35k subs? You were in one of the most iconic bands of the last 25 years and we all wondered how you've been and what you've been up to. So good to see you making videos on here about your time in Sum.
Well.. I did kind of fall of the face of the earth for about ten years 😂I only started the youtube about 3 months ago! ... I'm happy to have any! Thanks for checking out the channel!
Dude! I loved Sum 41 20 years ago and then moved on to other stuff and forgot all about them. Your YT channel was randomly recommended recently and it's been a BLAST! I ended up checking if Sum 41 still tour and what are the odds, farewell tour went on sale yesterday. Grabbed a couple tickets. Sorry to see you aren't involved anymore but glad you're happy and rocking it! Cheers
As a drummer that went through my late teens when this album came out I can't explain how much I love these videos. I had this CD on permanent repeat in my first car. This is the best sort of nostalgia.
I’ve always thought you were 1 of the best personalities and coolest members of the band and never felt like it was the same without you. I still love all that old stuff and can say you all were 1 of the bands that got me into punk music really heavy. I remember being a middle school kid and watching the fat lip music video on tv all the time and being like this is so cool. Still probably 1 of my favorite music videos of all time. Love the channel man and all the stuff you’ve been doing!
sum 41 is a band that had such a massive inspiration on me and my cousin, i remember re-recording the hell song video with him with our own action figures and showing our parents our masterpiece haha
Another banger video. Stevo you should react to some clips from the old Sum 41 Introduction to Destruction DVD from 2002. When you guys are messing around in your hometown, water gun drive-bys, dancing in the parking lot, etc. Those clips already have the band providing commentary so it would be sorta meta or hat on a hat, but why not.
One of my favourite songs and videos by Sum 41 “hells yeah, everybody’s gonna be there” is a phrase I have never stopped saying since this videos release! And give away the drum head!! You were a huge influence in my drumming when I was a kid.
This album is one of those gems that got me through a lot of stuff growing up. All Killer is amazing, but THIS one helped me figure out all the different awkward feelings as a teenager in the early 2000's. Still listening to the band to this day as well. Thank you for being part of a band and an album that means so much to me Stevo!!!
STEVO can you show Thanks For Nothing some love? That song has some great fills and double kick and is one of the rare songs with you doing vocals. I'm very happy you're gracing us with your precence on TH-cam, I've loved your drumming since I was a kid and have missed having you around!
You’ve got to think that Deryck has watched this and is thinking…”we’ve got to bring Stevo back for one more show.” Toronto? Maybe a practice show at Pioneertown?
Steve, you’re an absolute hero and legend to me. You were my favorite member of Sum by far and it never felt the same without you. So happy to see you enjoying playing. All the best to your family!
I love you Stevo you are an inspiration to all drummers. Would you ever do a video walking us through your kits? Showing us what drum heads, cymbals etc you use. Would really help us drummers understand your tones 👍. All the best from Scotland 🏴
This will always be my favorite Sum 41 song. As a kid raised on classic rock, I was always looking for new music with guitar solos, and this song had everything I wanted! Thanks for the memories Stevo!
Thank you for this channel, you’re the whole reason I got into playing drums when I was 10. And a big thank your giving being a part of giving the world chuck. Which is my favourite album of all time. Would love to see you play “ I’m not the one” One love brother! ❤

I love these videos, I feel very nostalgic for the time when you were part of Sum 41. I hope you can play Walking Disaster one day, it is my favorite song and I love the rhythm you make in the first part of the song. Greetings from Spain Stevo!! ❤
I was 7 years old when I discovered Sum 41. I started playing the drums thanks to you. I learned English to understand what the band was about because I had no clue what the lyrics meant. I've only listener to DTLI? and Chuck because those were the only CD of Sum 41 I had. You changed my life and many others man. Thanks for everything you inspired me to do
So happy to hear you talk about hell song. It was one of my favorites and its the reason i found out about sum41 through the naruto amv using the same song
Jeebus, i had to watch you play the bit over the solo a few times. Drums complementing the accents on the solo. Besides being WAY cooler than everyone, you are also INSANELY good at playing drums. This should be obvious, but your cross to bear is that your incredible musical talent is overshadowed my your even more incredible personality.
I read it before in the comments and have to say the same thing: You and Sum 41 are the reason I started playing drums and guitar. If I win this drumhead, it's going to hang on my shrine wall in my home studio next to pirate swords and Thors hammer! Thank you so, so much for coming back to the public Stevo. I wondered a lot what you're doin and how you are. THANK YOU! HAWK TUAH!
