Thanks for posting this. It's really helpful for those of us looking into making Mixed Reality to see how others solve the problems. I enjoy these peeks behind the scenes . . . more more more!
I got my hands on 2 TPcast and all I can say is WOW!!! I used to have the MIS VR backpacks and always was trying to fina a better cable solution, and finally it's here!
Virtual Gamesterz wow niice! INdeed TPCAST is soooo much better than wired VR. Only been playing some hour so far with TPCAST but already in love :) awesome stuff! Cheers mate and sorry my late reply!
You forgot to explain the most important part: How do you negotiate with your partner so she allows you to do this? Do we have to promise a trip to Cancun in exchange?
Sumatra Animator hahahaha thats a very good question mate! The simple answer is: I could have a VR room and she could buy 2 kittens ;) that was the deal, lol
Hehehe, the video started well, I panicked with the structure of your studio ... very good to your assembly !! Very creative! People, sure enough, were curious to know where your reviews were made. We now know that with little investment and some creativity we can enter the world of mixed reality.
James Marchiori haha yeah I hopefully fooled you all :) I wish I had a big studio but its impossible for the moment. Our flat is only 3 rooms so im glad i can use 1 small room dedicated for VR at least :) its so small but its working anyway! Btw im really sorry for responding so slow lately, really had some busy times the past week.. hope you are doing well James :) Any new MR videos lately?Cheers
Keep the work man, you are one of the bests of the youtube, you do it with so much passion, its very nice to see your videos PS: When i start to follow you, you don't have green screen, and i still like your work :D
Murillo Elefanti Wow thank you so much mate, I highly appreciate that and Im so happy you are still here :) I love doing this, and it gives me so much fun! Sorry my late responses lately btw, been so terribly busy.. cheers mate and have a great week! :)
i came here when you do the first Doom BFG impressions, and i think "This guy has a point, i sill subscribe" hahaha and its one the most right things i do on the youtube, now its just grow up, because you are a nice and good guy, thank you for the response, i know you have lot of work to do, but i know you do the better you can to keep your Channel
Epyx911 Thank you so much mate, and sorry for my late response, been so bust lately.. :) Love your channel as well, im maybe not that active in commenting but I watch a lot of your videos! Cheers
Helixxvr Thanks a lot mate, im happy you liked it :) yeah just too much work and stuff lately. It took me 10 days to even unbox the Rift... and 6 days to reply to your comment.. im sorry for that ;) Cheers!
So if you covered the rest of the room in green, and mounted the MR camera over your shoulder, you could film your playthrough as if it was a third person game? I never knew that camera was tracked through the lighthouses, I thought you just input its location somewhere... But this makes it mobile, which could be interesting.
Can you provide a link to the the tips on how to make a small green screen look bigger. I only have room for small space and want to have that wide view that games like Beat Saber provide.
Toni L. Nice, im glad to help out a little, good luck! Haha nah, i use the second mouse occasionally only when I cant reach the wired mouse ;) cheers and sorry my late reply!
Please, please, please . . . it would be great if you showed us a video of your actual Mixed Reality video production and editing process with a short clip. It would be very helpful for quite a few of us and very interesting to many.
Brian David Phillips its coming soon mate, i have been planning it for long time now but been so busy with games and all stuff lately :) I promise I will finish it soon!
Gus Miller thanks mate, Im glad you enjoyed it :) That DELL monitor is just awesome, love editing in 4k! Sorry my late reply btw, been quite busy.. cheers
question, can you please do a step by step tutorial of how to actually install the green screen? i plan to make a complete cube out of green screen curtains but i would like some assistance please
Great video. I'm still a little confused as to why you have the controller on the camera and then put yourself as a small image on the bottom of the screen. I thought putting the controller on the camera was to make it look like you are part of the game in full size.
Thanks mate :) Well, I have done a lot of videos in Mixed Reality with the green screen, but all games doesnt support Mixed Reality view, so thats why I only put myself in a corner in those games :) Check out my Mixed Reality playlist: th-cam.com/play/PL8nWC3vrhr3Awxy7HFznWQ0ScYVbDqXge.html
Hey man love your set up looks great, I’ve recently moved home now I have a room just for vr, got myself a nice green screen set up, pretty much mastered mixed realty videos, but now I want to move on to attaching a controller to my camera so can change the angle during gameplay, not got a third controller yet but will do soon, I’m just not sure how to set it all up? I currently use the virtual camera method, I’m assuming using a real third controller is similar. So would I fix the controller to the camera (controller is connected to pc) then align it the same way I usually do, which is using the vivr app in steam to sync it all up and save the cfg values and add them into the game folder, once done should be able to pick camera up and move it around?? Sound about right? Sorry for long message
Hey SweViver, what do you think about this purchase? www.amazon.es/Fotografia-Muselina-Paraguas-iluminaci%C3%B3n-fotogr%C3%A1fico/dp/B012Z0QQIC/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1501665142&sr=8-8&keywords=chroma+verde Thanks!
