A very good review and I must admit, I was one of those people daunted but fitting my own dash cams but it did seem a hell of a lot easier than I always imagined. With the price of insurance now I think dash cams are invaluable and (imo) every car should have them fitted as standard, especially with that terrifying geezer lose on the streets lol! Cheers Alan

I wasn't expecting something like this but I enjoyed it. On a different point, do they have any advice or recommendations, as to having the cameras exposed to the searing heat inside a car on a hot day? The reason that I mention this, is that I had a dashcam which practically fryed inside my car and wouldn't work again, being left in a very hot car.
Thats a good point,like cameras or anything with a lens left in a hot car would warp,think best thing is get one those window covers inside or the outside ones.Thank you for pointing this out.now all we got to do is wait for the sun lol.debs xx

I think that overall, they are aware of temperature extremes and have built them with components that will last. The early days were different, as it was a new thing back then and not really tried and tested that much but the cheap ones will never last.

When i had a motorhome in 2005,i had a garmin satnav,had it for 8 years never a problem,well once when i only downloaded half of germany to the satnav lol debs xx

Just noticed this supercapacitor on this dashcam can take -20 and heat of 60 c debs xx

They do make a very nice dash cam. I have a Garmin 56, which is much smaller and accepts voice commands 😁
