It's quite difficult to wrap my mind around the fact that this gorgeous machine is 20 years old. Truly timeless styling. It still looks WAY better than everything else Honda/Acura is selling today.
@@ahcgarage thanks for the detailed content! I found your channel when looking for a full Spoon bushing kit install review video...know of any like that? Bushing on my car is toast and that's more the avenue I'm leaning versus aftermarket arms.
We have negative experiences when pressing out the original bushings at the front lower control arms. The new bushings do not sit tight at times, all bushing from other companies, not Spoon specifically. We like to replace the front lower control arms with Hardrace Oem style control arm assembly. It comes with stiffer bushing and still retained the Oem look.
@@ahcgarage thank you for your response and sharing your feedback - I'll definitely take that into consideration! Thank you. New to Hondas and the DC2 chassis but it's been fun so far! Just looking to get it refreshed/road legal and then start the learning to grip drive.
Factory Acura and Honda wheels use lugnuts with acorn/ball seat. Aftermarket “tuner” lugnuts are cone style. Never mix the two. There are washers that allow using tuner lugnuts on ball seats.
Koni Sport shocks are legit! I have almost 275,000 miles on mine! I run GSR stock front springs, and ITR stock rear springs, perched on the lowest setting all around. It’s a perfect daily driver setup. I installed those shocks in 2002, ran H&R Sport springs for a couple years, then Ground Control sleeves for a year, then finally settled on the current spring setup in 2005.
That right there is my dream car. Watching you guys gives me that encouragement that everything will into place. with just a little patience, faith & hardwork. You can achieve anything, never stop innovating I will always be here for support. Great Video
5 years ago I sold my 2000 DC2 ITR for less than $10,000 now people are asking $30,000 for the same car here in Australia, I miss that car! and yellow looks amazing on these.
Ive just ordered koni yellows to go with some spoon springs i have. Great to see a video of how easy it is to adjust and set up. I cant wait for them to arrive!
Great episode Mike, I love the phoenix yellow it really stands out in the crowd I sprayed a front wing in this colour a week or so back and it's not a good colour for coverage. This Integra is in really good condition and the paint finish is still like new you wouldn't believe it's a 20 year old car, look forward to the next. John UK
Great work guys! I’ve been watching a lot of your content. You guys are so meticulous. I have an ‘01 ITR with 52K miles. It’s all stock. My front right shock is blown and the Honda shocks are discontinued. You guys can’t source an OEM one for me, can you? 😉 If not, I may have to get some Spoon Sports coils 🤣. One thing I need for my ITR is the yellow covers for the license plate holes in front. OEM parts are getting harder to find!
Front struts are long gone for ITR. We do have a set of Spoon coilover :-) As for the front bumper caps, the original yellow are discontinued. We are planning to do some new cap but repaint them yellow and black. Shoot us an email if you are interested: AcuraHondaClassic@gmail.com

Hi Mike, Continental's grip nice but I find them too noisy. You need to try a set off Good Year F1's, They are very quiet and you can push so hard wet or dry. I have them on my DC5 and on my Suzuki Swift Sport. The Weather here is going to be good today so the DC5 is going out for a Spin!
The inner fender didn’t get rubbed on because the car is lowered. The inner fender most likely came loose and rubbed the tire. I’ve Han lower in a gsr and didn’t rub the fender there, nor did I come close to..
Nice Type R, it's a rare gem! I'd like to ask Mike where can I source a good used OEM passenger side headlight assembly, mine 1998 4 door GS has water inside can't get rid of it. I know there are Dorman brand and other cheap crap. Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately OEM headlight has been discontinued for over 2 years. Used and aftermarket are the only option. As for the aftermarket, we recommend these headlights.
