Wow great video .At 12.06 the silver with red flames 34 Ford coupe is a aussie car It has been on the road for a while now and it still looks great. i really like the A model gasser coupe at 1305 and the grey 32 vicky at 1700 probably my favourites. The best video I've ever seen of 'The Nats'... well done, but please leave the cheesy music next time. We were there, but it's like the Texas State Fair, ya just can't see it all. The Nats just needs more Griswold station wagons and late model 4x4 pickups. {eye roll}
If you have a 40 or a car with a body style like it you can put up your trunk and sit in a lawn chair under it we were doing that at nationals this year
I have plenty of vehicles so why would I need another car? I know why they allow the late model stuff but they are not Street Rods and I believe that somewhere in the initials NSRA is the Street Rod name!!!!
some real nice rods there..we have been to the US many times to the drags and notice how many people bring golf buggies with them... do americans not walk any where ??
Jim Mac; The drags are usually 1/4 mile long but that can get tiring after many hours in the sun, and if you go to a NSRA Nationals event you are talking about a huge exposition area of miles in each direction, again in the sun. 40 years ago I was able to spend arduous days at the Nationals on foot, or moving my Popular around. Now I am disabled and am trying to figure out how to go to another huge event and cover the ground. And I hope you can back and come down also to the huge Turkey Trot Meets and others at the Daytona Racetrack. But consider that the whole area in and around the 2 1/2 mile track is packed with many rows upon rows of everything automotive as far as you can see in any direction, and you will have the opportunity to walk and understand.
Most every wheel nowadays I.e foose, us mags, ridler etc are made in China. Billet specialties,weld racing and rc components are probably the last few American made wheel companies
What a shame they let in all those late models rust holes and all. I went to the 1st Nats in Peoria a quit going when they stagnated in KY. I thought about attending this one as it was the 50th and I still drive the same car I drove to all the other Nats. I attended, but after seeing this video No Thanks!!!!!!

It's a massive show. I want to build my own hotrod so bad now.
There is a lot i want too do me and my dad(im 16 btw) have this 56 we are working on too hopefully get it trustable enough to go that long of distance

There were plenty of people doing burnouts outside the gates in front of the hotels. Trust me even the cops weren't harassing anyone about it.
