I think she was one of the most beautiful woman ever. She just captures you with those eyes
I wish someone would've told that to MGM
yeaaa! she does to me wuaooo!;)
@@meadoremums they must have known
Her mouth and those lips were just breathtaking 👄
Millie Bobby Brown looks like her❤️
Oh man. Those sparkling doe eyes. I don't know why judy was never supposed to be the one of the "pretty girls" like lana or ava at the time. She really had such a sweet face.
miriana lajtman I know, she was so pretty and adorable. And those eyes - they really capture you, don't they?
At 18 here, she looked the best she ever did in her films.
She was the entire package-performer, beauty, girlish charm. That’s eons better than a glamour girl.
They were starving her. If you see her movies just a few years earlier she looked nothing like this.
Jidy became bit harsh looking in eatly 50s cant explain why. Not sure if she had work done in her early mid 20s. But for some reason her face got bit harsh looking. Still beautiful, but not as beautiful as here.
I love when Mickey asks her to sing him a song and she says at 0:08 How do you know i can? Her voice. Her eyes. Her smile. 🥰
Even though they’re just lines to the movie- he’s right, she even sings when she speaks. ❤️✨
Omg, yes.
Judy Garland was so adorable when she was young,
I think she was gorgeous when she did her series in the early 60’s
And older too :) God bless u
@Molly R. Goates lol
He died 5 years ago. The last star of the golden age of Hollywood. I liked all your films Mickey. You were good! You could do it all. Thanks for all the movies you left behind.
He was very talented.
He had roles in most of my favorite childhood movies. Pete's Dragon, Night at the Museum, and all of those Christmas films that he voiced Santa Clause.
I wouldn’t say he’ was the last... I read the other day where Olivia de Havilland is still alive.
Mickey was very talented, but, if he had the wrong director, the ham in him would come out. Sometimes when someone else was featured he would go overboard to draw attention to himself. I like Mickey, but, that's the truth.
@@jetpilot3714 This was true when you wrote it; alas no more. :’(
Judy just timeless and stunning as ever. Young Mickey Rooney was such a cutie, it's easy to see why the pair was a knockout entertainment success.
He looks like Ron Weasley
@@loiman4179 if Ron Weasley was a cutie maybe
Eu amo a dupla deles e eles. Só isso.
Judy and mickey are soulmates 🥺
it never fails to hurt me deep inside that behind the scenes and Hollywood sets, that Judy was starved and severely mistreated by MGM. Rest in power Judy, paving the way and making this world feel safe for someone like me.
this has to be the prettiest I've seen judy garland ❤
I'm Japanese and this is my favorite American song.
That makes sense because it is a perfect snapshot of American culture 75 years ago or so.
this is the funniest comment and yet I completely understand the sentiment
People told her she was ugly but just look at her, she outshines everything. Beautiful and talented 💕
People compared her to Hollywood beauties : Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth. and many more.
But for sure she was not ugly.
Ur thinking of Liza they called her ugly
Her voice is obviously amazing. It's as good as any voice I've ever heard. But even putting that aside, the idea she was told she was ugly is outrageous. I think she looks incredible here.
I agree. She's beautiful! I heard she had a playful personality, too. That's a good combination. I'd rather have a cute and fun person than a beauty queen.
These two made the best movies
It just warms the heart.
mickey smooth af
xXanaXBloodXx 😂
Judy Garland Judy Garland gives me a thrill what about you 😍😘
she does to me!;)
If you are quoting a song from Babes on Broadway it's HOW about you.
Mickey and Judy were both geniuses in their many talents. They could look at a script and know it.....learn dance steps quickly....amazing both of them.
I always feel like I get judged for listening to this type of music and watching this type of stuff at an age like this (I'm 15 btw and Samoan😅). I just feel like seeing how much things have changed now (good and bad) I realise how beautiful things were back then. The romance, music and the way they act in general. Nowadays we're stuck with people my age trying to act like gangsters 😂 overall I just really love how things were back then and wish I would've gotten to experience it myself.
I'm 14! My sister and I grew up on old movies!
Great post! 😊
Me too 🖤
I’m 27 and Iagree with your statement.
Same here. I wish I got to experience it myself too...
Judy was very gifted and sweet and had a wonderful sense of humor ! Mickey was cute too and had a crush on him when he was much younger as I was 18 and loved watching old Mickey Rooney movies so fell heals in love with the younger Mickey Rooney like here !
This is the best version of this beautiful and classic song ever! This musical number from the classic 1941 MGM classic movie Babes on Broadway is pure movie magic!
She’s so beautiful hear I still can’t believe Hollywood said she was ugly were they blind or just dumb she’s stunning naturally gorgeous and that voice man she’s awesome!!🤩💝🙌
She's so gorgeous man. These two together, all I see is love. Makes my heart swooon!
idk how anyone as cool as her could exist
the way they just loved each other, you can tell. not romantic necessarily, just love.
Beautiful and precious. Wish we had more people like this now days
i wish☹️
There are some beautiful actors and actresses today.
I absolutely love Judy here! It's my probably my favorite movie scene of hers (apart from The Man That Got Away in ASIB). She is so full of wonder, her smile is heartwarming, and those eyes are insanely gorgeous. Such a genuine, natural performance. I've always wondered how she would have ended up if given a chance to lead a happy, healthy life surrounded by people who loved and cared for her.
I agree 100%
Her daughters, who loved and cared for her, said that she was always fun to be with. I believe them.
Happy birthday Judy. You were an amazing singer, and actress
This is and always will be my favorite version of this song.
They were perfect together
Judy is candidate for the greatest star Hollywood ever produced. A triple threat. Unbelievably gifted singer, actor and could dance.
