Whoohoo! Just found out Everlast can sell ck torches. Gonna pick me up a water cooler and a CK flex loc for some extra awesome sauce! Thanks Jody for introducing me to such a cool torch!
thanks jody, its not offten you will come across people like yourself. dedicating your time to make videos and sharing with us while i asume your running a buisness aswell. inpiration to us all. thanks
Nicely done. I traded in my 17 flex head for the flex loc and I'm not going back. I've got 4 heads, with different size tungstens already to go. Great Torch!
Hi what was the black flexible lead used with the flexloc in the clip? i've looked at the super flex but the lead on the clip looks well and truly good enough to use and i think it wouldn't look dirty like the red super flex in grubby workshop environment.
I'm blown away that the filler rod doesn't ball up on you. That last shot weaving in a pass it looks like a heck of a torch angle and the arc is pointing RIGHT at that filler rod. It sure as hell balls up on me all the time!
Gidday Jody Awesome Video! Thx for Sharing technique and solid products that are useful in the field. I always learn so much from you when you show body/hand/prop techniques! This Stuff is Priceless! Cheers to the Internets Welding God!
I've been using one since last year, and I love it! I've been doing more motorcycle fabrication, and it makes all the weird angles and positions so much easier to deal with. I am going to have to link this video everywhere! Thanks for the best videos!
I wanted to buy the flex lock #9 no gas valve 12" super flex hose from your store but you didn't have that exact torch. I did buy all my accessories from the store. That's my vote to stock. I like the 17 version of that exact same set up. Appreciate the videos and I will continue to support in any way I can. Merry Christmas and take care
haha thank you tyler ward335 im a boilermaker too and im glad you said that! im pretty sure i would get run off if i tried to walk to cup on a tube test or in the field. But another great video jody its always a pleasure to learn from you.
Absolutely amazing! Jody makes those small diameter pipe joints and inside corner joints looks easy, but they are some of the hardest to do. He must wake up in the morning and piss pure excellence. I definitely need one of those CK flex torches for making some small racing parts, highly concentrated pure awesome sauce.
Boilermakers try to every chance they get...lol. Im looking at this torch or a positioner. Ive got a basic torch that came with it when i bought it from a welding school that closed, it works but its seen better days. p.s. your the man Jody.
This is awesome!! Have you ever tried to do metal core MIG?? I recently took a weld test with metal core.. I passed my visual test but unfortunately I failed the bend test.. Help!!
Metal core is replacing flux core in structural steel applications for air quality reasons. It is a superior process but needs to be welded extremely hot. Like spray transfer hot. Keep an eye on your inter-pass temp and keep trying you'll get it. Oh, and don't weld vertical down if you can avoid it, you might run into cold lap.
i have a miller Dialarc hf gas cooled, 2 line, Can you help me with a part number that i could order a 25'ft flexloc torch? i also like that super kit of cups you had..
Great video of the square tubing welding. Really liked the flexibility shown on the TIG leads. Just curious....was there ever any consideration of doing exterior plug welds instead of that internal (infernal) TIG inside the tubing?
+BrownParticles im in the same predicament you are, except i will get a powertig 250ex. so my two cents might help you: i decided to get a 17, because as jody said in the video, the 17 has a nice flexible cable, unless you plan on doing structural work where the 50 amps will 100% be needed, i personally think the 17 is better, because on the 26 the lead is like a damn garden hose. so yeah, i will get the 17 with stubby gas lens, but idk what other people reccomend
I've dragged the nozzle on some overhead stuff.. I think it depends on your nozzle and the width of your bead. Also, some nozzles are crap and loose fitting and tend to wobble all over. I should have tried it while I was in class. I think it could work fine, even if you had to pull the nozzle out a little so you had a proper distance from contact tip to work piece. Someone should make a video lol
Reaper light, cut off a bit 1.5 from bottom so it don't bottom out on you and it's great of course replace with auto darkening if that's you're preference
I think it would be pretty easy to adapt to a 330 abp tig unit using a water power block.

