- Windy day in SW Florida but that’s not stopping us from taking the boat for lunch at a dock and dine!
We’re taking our dog Matey with us to a local waterfront restaurant we have never been to in Cape Coral off the Caloosahatchee river called First around Draft.
Our 2019 Regal XO with 300 hp will make a short trip of this run through the river and canals to the sports bar that has ample docking for boats of all sizes.
The restaurant is accessed by taking marker 58 on the river into the Chantrey canal, passed Rosen Park and marina and onto the Honolulu canal where the docks are right at the bridge for Delprado Blvd. it’s a nice ride not the Cape Coral Canal system with no bridges and deep water.
The new boat is like a sports car - perfect for the quick trips for a lunch bite!
I enjoy your content very much!
We have freezing temps and lots of snow right now, making me miss FL even more.
Great video captain. God bless!!!
I started out boating with a 1995 20' Starcraft bowrider and then went up to a 34' Silverton Convertible so that I could stay aboard. I loved that boat because it was roomy and had plenty of room for me to stay aboard. I got 3 footitist and moved up to a 41' Silverton Convertible, and while it was great to stay on it was a nightmare to take out. I needed a crew of two to take that boat out so sold her and moved down to a 2000 SeaRay 340 Sundancer....I love this boat. I need to get my video edited and uploaded to my channel. Take care!
Looking forward to it!
@@yesdear9618 I loved my 34C
Enjoyed the ride in the New Digs. Thanks for having me along.
Beautiful new boat ! Congratulations! Gives you more flexibility. My comment is that I never like to see a cruiser on plane with their walk-thru windshield open. Mine slammed shut in the wind one time. I never cruised without closing it again.
Thanks! Luckily I never had that happen. There is a magnet that holds the window open pretty securely, But a strong wind gust or wave at speed may send it flying!
I also love your new boat! Congratulations! So versatile. 👍🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks so much! 😊
Thanks for the tour and the boat ride! Feels good to sit back and let someone else do the driving.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the new boat, outboard motor is great, less shallow water worries.
Can’t wait to get her to a sandbar!
Man that was a close one (admiral comment) ... I thought I saw her lining up spots where she was going to land a Slap or Two ... Dang !!! 😊
Lol
That was a nice day trip on your Regal
Aussie on the boat 🛥️!!!! Priceless 😊
Congrats on the new boat! Consider me a bit jealous of the weather, it was 19F here in East TN this morning....ugh.
Lovely had the pleasure of going to Cape Coral twice nice boat we stayed on the canals both times.
So beautiful and relaxing. Thank you for sharing

Love the new boat!
You guys are so dam funny.
Enjoyed watching my dog bark whenever Matey was on screen, especially when barking at those two dogs on the shore. 😂
Matey loves watching dogs on tv. He even barks at himself. I have a video of matey watching matey watching matey. Lol
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs 😆
Awesome Video.
Thanks!
That traffic jam looks like the LIE east bound to jones beach lol
Hello from Chicago. Been going to the Cape for many years. Have gone on same canal trip to 1st Round and is one of my favs. Also recommend Phuzzys in St. james and Parrot Key in FT.Myers beach. My all time fav is Boat House north on Caloosahatchee river in N. FT. Myers. see you guys in February.
We’ve been to all those places except parrot key. Have to look into that. Thanks!
I Love that new Boat..
Great show happy holidays 🎉 Greg from Boston ma 🎉❤
Nice boat bro. Hope you guys had a great time. 👍
Thanks 👍
Did you ever see the video of the guy explaining the Hot/Crazy scale for women? Well YOU my friend have found one of what he calls, a Unicorn!! Beautiful, Always Smiling, Fun, and can take a joke and play along! Congrats you guys!!! Great times! beautiful boat!
Yes. I know it well. Called her my unicorn long ago!
Hello cap. My dog Inna wen crazy at the doogs on the dock cap.😉👍⚓️
lol. Matey went nuts every time I was editing that part of video.
We just spent a 4 day Thanksgiving trip to Pelican Bay, enjoy. ❤️ Our last boat (before the PDQ) was as a 27’ Regal with twin I/Os with the same layout as yours. I got tired of seeing where we have been looking back, but I sure was comfortable. Tell Brigette to get a booster seat to see where you are going. 🙃 that is what I did.
Brigitt always faces aft. No booster needed. lol
Fun trip for lunch! I thought that Matey was going to chew some *** on the trip back!
Love it.
Love seeing the same boat that we have 💜… can’t wait to see your boat parade video . Have y’all thought about going up to Tampa for Gasparilla?
I would love to do that. It’s a hike for us. Perhaps one of these years.
wish my boat was still in the water
super jelly that you can boat all season
Time to move bud!
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs I wish
Talked to my vet in Punta Gorda and they are actually seeing a decrease in respiratory illness in dogs. They say it's media exaggeration, as usual.
Thanks!
Audio is better you can pull me skiing now I like 28 miles an hour Greg from Boston ma 🎉
Is the new boat a 2019 leftover? Sure is a nice looking, boat! Matey has found his lookout spots and jumps from cushion to cushion. Bridjit looks comfy laying there. You can get to places a lot quicker. The Regal is a winner!
Not a leftover. It was a used boat. We are 3rd owner.
looks new, immaculate!@@AdventuresofHappyOurs
Great video. We are looking to vacation in Cape Coral this winter. We are looking to get a house with a dock/boat lift and enjoy the canals. Nice to know there are dock side restaurants that allow dogs as we will have ours. Could you recommend a web site that will give us info on pet friendly places in the area? Aloha
Nearly every restaurant on the water with outdoor seating is pet friendly. Here is a website that lists all the waterfront restaurants in the area. nauticalmilemagazine.com/restaurants
Good save……lol
Would like to see the restaurants you stop at.
We’ll bring every one to you in a video 😁
A coworker of mine and his family had a bad experience there. They asked a question about their meal, the owner stepped in and asked them to leave.
Sailing in dangerous waters there for a minute, lol.
Dog gone another boating look at us video lol
You sell the big fly bridge boat ?...love the new one
Still have the Meridian too. Have a big trip planned for it this week….. to the boatyard. Lol
For some reason I thought your boat was a carver...lol.my mistake..
Try going to Miceli’s at Matlacha. I’ve been there by car but not by boat yet.
We went out there with the pontoon but no video on that t. Next time!
My older 88 regal was heavy as heck. Wondering if you’re new model is heavy as well? Great video as usual
I think she’s about 6500lbs dry. Not bad for a cruiser with a generator.
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs yeah, I think mine was about the same. May be a few hundred pounds more. No generator or air-conditioning though. But it did have a big V-8 io.
Stumbled upon your channel because i binge watch all things boating in Florida since I moved here many years ago from Staten Island , I wanted to ask are you from Staten Island or Brooklyn?? You look very very familiar, did you work for the city ???
Born and raised in Staten Island. Moved further upstate around 2013. Worked all over Brooklyn and Manhattan for Verizon.
Does it seem underpowered at all, does in purpose bad?
It certainly has enough power for us. Topped out at 42 before we loaded it up. High 30’s now. But we rarely go over 28 so life is good. Porpoising is easily controlled but adjusting motor trim.
How long until Happy Ours goes up for sale? 😂
No plans for that yet!
Our 30lb terrier fell off the bow at night while pulling the anchor if it wasn’t for his vest it would be very difficult to get a wet dog back onboard the wife hooked his vest handle very easy. Other boaters where yelling as we didn’t even know he fell we where Underway already. We’ll look for you as we pass pelican bay heading to cabbage key Sat enjoy
You would think you could copy paste and email address but apparently I'm struggling
