hello there. if you want it to stay longer, but you don’t want it to be cronchy from hair spray, try some saltwater, you can just put some salt in a spray bottle and let it dissolve :) edit: it’s also good to put a little bit of aloe vera in it so it’s not too drying (depending on your hair type)
The cool thing about being kinda mixed is that my hair does this on it's own naturally. 😂 But if I add water and let it air dry, it forms a cute crinkle/ slight curl to it. Cute as hell, but it stays plain brown because no dye I've used so far stays on my hair and I'm scared to bleach it. 🙃
Quick Blue Bleach powder(?) & 30 volume developer is a good way to bleach and stay safe follow the instructions on the bucket & then after you wash it out Cover your hair in conditioner & leave it for 45mins [Do this inbetween your bleaches to help protect it also let your hair rest a bit between bleaches as well] For bright/fantasy colors i recommend Good Dye Young semi-permanent hair dye its one i use personally Try to skip washing your hair for a day or 2 so that ways it lasts longer

I have the same problem too! I searched it up and turns out it's because our hair is too soft so it just lay flat down. Trying using a different shampoo could help since some shampoos are design to make our hair soft.
Like faith said your hair is too soft Sometimes it’s not cus of shampoo but conditioner tho I say try not using conditioner all the time but you can use shampoo to yk stay clean Also it would be easier if you have long hair

Bleach doesn't really make it fluffier as much as it fries your ends and creates a fluffy look. Bleach is incredibly damaging if you don't do it correctly. People with bleached and then dyed hair will usually have that fluffy look because their ends have been fried and split. It's obvious when people aren't taking the extra steps to maintain healthy bleached/dyed hair.
@@nosc132 Dyeing can have the same effect! The only difference is that permanent hair dye developers are made of hydrogen peroxide (different substance but just as damaging as bleach).
Here's your warning: as someone with naturally fluffy hair, don't do it if you want your hair anywhere past the bottom of your head, it's really really hard to control and gets everywhere 😭
I'm really happy about this trend, it's cool to see others actually trying to get poofy hair and appreciating it when I was so self conscious about mine for so long. Now my hair's a bit shorter to help it not snarl up, and I actually like how it looks a lot of the time!

Yea, but it won't stay in that nicely fluffy state for longer than 5 - 10 minutes, at least for me. I do it unintentionally because I think my hair dries faster doing it upside down, but now that you say it I can tell you that at least for me it goes away quickly.

I never knew people liked having fluffy hair. Some kids in my class used to make fun of my hair because it never stayed flat and said I should "just brush it for once in my life" when I already did. First step: Don't have curly hair Second step: Style your hair in a different more appropriate way for your hair type Third step: Be sad for a moment Forth step: Be happy for whoever that video helped EDIT: You can remplace "curly" hair with "kinky" hair (mine is 3C so if you can do this hairstyle with no problem because your hair is looser, it's completely cool for you. Also, curly hair is usually fluffy already, that's why on mine I wouldn't do this technic and would aim for a different hair style. For example, having more defined curls or looking looser).
Then you can comb your hair while dry so it dismantles the curls, use wide brush lest you become bald (or just your hands idk), I don't know if you would consider it fluffy but I would lol, for curly hair wetting just define the curls better

Even having really straight hair, mine poofs a lot when it dries, and my tip is (for short haired people) to not brush it or comb it, just use your fingers to untangle them. When its drying, shake your head a little, and mess it like she's doing in the video. If you want even more volume, bow down to make your head upside down and shake it like a headbanger and when you come back, just pass your fingers through it from the bottom to the top. It makes me look like a poodle, specially in days where my hair gets a little curly in the ends. But i love it and I'm happy you guys like it too.
If ur hair gets a little curly in the ends I don't think it's straight, I have dead straight hair and if I don't put product on it it does not get like this, ever. Sometimes I wake up and my hair somehow got styled nicely by my pillow during the night but it is still not fluffy it's just messy, my maximum hair volume without styling product is like the person in the video's hair when they're spraying it before they fluff it up
@@butasimpleidiotwizard it is really straight, but not light because my hairs are thick, heavy and a little dehydrated, so it gets shape if I play with it while its wet. Otherwise it will fall flat and i don't like it. My sister have dead straight hair and it's different because hers is really thin and light, so it doesn't have structure to get shape and is always flat. I guess there's different types of straight hair, mines just not shampoo ads quality straight.