Her charisma and talent are immeasurable and to top it off so pretty!
Judy was such a dream... Gorgeous...
It's sweet, because they were both best friends in real life.
0:27 What a beautiful smile
Mickey and Judy..timeless!! ❤️🙏
Mickey Rooney had a great head of hair !
Long eyelashes, too. They're just a little harder to see because they were sandy-colored.
I love Mickey Rooney I almost have a crush on him
Not anymore.
Not for long.
Judy and Micky were a well matched pair in the films they made. This song is so well done....both of them were at their best.
Judy And Mickey we’re just a cute couple R.I.P both of them we love you :)
Those are some good lines by Mickey. Shae wasn't just a classic beauty. She had incredible facial talent to express moments large than life.
" and Franklin Roosevelt's looks give me a thrill......"
GARLAND sang the line with a straight fact too. Now, that's acting ! ! !
She’s so gorgeous 🥰 such a lovely sweet face. There will never be another like her 💕
What a pair!!!!
It's hard to say which movie Judy is the most beautiful in . She is very pretty here at 19 but look at her in The Clock, MMISL. Or even The Pirate. She is stunning.
The 5 people who disliked this masterpiece are pure evil.
It is schmaltzy cheese.
It cannot be denied!
3 more evils disliked in a year Hermione Granger.. I think we know who's behind this.. 👀🤐
No auto tune here! Love this!
I hate the sound auto-tune makes!
if i had judys voice, u would never hear me shut up. she looks absolutely gorgeous in this film. i wish she was able to see how beautiful she truly was.
Mickey is sooooo cute and charming *_* his lines always make me believe they're true, ugh! >///
God, the end of the harmony gave me goosebumps. Human singing at its best.
Perfection-That's all I can say about Judy
Unthinkably perfect! Virtually the best thing I've ever seen on TH-cam!
Finally this is on TH-cam ! Thank you for the upload!!!
And Louis B. Mayer called her "my little hunchback" because she had scoliosis. Yet there was probably no brighter star with so much talent that ever shined in Hollywood. This beautiful film clip proves it. She was and is unmatched.
Louis B. Mayer was a creep.
Yes she was beautiful my heart sings with her!
The actors in those days were so versatile.................Judy looked so happy then.
And Judy Garland’s looks give me a thrill!
I can hear so much Liza when she talks 🧡
Judy Garland...absolutely adorable!!
I don't know about you guy's but I just fell in love
Love this version. Never heard it till now.
Judy Garland si ravissante c est un ange qui est partie au dessus de l arc en ciel😍😍😘
Great rendition! I love the way she almost laughs when he sings “to a degree” in regard to Jack Benny’s jokes (and I loved Jack Benny).
Judy had a beautiful smile.
The beginning almost seemed genuine. Judy was so cute.
She's so tiny, and yet her voice is like that one of a full grown woman
I just imagine Mickey and Judy in heaven married and happy 😭
Darling...You are a true romantic....Thank goodness for people like you!
One of my favorite songs, and they do it beautifully together ❤️
Those big beautiful eyes and that cute little giggle at :28. Wow!
Mickey was so cute back then!
Awwwww so cuteeee she is my love
She’s STUNNING
Love the oldiies
This is a happy song, but her eyes reduce me to tears.
You our stunningly beautifully women Judy love you very much jimi
Wishing Judy A Happy Birthday!!!!!
I'm 24 but this is one of my favorite Judy Garland Song🤩❤️💝
She looks especially fresh and pretty here, so for the times. 10/2019
i love this song i just wish it would show the song and dance after the song its just as charming
A winning duo.
"Well I'll be darn.." XD
Does anyone else fall in love when watching this? xD
She was gorgeous.
Flawless. Both wonderful.
Both such talented, charming teens
J W, Mickey was 21 when they made Babes on Broadway. He was born in 1920 and this Babes was released in Dec. of 1941. Judy was 19.
They look like they could have gone in for a kiss at the end of the song.
😍💕I love this song..pure love.. today is so contaminated with vulgar expressions.. and body language..so sad and impure..
classicac16 Well, There are types of music :/
Easy to see that Judy was right in her prime here ; I’ve never seen her look so beautiful.
What a mellow voice. This period must have been her vocal peak.
Beautiful,nice post,thanks
Judy was sooooo beautiful at that age. Such a shame her life went into a downward spiral as she got older. And why did she not think she was beautiful like Lana Turner of Liz Taylor?? OMG.. I think Judy was much more beautiful , those eyes are mesmerizing not to mention that voice! Makes my heart pitter-patter. RIP dear Judy.
So Cute!!
Love watching this
Mickey was a fireplug self proclaimed
lovely
I'm here because of Harry Nilsson. This is too freaking adorable.
Really the all Anerican girl in her youth, like a Debbie Reynolds but with great talent.RIP Judy you were unique and simply the best.
Debbie Reynolds had great talent.
Beautiful singing . . . and yet, only 20 years old. Wonderful!
Judy was 18 or 19. She was born June 10, 1922, and this film was released in 1941. Don't know the date.
@@terrysmith8749 Thanks for your message.
@@richardgornalle4536 During the filming in July 1941, she married David Rose. They eloped and LB Mayer sent Judy a telegram stating that the shooting couldn't be delayed and they had to return to LA almost immediately. The film completed production in late summer and released in the late fall of '41.
@@paulfraccalvieri2188 Thanks for the interesting background story. The young Judy sang with amazing maturity, being able to express the soul of a song. She was able to appear so damn "natural". It's a gift. Thanks for the text.
It's so wonderful.
Pretty like crazy 🖤
They sure had nice voices
Much Better Than Sinatra. And the words make much more sense now.