Such a big Sum 41 fan, and I just bought a drum kit literally a few days before your first video and watching you play is inspiring! It's pretty badass to see how happy you are playing drums even if it's in your basement. That's what life is all about 🤘
Dude!.. That snarehead whould sure be nice! When i first heard still waiting(i was young) i knew i wanted to be a rock/metal drummer. Have had 3 europe tours 2 albums in the states etc. Thanks for showing me the way 🤘
legit one of the first sum 41 songs I ever heard and it blew my mind. I immediately got the album from my library and ripped the whole thing onto my mp3 player. am now currently learning to play the bass part. still so dope
You guys were my first ever gig when I was in Primary 6 over here in the UK for the All Killer tour. Sum 41 is the main reason I'm into Rock and Metal still today
This is one of my favourite songs of all time. I am also a drummer, and I always love playing this song! I was 14 when this album came out, and this was the first music CD I ever bought.
seeing the genuine happiness on your face whilst watching the old Sum videos is so wholesome 🥰 still rocking on the kit as well, keep these videos coming🤘🏼❤️
I’ve always loved sum 41; always in my top 5 favorite bands. Watching all these videos you’ve been posting. I forgot how humorous, carefree, and charismatic you always were. So cool to see you rocking out and happy and watching you play along with the songs with camera on the drums made me appreciate the skill and passion you brought to the songs even more than I already did before! Keep posting more videos! And don’t throw away the drum head! Haha
Loving the content stevo. Growing up you were always one of my favorite drummers to watch because your facial expressions were so animated. It’s cool to see you finding your love of drumming again.
I absolutely loved that video when I was younger and still do! It’s lika a wild South Park episode with all the cameos, also so many good memories are attached to that song!
Hi from France ! This is the first song I've heard of SUM41 I was 11 back then and still my favourite song. Does this look infected is my favorite album and definitely in my top ten. 2 days ago i've been to my first SUM 41 show that bring me back to my teenage years. I Know you're not in the band anymore but thank you for all your work on SUM 41. Continue your videos they're great !
When I first heard the hawk tuah thing I immediately thought of this song!! It’s so good seeing you play drums again and just vibing and being happy. I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels this way, but a give away for sure!!!
I remember watching the Fuse TV series called "Loaded" back in the day. It was just 30 minute blocks of music videos by one particular artist. When this video came up during the Sum 41 episode - my brother, mom, and I were absolutely transfixed by it. Truly a testament to simplicity sometimes being better than flashy garbage.
Hey Stevo, I'm so happy to see you on TH-cam. Sum 41 was the first band that I truly loved, you guys are the reason I started my musical journey. I'll always appreciate that. The antics in music videos like this helped me break out of shyness and start to be a jokester
Stevo, so pleased you're out there doing these vids. You seem like a really nice guy, modest and fun. So much admiration for you for making the band choice you did, keep up this channel, for Sum 41 and more importantly yourself. Thanks, from Ian in the UK.
This Channel is legit the best thing, sum 41 was one of the many bands that was the staple of my pre double digit years 🤘🏻love hearing the meaning behind some of my all time favorite songs
The opening riff on this song still gives me a shiver up my spine to this day. I gotta say, it blows my mind how you can just jump back into these songs having not played them for ten years or even more in some cases, and you still fuckign rip it! Its a real blast to watch your videos (and derycks stories on hos channel too) please keep making them!
so glad you started this TH-cam channel. its refreshing to see you with that same sparkle in your eye as back in the day and to learn that you quit the band for very noble reasons. you've aged beautifully my friend! just a thought but it would be awesome to hear you drum to a version of the song with the drums stripped out so we can just heard what you're doing. I know it would be more work for your crew but I think it would add to that portion of the video. either way, its fascinating to see you kill it so hard playing to songs you haven't heard in over a decade. a true talent and shining soul. you often stole the show with your sense of humor and impeccable badassery on the drums. best wishes to you and your family! oh yeah, I think there's millions of people (including myself) who would cherish that drum head if it came into their possession.
This channel has been amazing. I grew up in southern ontario so you guys were a huge influence on me as a teen, I play ska as a middle 30 something now, but your style has always been one my favorites for the pop punk genre.
Also this album is what got me into playing fast paced drums!!! I’m 26 now and it still hits the same! Thanks for keeping this stuff alive and taking us back down memory lane with you!! I’d love that drumhead I’ll frame it!!
I love to watch these with my guitar in hand, and play along with you in the Play Through section. Brings be the capital F back! I'm not crying after the Play Through, you are!
You have always been addictively entertaining! I'll never forget gathering after school with my friends after one of them got the Does This Look Infected with the bonus DVD. We were dying of laughter the whole time! Thank you so much for this channel 🙏
having a piece of history like that would be AMAZING, was never able to go to shows growing up cause of where we lived so being able to own something like that would make it well worth it
Hoping we get a video about “still waiting” soon just to see your thoughts about the bit at the beginning with the record label executive, still cracks me up every time I see it!
