@Maximus Samir I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@@ahcgarage watching the video it looks like he put the decal too far to the right. According to the manual the far right notch goes on the edge. If you compare to a factory location the R is too far to the right.
This is so excellent to watch such a clean car being disassembled to be further improved. No one makes content like this. Fun to think this is how it was like in the early 2000's at the typical Acura dealer, the ITR, CL, and NSX being serviced.
Nice as always. At 8:34 the OEM wheel and brakes sure are a snug fit. So nice that you clean all the panels etc...before reinstalling the new pieces. Drives me crazy to see someone install new parts right back over all the dirt and crud.
Nice job guys, great to see Brian pop in and help you out. Love the look of that car and the Phoenix Yellow is a fantastic colour and really pops in the lights. John UK
Mike, love the content. Many R owners including myself, beginning the restoration process. Could you include the part #s into the description of your videos?
alot of dc2 parts are being discontinued now. it has been getting harder and harder, especially the jdm parts. been having one hell of a time finding parts for my rhd itr
@@jasonvincent690 check out restotuner. they are starting to make stuff. mostly stickers and bolt sets for now. but its a start. i picked up a few of their products and they are excellent quality
19:16 I have a new mirror too for my HX, first I have to make it short. Because I'm 6' 3", and the old unmodified one somewhat blocks the view. Hopefully the glue won't fail on the new one.
Per usual very informative content! Can you share what paint/color you used for the break calipers? I want mine to look original and not painted. Thanks!!
Yes, they work really well on them as well. Protects the bumper finish and gives it a distinctive look. You can pick them up along with the adhesion promoter here: acurahondaclassic.com/collections/parts
Watching the application of the Type R stickers stressed me out. I would be too nervous I would screw it up. Fun fact: the stickers for Championship White have a different border versus yellow and black. Always enjoy the content guys! Edit: Are the roof moldings discontinued? I think I will do the belt moldings since they are available.
Are the roof molding and side door molding basically the same on 99 Civic Hatchback? one more question also, my inner door card at the top where the window touches, it has a fuzzy coating on it, the coating is wearing off and getting a sticky residue on the window, do i have to replace the entire dooryard? or is there a part number for just the fuzzy inner weather stripping? Thanks for all you do!
The moldings on Integra are different on the Civic. As for the molding that you described, is it the one sits on top of the door panel (between the door panel and door glass). If so, I assumed you are referring to 99 Civic 3 Door hatchback correct? If both are correct, here's the part number: 72335-S03-003 If you need further assistance, feel free to email us: AcuraHondaClassic@gmail.com

i could watch these OEM+ builds all day. happy everyone these days are restoring instead of trying to track their hondas.
True "Dream Car" for me. A 2001 Type R. Not a 2022 G wagon like all these other TH-camrs
Right on!!
From Obsessed Garage to AHC Garage, loving the OEM+ attention to detail.
Thank you!!

I’m amazed all these parts are still attainable.

He makes the sticker install seem so easy. I’ve been through 3 vtec turbo stickers for my CTR, and it’s still not perfect
Smart move on adding the stripping to the shop, does it work well with the OEM Civic Type R Lip (front and rear) on 99 Hatchback?
