      @@NDAWELOL Agree - the only thing EV6 needed was a reshaped boot to be less bulbous and less loopy rear lights, but Kia ignored all that and changed the coolest part instead (the headlights)!

      Agreed. I have the 2022 EV6 and glad I got it - the refresh is a bit too busy in the headlights lacking the cohesive "tiger eyes" of the original. Maybe the next generation reboot in 2 years will be better.

    I drive an EV6 and have never thought I needed a rear wiper. I of course like they upgraded the battery and range but other than that I don’t see much changed. It’s not something which will make me trade but if I had to this would still be very high on the list for next car. I see the layout was changed on the infotainment but is it actually different. My biggest problem with this car is how difficult it is to use the system and how bad the route planning is. That’s what they need to work on. That charge flap thing you showed at the end should also be changed.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Couldn't agree more. As far as the route planning goes, good that we now get wireless AA and CarPlay on the facelift.

  • @JohnSmith-bt4lf
    @JohnSmith-bt4lf หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Just a correction - "panoramic" implies that there's glass above the second row of seats, which is not the case on the EV6. The EV6 sunroof is just a sunroof.
    I'm disappointed to see that the heated/ventilated seats and steering wheel controls are still capacitive touch buttons on the higher trims, rather than physical buttons like what you get on non-GT-Line trims in the pre facelift. I hope the lower trims still get the physical buttons. They're just better.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the correction, I sincerely do appreciate it. I sure am a fan of physical buttons when it comes to frequently used ones too :)

    I prefer the previous EV6 more, BUT i do like the new GT Line look. As for the rear wiper, as of right now, I have no complaints. But I'm yet to experience my EV6 in winter, so in a few months, I will know if I'm gonna want one.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, winter is when IONIQ 5 owners dearly need the rear wiper 🥲 But I already see many EV6 owners having driven the car for years without needing the rear wiper. Didn't know you own EV6!

  • @kloqueman
    @kloqueman หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    They missed a few key things in this facelift, for sure that charging port flap is so much better than the current 'cord'. Such a simple thing to change. Shame. I don't mind not having a rear wiper on my EV6 but I know many miss it.
    Finally, my biggest grip on the EV6, when it rains, the water accumulates on the lowest part of the wing mirrors....the cameras! So you indicate right or left in the rain and often the image you see for the blind spot is useless. I can't believe they missed this in test driving.

    Hi, I drive a Ev6. like the previous message would not go out deliberately to swap my car for the new version. Some features I like and some not. It was always going to be difficult for Kia to face lift it with out ruining what was a great design from the off.

  • @Begreen9

    Love the improvements, but I wish they would drop the combo hvac/function bar. It's the most annoying thing about the EV6. The EV3 has a much better implementation. I'd also like more choices for the primary screen layout. The most important information should be in the center (MPH, range, etc.) I don't like the tiny text t the bottom for things like mode, temperature, etc. It would be easy for them to provide different configurations based on driver preference. Personally I would like temperature and compass direction to show up on the secondary (screen).
    A better exterior color selection would also be nice. Still, overall Kia did a great job with the update.

    To be honest, I was nearly all set on a Ioniq 5N, but the EV6 GT is tempting me a lot too. Especially now that it will have some of the features of the 5N and if I'm not mistaken, the GT also has an optional towing hook (it would only be for a bike rack, but still). As soon as the facelifted GT comes out it's time to make a decision. Thanks for the great videos!

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Indeed. I5N is an N after all, while EV6 GT having that badge - GT - might suit and serve other purposes than I5N. Curious how the car would come out, won't be long!

I noticed that the volume and cruise control buttons on the steering wheel are now a barrel instead which I much prefer. Also I wish that start button was where the fingerprint scanner is at now. Leaving that top area flat would've been ideal as I could place things on there like a tablet or so. Of course it would be something light in weight but that would've nice.

    Perfect car would be everything on the refresh but with the old headlights and GT Line-S wheels. Also buttons for the heated cool/seats on all trims would be better as it is too easy to activate touch buttons with your wrist when operating the climate controls. The new AR nav screen which shows the front cam view on the screen with route overlaid, is pretty amazing.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Although I am not 100% sure about this, the heated seat and ventilated seat button is actually a bit more difficult for you to operate on this facelift model to precisely prevent that such as the unwanted operation of the buttons.

    I have owned my Kia EV6 GT-Line for almost 3 years now and i have never felt a need for a rear wiper. As for the facelift, not much have changed. Only thing that i see as a great improvement is the keyless functionality and the bigger battery. I did like the old steering wheel design better aswell as the headlight design. But that is just details. Other then that im very happy with my EV6 but i do think im going to try another brand for my next car. The Infotainment system is not up to snuff, it needs to be updated faster and for free with OTA updates when a car costs as much as the EV6 does.

    I know why you are comparing things to the EV3 because that car is brand new and more innovative in many ways. The EV6 I bought 1 year ago was the hottest thing when it first came out but like everything they keep improving with new technology and ideas. EV3 is now the current darling and EV6 is looking just a little dated. Not enough has changed to create new excitement.

      Thanks for sharing, but I'd still go with EV6 any day! EV3 came out great indeed, it's just that I couldn't help myself going back to EV3 when reviewing the car bc that's the car I spend three hours before shooting this 🥲

    Kia EV3 seems like a better car overall compared to even the facelift EV6, with the exception of the peak charging speed. Interested to see the charging performance of EV3.

      Unless you need the bigger car, trunk, cabin room EV6 wins over EV3, the latter sure is a great choice.

    Does the facelift have V2H/V2G capability?

    They still gave this car the cheapest looking trunk and frunk on the market, and still too many hard plastic areas

    This car has nowhere near as much excitement as even the old Ioniq 5.

    The symbol the led headlight creates will be problematic
