Yeah, people like to think there’s some sort of magical audience. It’s just easier to blame something else rather than taking personal responsibility to improve copywriting skills and learning how to craft a better offer.
I will say for certain niche industries, the right email list will make or break their results. Especially if there's not many related on FB interests.
Ben, what are your thoughts on using software like Hyros? It has been quite helpful in a lot of areas, just wondering if you've ever used that type of tracking software now that iOS has basically hindered any available tracking now after all of their updates. It's great to see which ads are really getting sales & which ads didn't (even when FB claims it made a sale), & seeing which landing pages work the best, watching where people go from page to page on our website, etc., just wondering if you have any ideas of the best way to utilize the software. Piggybacking on your second point about targeting, I'm curious if you have any thoughts on how recent FB changes have affected advertisers' ability to target users who are interested in weight loss. (basically they've removed many of the old health/weight loss related targeting categories so you can no longer target those audiences) Do you feel like it's still worth it to advertise on FB for people like myself (I'm a weight loss/health coach), or would you say try elsewhere since the targeting options have been severely limited for those interests? Thanks!
Hi Laila, thanks a lot. Ultimately the best performers on any platform are likely to generate fantastic results - no matter what changes happen. If you can become one of those - the rewards are still there to be had. I never think it's a bad idea to test other ad platforms. Most in your space will still see the best results on FB and IG
I'd like to add one slight contradiction to this, adobe has special targeting audiences you can pay to access and put into facebook and they can improve audiences and results for certain businesses. So don't be afraid to look at them. In most cases he's right on the money otherwise.

Awesome - I would start by taking on a client that you know well if possible and work for free. Once you can deliver good results for them you are good to get started. If you don't know any business owners I would be honest and say that are still learning and therefore willing to work for free. That way you can practice without too much expectation.

Hi, I have heard about that update but I don't fully understand the implications, I thought it was just impacting the ads reporting function in Facebook, but the ads and conversions should not be affected?
@@DenisMcCaul honestly I don’t fully understand it either. I just know when in the ad set setup during selecting the conversion event, there is a note that says that may not be delivered to people who opt out of tracking on iOS 14 or later devices.

Broad targeting can work well. I don't think there's any downside to retargeting alongside it though.
