I hope everyone's going to remember that many years ago there had been some conversation about how Garfield was neither male nor or female....😂 And there has been some controversy about Jim Davis not wanting to celebrate Veterans Day and something about him considering veterans to be stupid. I've heard people say that when an individual becomes old oftentimes things under the surface make their way out into the open. I can understand people who visit Disney World wanting to escape reality, some people might want to read the newspaper comics to escape reality as well and sometimes I don't really like for those characters to always bring up politics or everything going on in the world. I often stay away from anything new Garfield, such as movies and new merchandise (I don't mind it when people talk about Garfield though.)

What’s problematic is that there are so many overweight and insecure women in the country, that they feel the need to “erase” anything or anyone that makes them realize they’re overweight. @@byronrush9802 Well, Walt wasn't perfect, he underpayed some of his animators, he was a product of his time in some ways, and took part in McCarthyism witch-hunts.
Though, overall he wasn't as bad as some say. Like all the anti-Semitic rumors (that stuff like "Family Guy" looove to push) are false accusations, according to people who worked for him, or knew him. (Even one whom had bad experiences with him, defended him on that.)
Another thing people don't give him credit for is he was one of the first guys to hire a black man to be an animator/artist. According to said animator, the secretary was rude to him, and tried to get rid of him, but Walt came in and stood up for him.
Doesn't sound like Walt is as bad as they claim. If anything he was more progressive than all these modern progressives working for the company now.

I'm so glad I was a kid in the 80s. I went to Disney World, we just wandered around, got in line when we wanted to, saw what we wanted to see, enjoyed a relaxing day at the pool and went home. No phones needed, no strippers, and fun was had.

This DAS thing burned my parents today, who still had Annual Passes (that they are now letting expire). They were literally told "Learn to wait in line." My parents are both physically disabled. F Disney.
Honestly, I don't know ur situation but if they are that severely disabled why have season passes .. sounds more like a burden to disney... I myself have witnessed people ride scooters all day but can get on and off the rides.. I once saw a person hop off a wheelchair and ride the surf coaster at seaworld... u stand on that ride...lol...

I was just at Disney 2 months ago, I have a service dog, not an emotional support animal, I did not ask for anything special, I paid someone to watch my dog , I suffer from severe anxiety which leads to seizures.. I bought a genie pass , avoided the lines and was away from my dog for maybe 2 -3 minutes...took a risk but I knew that b4 I arrived

I think god that I got my Disney experience when I was 12 (I'm 37 now). The most I had to worry about back then was walking around in the Florida humidity.

It's really crazy how far some places are going. You're not even supposed to ask because it's protected medical information. A doctor's verification sure, I get or a license with disabled on it. Asking specifics about a person's medical condition is a huge no no. It's no different than trying to hide illegal activities with an NDA.

This is disgusting, as someone with a disabled family member, I know how hard life can be. Just a trip to a get the groceries can be a nightmare. So, of course make life harder for people with disability. I hope they go elsewhere and stay away from Disney.

My family has two children on the Spectrum. It would be practically impossible to ride any rides without the passes that allow you to schedule rides or skip lines in some way. Parks don't have to provide such a service. But I will support parks that do and will not support parks that don't.
My daughter has ASD and Hershey Park is amazing. We got it in person and she got to ride with both my husband and myself separate times and waited in the fast lane .

They have 3 types of film at SG. Kids films, adult films and "watch it together" with distinct marketing. The "adult" films won't scar your kids (except maybe Princess Mononoki ), but they'll definitely be lost watching them, and the kids films won't induce you to kill the creators

As a European moving to the US, I always had the dream to go to Disneyland and when the possibility of moving there appeared I was still kind of excited. But between the Disney movies getting worse, Disney brand getting a bit eh in general and this whole stressful running around the park and having to plan everything... Yeah I just think I'll pass

The last time I was in Disney World, it was the most unhappy place I've been. It was a family activity, which is why I went. Hot, crowded, long lines, ride stress, expensive.....no thanks. How much fun can an amusement park ride be and how much time and money is it worth? It isn't for me.

One thing that people keep saying, that when you get your DAS, that you wait out of the line, then you go to the front of the line at your return time. NO! You then go to the lightening lane and wait in that line. So you end up waiting MORE time. Especially when so many with Genie Plus are in the same line I'm in once my hour and a half has passed. So if that line is 30 minutes, then I end up waiting a full two hours by the time for me to return elapses and I go through the second line.
I work for Wholefoods and even they stress the Social Media Clause.
Hell I used to work for Red Robin and I posted the conditions in the building onto Twitter. The only reason I didn't get my job back in 2016 was of those photos. These actors need something strict against them or at least create an insurance policy regarding the actors behavior

I’m pretty sure the last time I saw something in parades catch people’s attention was a guy dressed up as Squidward dabbing. The guy ended up getting fired I’m pretty sure. Whereas this is perfectly fine I guess. Yup, sure. Completely makes sense.
They’re making the lines artificially longer and longer to sell passes. 4 hours or pay would be ideal for them. They want people to pay 30, 50, 100 for each person to ride. Why would they make any exceptions?
We used to have standards. Watch 8mm home movies of Disneyland from the early 1960's. Women in dresses. Guys in suit and tie, maybe nice sports clothes. Everything clean and orderly. I remember those times. Whatever craziness people got up to in private, they kept it together in public. Standards. Disney used to reflect that society.
And dogs stayed outdoors in a dog house and wasn't dragged out to public places and forced on everyone. And dogs wasn't allowed to piss and crap everywhere (especially not in a grocery store isle!)
I've commented before about my divorce from Disney a couple of years ago when they became political. The stress with them though began with (aside from constant price increases on everything) having to look down at my phone for over half of my visit in order to choose rides, check wait times, etc. That being said, I was in Orlando a couple of weeks ago with the intention of using up my remaining few hundred Visa Reward dollars. Briefly I considered buying a ticket to EPCOT but as I considered that I would need to make a park reservation, then deal with Genie+ in order to get on rides (and not wait in line), I quickly decided against going into any park. It was lovely to be back on the grounds and to spend time with my favorite Flying Fish bartender. However, the thought of going into the parks was very stressful--this is coming from a 30 year, multi-visit/year, park veteran.
I feel like whoever inside the Elastigirl knows what "those"adults wants
BTW, it seems like every high school here in Texas has a "drill team" separate from the cheerleaders who perform dance routines with moves similar to Mrs. incredible's at sporting events.
Our local school's team is the Dragonettes. And, in case you are wondering, of course there was a boy who wanted to join the team in the last few years.
Yup, it seems schools have no problem putting underage girls in skimpy clothes to dance, these days at least.

I don't think that Disney can make a rule like "No Class Action Lawsuits", you cannot waive a right like that legally in a contract. It is unenforceable.

The Country Bear animatronics look first rate to me, and I think the costumes are a big improvement. I hope the song selection is good. I would prefer a selection of old American traditional songs that are mostly forgotten but still good, but what I think we'll get are songs from recent Disney movies sung in a country style, and we don't need those.
It's almost as if everytime Disney does something for sensitivity reasons can almost always expect them to do something polar opposite soon after.
To my knowledge you can not 'Contract' yourself away from prosecution for breaking laws!
I mean if Disney wants to have adult themes, they should make an adult only venue for it.
