Incredible Terrarium Wood Transformation into a Stunning Art Piece

- Woodturning this incredible terrarium wood into a one of kind wooden bowl with the help of some epoxy resin asmr. Before casting the wood into deep pour epoxy resin I cleaned the wood with some kutzall burr and my Dremel tool then cut to size to fit in the container. Then used chameleon mica powder to enhance the resin look and went into my pressure pot for few days to fully cure. During the woodturning process I also used my One Way coring system to save the inner core so that will be another small bowl later on. Sanded to high grit then polished and buffed for mirror gloss finish.

Put of the HUNDREDS of lathe operators I've watched over the years, you are THE FIRST one to use that special cut out tool that didn't waste all the material everyone else loses when gouging out the inside of the bowl.
Why hasn't anyone else figured that out like you have?

I have poured resin before, but what is the pressure pot for?
@@mnotten1 vacuum to remove all air bubbles trapped in resin . flame heat, vibration and vacuum pressure are all ways to eliminate bubbles
@@Dan_d00d thanks, I haven't done deep pours like yours, generally use a torch for my little pours.

I love the shimmering pigments you use in the resin. It's a gorgeous piece that displays the wood grains.

Don’t know anything about this hobby. What is the thing that looks like a pressure cooker? What does it do? Love watching your videos.
Thank you so much 😀 It is a pressure pot and helps with air bubbles. Due to positive pressure it squashes the bubbles to a size human eye cannot even see. Then the resin cures like that
