Worst thing about him is the lack of unique music and the the charge attack hitting twice sometimes, making its damage very inconsistent Other than that, very fair fight and good fight
I'm not very good at Souls. Though, I have nurtured my ego and honed my skill enough to be able to declare I am not blatantly dog water either. Just moderately bad. But these bosses are wack. Amongst my small group of those I call close friends- we use the term dance. Ludwig was "A's" dance and Gael was "D's" dance. I was really hoping Elden Ring would give me my dance, my first S teir bossfight, my ultimate actually fun challange. This game just did not deliver. I got a bunch of delayed attacks and gimmick fights. I mean if that floats your boat that's fine, but only one of the bosses in the entire game actually made me want to pick up the controller again to fight it. I spend between two and eight days- you can guess who took eight days, on each boss to learn them, investigate their lore through items and locations, hear their music. . . and in reponse they either kill me with ridiculous AOE damage laser beams or use the slowest charge attack I've ever seen to almost garentee hit you unless you perfect dodge. Its fine, but just disappointing. Putrescent Knight was the only bossfight I had genuine fun on in the entire game I think- and he didn't last particularly long enough to enjoy fully.
I don't really know what to say here besides git gud. They all are dances, just requires more patience and skill from the player than previous titles. You actually have to learn bosses now instead of reaction roll everything. If you can't do it it's on you.

PS. In my full boss list, tiers F-B are full of non-remembrance bosses so that's why they're empty on this particular list. This game just has such high-quality remembrance bosses :)
Consort Radahn is your top 1 is big W 🙌
… I’m sorry, why is metyr not in F minus??
Renalla after Godrick?
Commander Gaius being the only boss in F-tier is so true
Bro he’s a good boss, it’s just the charge (which you can easily dodge on light load). He is actually really fun to fight once you know his moveset.
@@wallyrus104I agree that hes not as bad as everyone says he is but him being able to hit you twice with one attack is very broken. They also should make the charge hitbox smaller as it requires actual perfect timing just to dodge it and its pretty unclear when you have to dodge. Other than those two things, hes pretty good
@@burntivoryking it’s fine on medium loaf but I agree they need to fix his overlapping hit boxes
@@wallyrus104This overlapping hitboxes sometimes occurs in the Scadutree Avatar boss too. Its thorn eruptions can sometimes hit you twice, and if it triggers the bleed too then it’s curtains.
@@wallyrus104 how is he a good boss if you're admitting his charge attack is bullshit?
I don’t think it is pronounced “meedra”
you could like.... block gaius charge with a shield
Commander Gaius is easily a top 10 ER boss, idc what anyone says. The Gaius hate is born purely out of (and I absolutely despise this phrase) skill issue
Fr i love this guy, u just need to have decent vigor and decent shadowfragment level and he is super fun to fight
for real... as light load enjoyer I absolutely love Gaius ... I can dodge the charge consistently since I usually use light load and his moveset is just fun ... sure he lacks presentation and that visual "wow" of remembrance bosses but mechanically he is really really fun
Same. Love this guy
Worst thing about him is the lack of unique music and the the charge attack hitting twice sometimes, making its damage very inconsistent
Other than that, very fair fight and good fight
@@artik8885 I beat him on level 1 no blessing and he was really fun
Glad i fought both starscourge radahn and consort radahn pre patch
The Fire Giant criticisms make absolutely no sense.
