It's awkward to reverse into, too, because you have to come in at an angle and then swing the car close to the gutter to straighten up. Not a lot of room to correct if you get it wrong. The other ramps you can reverse back on to straight.
Idk if it’s because it’s Florida, or because you have loosey goosey maritime law there, or because few pay attention to the laws, but boaters there are loco! 🤪
Dual wheels drop the friction coeffient because they are spreading the weight over a bigger area, dry clean pavement the difference is small but on a wet slick ramp it magnifies the problem The fact it needs to be explained to you is sad
@@Zzrdemon6633 - That's the common sense version, but it's not actually accurate. The force of static friction depends on the materials and the amount of force being applied between them. The area doesn't come into it. Example: Steel on concrete has a coefficient of static friction of about .9 If a 1,000 lb steel block is sitting on concrete it will take 900 pounds of force to move it. It doesn't matter if the block is one foot square or ten feet square. Duallies give a better chance for each side to have a slightly cleaner patch under one tire, which increases the coefficient of static friction and gives better traction.

Ford driver has probably been the best on this channel... docked perfectly, trailered down perfectly 1st try, and got the boat out quickly....👌👌👍👍

He nailed that vehicle backup approach first try. Crushed it.

Someone with a tow strap & real 4X4 truck could clean house at $20 a pull at that ramp.
Somebody with a practice ramp could do even better! 😉

Locking the hubs isn’t necessary to use 4WD. Locking hubs on a F350 stops a one wheel spin, aka differential.
So, what am I missing? Was there something wrong with the last ramp on the right as we're looking at it?🤔
It's steep and narrow for jetskis and small boats.
It's awkward to reverse into, too, because you have to come in at an angle and then swing the car close to the gutter to straighten up. Not a lot of room to correct if you get it wrong. The other ramps you can reverse back on to straight.
That Kodiak is actually a 6x6 with the dually's on the back.
I honestly don’t get it. I’ve been backing boats down some very long and very steep ramps since I was 14. It’s not that difficult!

Why are they trying to hit the right side when they are clearly closed by the huge barriers at the top of the ramp?

Why is half of all ramps blocked?
If the first guy was going to try to get out in two-wheel drive, his wife should have been in the very back of the truck, not in the boat!
I don't understand why there are boats and jet skiis siding along the area where boats are trying to load. Why don't they get out of the way?
Is there no one to clean the seaweed off the incline ramps? No workers of any sort?
Most people think with dual wheels it gives you twice the tractions but in reality it cuts your traction in half.

Two bolted together counts as one, since they don't move separately.