I've been using my flex loc for about 2 years, i really put it through hell and it's still the best torch ive ever purchased. it's my big money maker.

As someone that is new to tig welding, your videos are always very informative and helpful. Thanks
Your the best Jody. That's why I support the channel and store. Merry Christmas to you and your family
Just like a cell phone, how did we ever live without it?

I picked up my CK flexloc when I purchased my Everlast 250EX. Excellent pairing IMHO.

p.s. your the man Jody.
Thanks for sharing...I always find some useful info in your videos.
bought this thing and freaking love it I don't want to ever go back to a flex head if I can help it.
I put a CK torch on my Everlast and I love the combination. CK rocks.
This is awesome!! Have you ever tried to do metal core MIG?? I recently took a weld test with metal core.. I passed my visual test but unfortunately I failed the bend test.. Help!!
Looks good. The standard angle tig torch certainly needed improvement.
I picked up one of these bad boys when I bought my welder from everlast. Great torch.
Tig welding looks like fun. Is it hard to learn?
Thanks a lot Jody. Now I have to get one of these great torches for my everlast welder. LOL
my bad. you are right..Boilermakers usually dont have space to walk the cup.
Damn, this is quite an impressive torch.
Got my new flex loc today, its pretty cool.

As always, great information!! Where did you purchase?
With regards to walking the cup in TIG, can you "walk the nozzle" when MIG welding?
Great videos!
Good idea..plugs welds would have been an option with approval from the customer. but the drawings called for welds as shown.
i love ya vids and you have great skills.
but with the rhs and the strengthening plate, why didnt you guys just drill and plug weld it?
It looks like the air cooled torch is the version with a gas valve on it. Is that correct?
i have a miller Dialarc hf gas cooled, 2 line, Can you help me with a part number that i could order a 25'ft flexloc torch? i also like that super kit of cups you had..
I see how well the flex loc works on small stuff and tuff angles but would it be useful on large pipe, say from 4” and larger?
Great video of the square tubing welding. Really liked the flexibility shown on the TIG leads.
Just curious....was there ever any consideration of doing exterior plug welds instead of that internal (infernal) TIG inside the tubing?
as usual great video jody. thanks a lot.
Good work as usual, thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge, very generous of you! Wish my shop would buy one of those flex locs for me lol!
hi, I'm curious... I have a tweco 211i fabricator, I'm interested in getting the ck flex tec 150 torch... is it compatible?
I seen you using the weldtec i-Head. Which one do you like better?
What's your personal opinion of this torch vs Weldtec i-torch Roto head?
Jody, I'm using that same 200dx. Recommend a 17 or a 26 trim line for it (air).
+Noah Herczeg I picked up a ck17 flexible hose. I'm glad I did so; saved 50 bucks or so.

Well , will this torch fit up to the standardized parts Collet body , collet, cup , end caps . if not that will make it more costly ;
louis t yes takes standard parts I run this torch on Lincoln 275 precision tig and a syncrowave 250 Great torch
I have GOT to get into TIG!!!
Great video but, BOILERMAKERS DONT WALK THE CUP! i wonder how much trouble it would be to use one with my 330 abp.
. . . AND PRODUCER-WRITER-DIRECTOR-CAMERAMAN-COLOR COMMENTATOR!
@weldingtipsandtricks
Does CK have an air cooled flex lock torch?
Very innovative concept
I like these product videos.
Always learn you video mike
that is a sweet torch.
dream to have dynasty welder... even used one... in Poland it means all money from 6 month work only for welder...
You are the Man!!
just bought a pro fax because it is a more heavy duty flex head wish I knew about this dam thing soon
why do so many of the pipe welders use the fibre pipeliner helmets?
Reaper light, cut off a bit 1.5 from bottom so it don't bottom out on you and it's great of course replace with auto darkening if that's you're preference
cool!
some pressure welders do.
one more thing to add to the already long list
Probably spec'd out by an engineer......who thought that plug welds were only used when you wanted to plug up the end of a pipe or something.......