Tips from someone with straight hair that helped for me naturally with out any products:(but if it doesnt work for you, it aint my fault) 1. Shorter hair=less weight that weights your hair down 2. Less shampoo while making sure you massage your scalp is well massage to avoid blocking the glands. Its okay to have some oil, just not too much. This will kinda act like hair spray and made my hair thicker and stronger. You go explore how youre gonna use less shampoo(less shampoo days; just put less shampoo on; putting the a little bit shampoo in water before putting it on my scalp) make sure youre massaging the SCALP side ways and let your fingers run through the hairs. When theres oil and water present with little to no shampoo, it gets kinda sticky/some grip and if you massage wrong, youll pull out some hairs. Rinse off the oils off the skin of the scalp and let the water distribute the oils onto roots and strands. Oil is 100% natural and is better than using just a hot hair blower or hair spray. 3. Use a fan to comb out your hair while your face is facing the floor after towel drying. when its straight and un tangled, use your fingers to comb it and kinda ((shake)) it iykwim. Make sure the ends dry first before the scalp to have less weight. When the ends are dry and the roots are still a little bit wet, you can throw your head all over the place and fluf it side ways with your fingers. This all worked best for me after some tries, a few weeks of experimenting and double checking that im using common sense👽

Okay, the real secret is to dye your hair. Dying your hair (especially if you dye it often) makes it able to stand up without lots of assistance than if you were to have virgin hair. That's why lots of alt people have big hair that stands up and stays up in whatever direction they want :D

Fluffy hair is fluffy because it’s soft, clean, usually styled, and contains high volume like cotton candy. This isn’t fluffy hair, it’s just messy hair that looks semi-good. If you do want fluffy hair, it’s important to note that straight hair is much more harder to make fluffy unless you use mass amounts of hair spray, and even then it might not work especially if your hair is on the longer side.
This person also has naturally fluffy hair, mine is dead straight and I can only get even close through a lot of teasing and hairspray and it takes me about 2 hours and feels super crunchy and almost solid, so it's not actually fluffy, that is what we need to mimic even a fraction of your power it's even worse than this video makes it seem

nah, its always better on the other side. fluffy hair is not fun. what about when you're putting it in a ponytail and the ponytail breaks because you have too much thick, curly, hair. its also horrible trying to sleep on it, or not being able to see unless i straighten my hair back in a certain way. idk why anyone would want fluffy hair. its very, very annoying. gets everywhere, there's too much of it, even when you cut it super short the thickness of it still stays and it makes getting tangled hair way easier and the tangles way worse. id kill for my hair to be a bit thinner and naturally straight.

It lasts like 5 minutes before my hair just falls flat again. The closest I've been able to get a longer lasted fluff is with Dry Shampoo if I do it properly.
I have shampoo suited for asian hairs since mine gets oily too fast. I avoided shampooing my hair for at least two days and bring baby power with me if I'm going out.

Most people in my family has curly or way hair. Mine decided to be in-between. The effort it take to be curly is way too much and looks bad by the end of the day no matter what I try (again my family has curly hair so I know an Insane amount of things to try) and my hair won't do the waves. So I have fluffy textured hair and can't do much about it. Im so thankful that my first job I had coworkers that loved it and helped me embrace it. But long story short I have this naturally and am in shock that people try for this look

i also have this problems sometimes, what i do to make it better is curl it in a little ball and hair clip it. i normally do this when my hair is wet after bath, but it may work being dry tho.

I have the same problem too! I searched it up and turns out it's because our hair is too soft so it just lay flat down. Trying using a different shampoo could help since some shampoos are design to make our hair soft.

Bleach doesn't really make it fluffier as much as it fries your ends and creates a fluffy look. Bleach is incredibly damaging if you don't do it correctly. People with bleached and then dyed hair will usually have that fluffy look because their ends have been fried and split. It's obvious when people aren't taking the extra steps to maintain healthy bleached/dyed hair.

I might have lacked an explanation but to make things clearer, my hair is fluffy, curly and poofy but it still stay down, it tangle very easily even though I'm a guy that has very short hair of it especially when it's natural. EDIT: You can remplace "curly" hair with "kinky" hair (mine is 3C so if you can do this hairstyle with no problem because your hair is looser, it's completely cool for you. Also, curly hair is usually fluffy already, that's why on mine I wouldn't do this technic and would aim for a different hair style. For example, having more defined curls or looking looser).

