Originally recorded in 1963 as an acoustic demo in a Denver Colorado recording studio for Band Box Records. Strings and percussion were overdubbed by Pat Williams in 1966 to cash in on Jack Nitzche's arrangements on Bob's first World Pacific album. Bob never liked the album, didn't give proper permission to MGM or Verve to issue it, and the issue was out of his reach since Band Box Records sold the demo masters to MGM without Bob's knowledge. To this present day, Bob continues to disown this album.
