I fitted mine today to a 2020 Corolla and followed your great video for the fitting/wirering.Everything works perfectly. The difference between the G13 and stock is like night and day.Thankyou for the videos.
Great video! Squishy Hammer, do you find that you use the maps capability in the Android OS or the maps in Android Auto more often? I'm going to get one of these for my 2019 RAV4 and I feel like I'd use the Android Auto version more.
@paulpurington8637 thanks! There's a lot of rav4 drivers here! I find I'm using Android Auto 99% of the time I'm driving just because it's so convenient and easy to get going. Only when I'm on a long trip somewhere unfamilar or planning multiple routes I prefer using the native Google maps app. Split screen is really useful in these cases. Cheers
I recommend getting the injen x-pedal pro (black edition) you will notice an immediate difference in responsiveness with acceleration, and it also fully eliminated any stutter or lag which used to happen to me often at stop signs. A very simple install and it doesnt void any warranty
Hey man! Thanks, funny that you mention that. I was at the coffee drive thru earlier and most times I do notice an acceleration delay on the rolla. Sometimes it happens and sometimes not. I actually never knew this product exists - Does this correct it? How is it for you & have you encountered any side effects?
@squishyhammer I highly recommend it. It has improved the driving experience without a doubt. I keep mine on sport 7. You can get one through there website or probably from eBay and if you don't think it makes a difference or you don't like it then just return it but I'm pretty sure you'll be fairly surprised with the results, and it hooks up with like one or two cables I'm sure you will have no issues, there's a good video showing how to install it. It doesn't increase the overall speed of the vehicle just the responsiveness of the acceleration, even if you floor the gas, Toyotas have a built-in limiter into the ECU and the x pedal essentially overrides it. It just makes the vehicle feel much more In tune
There's another thing I want to mention, and hopefully it can help someone out there cause It confused the crap out of me. A couple months ago my water pump went bad, a common issue with these, so I had it repaired at Toyota. I also have an AInavi head unit, before I took my car in to get repaired, everything was functioning correctly on my Toyota remote connect app, but after they worked on it the app was no longer able to work because the app said "cannot complete while car is being serviced, please try again later" I could not start my car or lock it or anything with the app, until I hooked up my OEM radio back up and right away popped up a message talking about service mode and asking if I should remove it so if course I did and that fixed the issue, I have now reinstalled my Android unit and can successfully use my app again. I really don't understand how the dealership put it into service mode in the first place considering I gave it to them with the Android unit in there but I'm guessing maybe the car detected it was being worked on and just did it automatically or something like that.
@@sLaMz1o1 Interesting note 🤔 Thanks for mentioning - sounds like a good idea to keep the factory head unit around or just swap it in before taking it into Toyota...
I got one and mine was horrible. Everything was amazing but the headset mic was really bad and the external mic situation didn't work because even tho it was connected the head unit mic was still working so the person I was speaking to could hear themselves twice and it was a headache. I contacted them and they sent some update but the issue still remained and I saw many others having the same issue
Generally all android units suffer the same fate. I find this one is definitely better than my ainavi unit however they all don't compare 100% to stock. It does take some setup to get a better result though depending on the mic location and your environment. There are some calls which are perfectly fine and some have distortion issues. But I agree mic quality does suffer with these android units as I haven't encountered one that I can definitively say has consistent quality. Cheers
Hey man, two questions, - 1. Does the navigation arrows still work on the multi information display beside the speedometer with this headunit? 2. Is there another version for right-hand side drive? Thanks man :)
Navigation arrows i'm not certain what is meant by that, probably not found on my 2020 Rolla, but if it interacts with native apps on your factory unit it may not function properly or not at all. That's a very good question about right-side vehicles, I think you're best bet to get answers would be contacting Dasaita sales directly as unfortunately I can't confirm your two questions myself in totality. Cheers
In the Part 1 comment section I did speak about some differences while I was testing but mainly the stands out are: 1. AA starts up faster and bt is more stable with the G13. 2. The sound processing is crazy good. 3. Call quality is more improved 4. I like the widescreen a lot more than ainavi's. The only downsides are my 12-pin 3rd party 360 cameras in my other video isn't compatible and I do miss having a physical home button on the panel. Now there might be some improvements from the H5/H6 I bought last year. You can't go wrong with either of these units, I guess it depends on your preference and their niche features. Cheers
Awesome! Thanks for your comments 😁 I've found that the G13 doesn't have the 12-pin connector for the cameras found in my 360 video unfortunately. I believe it does support a 10-pin connector only for vehicles that have an oem/factory 360 system already installed. Other than that, the G13 is so silky smooth to use. I'll take a gander at that one you mentioned. Cheers
LOL I wouldn't know but I've seen some videos people running emulation games which is pretty nifty. Can it run Crysis is definitely a mystery too 😁... cheers
In case you missed it, here's Part 1: th-cam.com/video/dhW2yaWh6m4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iYtdrm0kvbVpxhY_ Hope you enjoy the review guys!
Your video was more helpful in helping me set this up than Dasaita themselves lol. Thanks a lot 😊
LOL thanks! I spent a huge amount of time in the setup, glad to have passed on the knowledge! Cheers
Your videos comes in a very uniquely clean format and very informative... 💯 👍

Awesome to hear! Thanks for watching - It must be overwhelming to be finally free from that Entune lol. Cheers
The video details all the features. Thanks for the high-quality content for Dasaita!

quality videos !!!
I've been following you with this unit. One thing I would like to know, what is the mic quality like for phone calls through the unit?

@@squishyhammer No worries man, might be a difference with the oceania versions :)
How does this compare to your previous Ainavi? Did you saw any big difference?
In the Part 1 comment section I did speak about some differences while I was testing but mainly the stands out are: 1. AA starts up faster and bt is more stable with the G13. 2. Can this work with 360 Cameras? Would also love you to review Dudu7. Awesome review and your video for 360 camera has inspired me to do it to my car

but can it play runescape lol that im curious about

Does it work with 360 cameras?
@-AJ-M Only native oem 360 camera support. 3rd party 360 cameras that use the 12 pin connector like in my other 360 video won't work. Cheers
Looks very bright at night, is it distracting?
At night I usually set brightness to the lowest which is easier on the eyes. I think for the purposes of filming I set it to high in the video. Cheers
Squishy, would you possibly be willing to sell me your old hiworld canbus, just the box? I'm located in Chicago
Your best bet would be buying it separately on Aliexpress... it's easily available. I have it on another car atm