Even having really straight hair, mine poofs a lot when it dries, and my tip is (for short haired people) to not brush it or comb it, just use your fingers to untangle them. When its drying, shake your head a little, and mess it like she's doing in the video. If you want even more volume, bow down to make your head upside down and shake it like a headbanger and when you come back, just pass your fingers through it from the bottom to the top. It makes me look like a poodle, specially in days where my hair gets a little curly in the ends. But i love it and I'm happy you guys like it too.

If ur hair gets a little curly in the ends I don't think it's straight, I have dead straight hair and if I don't put product on it it does not get like this, ever. Sometimes I wake up and my hair somehow got styled nicely by my pillow during the night but it is still not fluffy it's just messy, my maximum hair volume without styling product is like the person in the video's hair when they're spraying it before they fluff it up

Otherwise it will fall flat and i don't like it. My sister have dead straight hair and it's different because hers is really thin and light, so it doesn't have structure to get shape and is always flat. I guess there's different types of straight hair, mines just not shampoo ads quality straight.

Tips from someone with straight hair that helped for me naturally with out any products:(but if it doesnt work for you, it aint my fault)
1. Shorter hair=less weight that weights your hair down
2. Less shampoo while making sure you massage your scalp is well massage to avoid blocking the glands. Its okay to have some oil, just not too much. This will kinda act like hair spray and made my hair thicker and stronger.
You go explore how youre gonna use less shampoo(less shampoo days; just put less shampoo on; putting the a little bit shampoo in water before putting it on my scalp) make sure youre massaging the SCALP side ways and let your fingers run through the hairs. When theres oil and water present with little to no shampoo, it gets kinda sticky/some grip and if you massage wrong, youll pull out some hairs. Rinse off the oils off the skin of the scalp and let the water distribute the oils onto roots and strands. Oil is 100% natural and is better than using just a hot hair blower or hair spray.
3. Use a fan to comb out your hair while your face is facing the floor after towel drying. when its straight and un tangled, use your fingers to comb it and kinda ((shake)) it iykwim. Make sure the ends dry first before the scalp to have less weight. When the ends are dry and the roots are still a little bit wet, you can throw your head all over the place and fluf it side ways with your fingers.
This all worked best for me after some tries, a few weeks of experimenting and double checking that im using common sense👽

Okay, the real secret is to dye your hair. Dying your hair (especially if you dye it often) makes it able to stand up without lots of assistance than if you were to have virgin hair. That's why lots of alt people have big hair that stands up and stays up in whatever direction they want :D

Ikr! My hair dries extremely floofy, it's her length and texture and I try to make it like hers but mine is like floof x 10 and I need to put so much product in it to de-floof it :(

my hair is literally always "poofy", its the most annoying shit ever
It lasts like 5 minutes before my hair just falls flat again. The closest I've been able to get a longer lasted fluff is with Dry Shampoo if I do it properly.
I use a visor hat after a shower. It doesn't rlly give it "fluff", but it gives it a face sense of volume ig, until i wash it again.
I have shampoo suited for asian hairs since mine gets oily too fast. I avoided shampooing my hair for at least two days and bring baby power with me if I'm going out.

Most people in my family has curly or way hair. Mine decided to be in-between. The effort it take to be curly is way too much and looks bad by the end of the day no matter what I try (again my family has curly hair so I know an Insane amount of things to try) and my hair won't do the waves. So I have fluffy textured hair and can't do much about it. Im so thankful that my first job I had coworkers that loved it and helped me embrace it. But long story short I have this naturally and am in shock that people try for this look

i also have this problems sometimes, what i do to make it better is curl it in a little ball and hair clip it. i normally do this when my hair is wet after bath, but it may work being dry tho.

Because your hair was most likely one length. Texturizing long hair is best, since longer hair is heavier than shorter hair.

I have the same problem but just gotta get a hair cut leave a little of thickness and what i use is aussie mouse in the squeeze bottle and boom soft curls do this a couple of days after every shower and boom they stay but you still have to do it every once in a while to make sure at least that's what I would do