Thanks soooo much for that video SweViver! Sharing this info really helps the spread of vr/mr and helps the average joe create great content! Simple solutions for quality videos! I was wondering what those clips you used were? I've never seen them before. Anyways, thanks again!! Keep up the good work! :D
LawOfIdentity cheers mate, im happy u found it useful :) Indeed the setup is very simple but we dont need more than this to create Mixed Reality so I hope more people get inspired:) Well u mean those bigger clips? They are usually sold to mount cleaning accessories on the walls. You could probably find something like this in some bigger home accessory store :)
Nice video, really useful! But could you perhaps give links to the items you're using? I've found the background fabric easily enough, but the floor panels I haven't been able to find, nor any tension poles (except for the ones that you use in bathrooms for the curtains). Any help there would be much appreciated! :)
Tako Schotanus thank you so much mate and sorry for my late reply! :) Here is the direct link to the green screen floor: www.softfloor.co.uk/chroma-green-flooring.shtml The tension poles you can probably find in some home-build store, they are commonly used to tension stuff while building walls/ceilings. I just found them in a local store for 10 bucks each, expandable up to 2.6 metres or something like that :) hope it helps! Cheers
Oh and another question: what camera are you using? :) Right now I'm still using a webcam which obviously isn't an ideal solution, but at least it makes it easy to get the feed into the computer. You are using a camera + capture card I guess? Any details you could give on both of them? (To have an idea of what works)
I've been doing Beat Saber mixed reality with LIV software. LIV makes the software side of things dead simple and as far as hardware, I have a 9ft x 15ft green screen attached to the top of a projector screen, a couple of makeshift softbox lamps I made from worklights covered in shower curtain material, and a Canon EOS SL1 for my camera. Everything works great except for the camera which outputs a letterboxed image and shuts off every 30 minutes.
Dude, that seems like so much work :p Props for keeping this up! DO you have to re-calibrate the mixed reality camera settings, or does using a controller on the camera completely remove that? :o
Andreas Aronsson thanks mate and sorry for my late reply! Well once u setup the camera to the controller and calibrate it should work fine every time. But small adjustments needs to be made quite often to be honest, probably because everything is moving some millimeter from time to time. Or maybe its a lighthouse tracking issue, but im recalibrate quite often just to get it perfect, or as good as possible :)
Welcome to my VR Man Cave - a Green Screen Studio Setup on budget for making Mixed Reality videos! Do you have any questions about my Mixed Reality green screen setup? Are you planning to build your own green screen room, for a reasonable price and making it not too complicated? Well, hit me with questions, your thoughts and feedback in the comments below, and I would love to give you some answers as soon as I can! Cheers guys :)
SweViver good, I saw a video of your gameplay a week ago and since then, a subscriber and following your VR updates. Will try to find you on steam so maybe we can play multiplayer someday. Keep up the good work man.. cheers
How did you u (what device) physically attach the camera & tracker to the camera? *Also, can you post tutorial video to setup MR with both the tracker & 3rd controller. 1)Tracking the cfg, 2)OBS setup & 3)video edit process will be greatly appreciated!!!
Hopefully your channel will grow and you will be able to afford a bigger house n room dedicated for Mixed Reality and not forgetting a room with a nice sofa for you girl friend :)
DutcH Montana haha one day maybe ;) I really look forward to throw away that sofa! Thank you so much btw, and sorry my late replies lately... cheers man
Still waiting for you to give us a tutorial on how you create your vr content for people like me who want to start doing same at home but have no clue how to
the mats plus the green screen, plus the poles, would cost as much as the vr headset here in denmark. and that is with using the cheapest options and ordering most stuff from china.
