The Black and Copper COE at 4:57 was built in Manitoba Canada by my son's high school buddy's shop and was driven 2400 miles to the SEMA show. Fantastic job guys.
That truck and Voodoo Ride were the most interesting in this video for me. Do you know if they filmed/documented the build? Would love to see something like that on TH-cam.
Just watched this 5 year old video, not realizing that it was filmed just down the street. Kenny is a friend of mine, but he is no longer at that location. Bummer. It was a cool place. Lots of really cool rides here, as well.
Yeah Kenny is a good dude my name is also Kenny I do believe his shop is still around it's just in a different location he might be in Kingman area I don't really remember I have them on Facebook though if you want to get in touch with them I can arrange that
@RodderFiles Kenny was working out of the H.E.M. building nearby his old shop. He was teaching high school students how to build hot rods. I usually see him at the Fun Run, but I didn't see him there this year. He goes to Journey Church if you're local. They have had car shows at the church parking lot. There's always a car show going on somewhere in Kingman.
I wish we could see more of the American made Classics Orphan Cars at these shows. Nash, Studebaker, Rambler, Packard's, many into Classics have no idea the great old cars like the Hudson's and many of the long gone by great vehicles.
sorry wish i could show everything and yes i went to AZ just to see the 3 big rides the yellow was from south Africa the orange and black coe from Alberta Canada and the green and white came out from Belgium
Lanny martindale is a good buddy and his team canada build for 2019 is off the hook! This man does things to vehicles that are in a seperate class. Go lanny! oxbow saskatchewan
Thanks for bringing the show to us very cool idea's that people have. I guessing all the car's truck's that drove in are street legal that's way COOL not just for show but to drive also.
not always the same place , but the week of Las Vegas Rat City Rukkus is when this goes Down from AZ to LV most my Rat Vids are based from this week the last 5 yrs
Well lets break this down a minute.. the Truck featured in the thumbnail was all the way from Canada, the Giant yellow rig was in all the way from South Africa, and the other featured ride ride was the white and green rig of Cobblestone Customs they shipped this one out all the way from Belgium... So how again are our rides so Nuts..hrmm....
@@RodderFiles Oh sorry, I saw these Rods and assumed that they were american, my bad ;) I watched a few Videos about old American Cars before too, so this might be another reason why I thought that.
wild selection. There were two I didn't get. A 50 something Chevy truck, and the 57 chevy bel aire ... they looked like they only had some of the paint purposely removed is all. I dislike when paint looks purposely distressed. The whole trick to that is if you're gonna purposely distress it, it has to look like it was found that way, like nature and her minions did it. I don't know about 57's as rats anyway, they just don't lend themselves to the look. 57 chevys always look rather elegant even when the paint is shot and they're crusty. The thing I do like about real rat rods is the ingenious use of materials that are not actually car parts, or belong to other cars and are cut and shaped to be something different.
@@RodderFiles Yeah, there's something about old COE"s that I love, fixed up or not. I don't know what it is, but they're so cool. A bit tough to drive in original condition. Many of the really old ones you had to double clutch, no syncro's in the tranny, no power steering or power assist brakes, and they were drum brakes to boot. Rebuilding them to more modern standards makes them infinitely more functional. I don't mean all the electronic crap though, I think the electronics are going to be the death nell of cars and trucks as we know them. Sensors quit for no known cause.
@@bigredc222 well, I could see your point, tho I'm not in love with gassers, at least it would be cool looking. I like tri fives done like all the way, or not touched at all except for what is needed to make them go and be reasonably safe. (decent brakes, ect.) I like the lesser 57's done kinda rough, but the bel aires should be done all the way to pristine (yet modernized to a degree) I'm kind of a rest rod guy really. I may have found my next set of wheels today. It's a 71 Dart, 318 with hurst shift package, completely done all the way, good bucket seats, every inch of it is done already. IF I can come to terms on the price with the seller, it may be mine. You won't believe the asking price... 15 9 Although I can see why, it must have cost way more than that to redo, tho the current seller is not the one that restored it. Its often less expensive to find them all ready done, then add the things you want, than starting from scratch. The body on this thing is straight... I mean perfectly straight. Next time I go look at it, I've got to remember to take a magnet, to see how much of that is bondo. All I can say is either the metal was already very straight, or whoever did the work is really good at sculpting bondo. Oh, it's red and black of course.
@@tootall5559 What was that car, maybe three grand new, it's pretty hard to recoup the money for a full restoration, unless the car is very special, sounds like a good deal. Kids today don't know how good they have it, we had to learn to drive with those old suspensions and bias-ply tires squealing around curves. Good luck
I love when guys drive there builds instead of shipping out on a trailer. Nice rides!!
Thanks for checking it out
Those COEs were the stars of that gathering, IMHO. Would like to see a video of their builds, if it exists.
search facebook ratrod504 and rat rod addictions page or just wait a week there will be tons of vids on them after sema

So exactly what kind of truck is that and where/what body did they use?
That truck and Voodoo Ride were the most interesting in this video for me. Do you know if they filmed/documented the build? Would love to see something like that on TH-cam.
Oh shit you know Tyler???
Is it just me or was that truck inspired by Smokey and the bandit rig ?

The 2 COE’s were the showstoppers. Loved to have seen the interior of the Ford.
