Whoa! Getting 50+ FPS on Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p resolution from an iGPU is crazy. The AMD Radeon 890M is worth the money for people that have multi-core power needs for work. Fortune 500 programmers using Java primarily. Non-programming engineers will use a dedicated GPU.
Battery life isn't as good as Lunar Lake CPUs, but 8 hours of regular use unplugged and 2 hours of gaming use unplugged is still respectable.

It depends. To me it only matters in handhelds and really thin laptops, but these are not necessarily the most cost effective solution, specially the laptop. You can spend so much less and get a dedicated gpu and that way get way more performance for cheaper. That said, I’m glad iGPUs improve, because I love handhelds.

It's worth noting that these two chips handle TDP quite differently. The Intel chip's TDP is the total package power, which accounts for everything on the SoC including RAM and WiFi/Bluetooth, whereas it would only be the CPU and GPU power on the AMD chip. As such, if you were to set both TDPs to the same 20W value, the total motherboard power from the AMD laptop would be higher than that of the Intel giving it a smal advantage overall. This is less of an issue at higher TDPs, but for something like a handheld would make a pretty big difference to performance and battery life.

@@rattlehead999 Depending on the scenario, even a 7800X3D can bottleneck a mid tier GPU. For example, running CSGO at 720 low. The GPU will be able to push out more frames for the 7800X3D to handle. since we know Lunar lake CPU < 370HX, high FPS tests will innaccurately show 370HX winning when in fact both GPUs are roughly on par.