Hey, Stevo! So glad to see you still playing drums and having fun. So many great memories from my youth related with Sum 41. The idea for your next videos: tell us about how you decided to be a drummer, who were (and still are) your inspiration, how you joined Sum 41.
So rad to see you connecting with the music in a nostalgic way. I can really feel your enthusiasm and passion igniting as you look back and revisit these tunes.
Dude thank you. Every video is so uplifting and impossible not to feel your free spirited fun. Its cliche but thank you, feels good to laugh and just forget about crap

I love these videos, I feel very nostalgic for the time when you were part of Sum 41. I hope you can play Walking Disaster one day, it is my favorite song and I love the rhythm you make in the first part of the song. Greetings from Spain Stevo!! ❤
I will get to underclass heroes songs and walking disaster for sure at some point thank you!

Such great videos, it's awesome to hear the stories behind the music and watch you nail the songs one by one. Can't wait to see more! 🤘
Thanks!
Thanks for everything you inspired me to do
Man, being from Toronto, seeing this video on Much as a middle school kid... yeah, this takes me back
So happy to hear you talk about hell song. It was one of my favorites and its the reason i found out about sum41 through the naruto amv using the same song
I bought this album when I was 8! you guys became such a big part of my life ever since ❤️
That's coo! l - thank you!
Jeebus, i had to watch you play the bit over the solo a few times. Drums complementing the accents on the solo. Besides being WAY cooler than everyone, you are also INSANELY good at playing drums.
This should be obvious, but your cross to bear is that your incredible musical talent is overshadowed my your even more incredible personality.
hey man - that's cool of you to say! Thanks !
@@stevo32drums omg omgomg!!!!!
THANK YOU! HAWK TUAH!
Man i had an physical emotional reaction to this video. Stevo, you shaped so so much man
Such a big Sum 41 fan, and I just bought a drum kit literally a few days before your first video and watching you play is inspiring! It's pretty badass to see how happy you are playing drums even if it's in your basement. That's what life is all about 🤘
If you're not happy playing in your basement you won't be happy playing in an arena !
My favourite record too! I remember my dad buying it for me when I was 11. Still listen to songs from it everyday!
Dude!.. That snarehead whould sure be nice! When i first heard still waiting(i was young) i knew i wanted to be a rock/metal drummer. Have had 3 europe tours 2 albums in the states etc. Thanks for showing me the way 🤘
I've been learning this one recently and this video helps so much. Hell yeah
legit one of the first sum 41 songs I ever heard and it blew my mind.
It's so badass to get to watch you play some of my favorites from when I was younger
thanks for watching!
My all time favorite Sum 41 song! Love the video and how simple it was and to this day it gives me a laugh🤘🤘😂
One of the all time greatest music videos in general
This is one of my all time favourites, can't believe it has such a serious story behind it, glad to hear your friend is doing well though.
So great to see you playing the stuff I grew up loving
can feel the joy stevo has playing drums again!
That's awesome! I'm glad we could help! Thanks man!
Stevo, so pleased you're out there doing these vids. You seem like a really nice guy, modest and fun. So much admiration for you for making the band choice you did, keep up this channel, for Sum 41 and more importantly yourself. Thanks, from Ian in the UK.
This Channel is legit the best thing, sum 41 was one of the many bands that was the staple of my pre double digit years 🤘🏻love hearing the meaning behind some of my all time favorite songs
thanks for watching!
RUST IN PEACCCEE!! Sounds great Steve O, hope the arm is feeling great. Appreciate the nostalgia
You have always been addictively entertaining! I'll never forget gathering after school with my friends after one of them got the Does This Look Infected with the bonus DVD. We were dying of laughter the whole time! Thank you so much for this channel 🙏
Fav album, fav song, fav drummer. Thanks for the video Stevo! Much appreciated
Thank yoU!
having a piece of history like that would be AMAZING, was never able to go to shows growing up cause of where we lived so being able to own something like that would make it well worth it
Hoping we get a video about “still waiting” soon just to see your thoughts about the bit at the beginning with the record label executive, still cracks me up every time I see it!
Love this. So cool watching this from this perspective ❤
Love Hell Song! Just hooked up the fancy Rock Band set the other day and went through it a few times!
Dude thank you. Every video is so uplifting and impossible not to feel your free spirited fun. Its cliche but thank you, feels good to laugh and just forget about crap
This song was the first sum41 i ever try to played on drums 2002 i was 18 yrs old 😆😆 brings back good memories steve...
By far my favorite video of Sum 41 !! Incredible guitar solo, powerful voice and demonic drums 😈
I think I can speak for most of us when I say
WE GENUINELY MISSED YOU DUDE you guys were a big part of my high school days ..we even covered into deep at a talent show once.
✌️