The future of vr wont be big clunky head-sets, it will be a pair of glasses, possibly transparent when turned off, and a pair of gloves instead of controllers. Long live VR. :)
Hey man, I really like your videos! I just think if you made them shorter you would get more views. For example, you pretty much said "goodbye this video is over" at 14:25 and then the video lasts 2:34 minutes longer. I personally got bored
Ignacio Cozza thanks mate, I appreciate your feedback as it really helps me to improve! Yeah i know i talk way too much hehe, I will try my best to keep it shorter next times :) I appreciate your input! Thanks again!
Coal Younger thank you so much mate, Im so happy you like my content :) There are many bigger and better VR youtubers than me but Im glad you enjoy my little videos :) Btw sorry my late replies lately... cheers

SweViver i cannot find the tension poles on your list or on google. Do you have a better name?
@@madshobye Yeah cheapest I seen on Amazon is a ROd that is 40 dollars each
Thanks for posting this. It's really helpful for those of us looking into making Mixed Reality to see how others solve the problems. I enjoy these peeks behind the scenes . . . more more more!
Brian David Phillips thanks mate, i will update with more + my MR tutorial soon as well :) Cheers
Thanks for showing us behind the green door, I mean screen. keep it coming my friend.
I promise I will, thanks mate! :)

Haha awesome SweViver, greenscreen is nice but the mixed vr you do is even better.
Epyx911 Thank you so much mate, and sorry for my late response, been so bust lately.. :) Love your channel as well, im maybe not that active in commenting but I watch a lot of your videos! Cheers

+The Lonely Viper thanks mate :)
Great job setting up your room :) nice video
Very nice, thank you for talking the time to show us.
I can't seem to find a tension pole for only $10. Do you remember where you bought it? I already checked your setup list.
Really good video do you have a link for the green screen floor thanks
Nice video. It is really interesting to see how you've set it all up.
I'd hate to be too busy to even unbox the Oculus!
Helixxvr Thanks a lot mate, im happy you liked it :) yeah just too much work and stuff lately. It took me 10 days to even unbox the Rift... and 6 days to reply to your comment.. im sorry for that ;) Cheers!
What is the secret hardware!!!
This is the most green screen studio ever
Great video!! Its so fun seeing the different techniques and ideas!
Man Vs VR thanks mate and sorry for my late reply, busy days lately... cheers and keep up! Love your videos :)
Hey martin can you please make an updated guide including what Equipment and software is needed to record mixed reality (with LIV)? thanks in advance.
I enjoyed this video. Keep it up SweRifter... errr... SweViver
VR Spry Guy Im glad to hear that mate, thanks! :) SweViveRifter lol
Hey, do you have an amazon link for the support pole ? trying to find them, nice setup by the way :)
Really cool looking setup! :) Only thing you need now (And every VR user including myself), is an even bigger playspace
MrWoodenSheep oh yeah a bigger VR room in future is still my dream ;) Cheers mate and thanks a lot!
So if you covered the rest of the room in green, and mounted the MR camera over your shoulder, you could film your playthrough as if it was a third person game? I never knew that camera was tracked through the lighthouses, I thought you just input its location somewhere... But this makes it mobile, which could be interesting.
Paul Gorokhov theoretically yes, but for me thats quite impossible to cover everything in green, at least in my little room hehe.. ;)
Can you provide a link to the the tips on how to make a small green screen look bigger. I only have room for small space and want to have that wide view that games like Beat Saber provide.
Interesting video, I found it very useful to take some decisions about some equipment I'm interested on. Good job.
two mice?
virzoom?
Toni L. Nice, im glad to help out a little, good luck! Haha nah, i use the second mouse occasionally only when I cant reach the wired mouse ;) cheers and sorry my late reply!
Hey martin can you do an updated guide on how to record mixed reality with the easier and better LIV client?
I need it for my windows.
Wow you are a pro youtuber
Plank Tonn haha nah not really, but I love doing this and its quite addictive to be honest ;) Cheers mate!
Looks awesome mate. One of my monitors is the same 4k screen you have :) You have all the gear. Thanks for sharing mate. It was interesting. Cheers :)
Gus Miller thanks mate, Im glad you enjoyed it :) That DELL monitor is just awesome, love editing in 4k! Sorry my late reply btw, been quite busy.. cheers
Aye a man cave indeed
Thanks for your insights, some good advice.
Question, where can we buy the tension poles?
this is great. other sites had me thinking i needed thousands of dollars!
I'm guessing you've got a TPCast coming!
What is the fastest way to program the third controller into the camera for mixed reality?
Late to the Show just plug it in with USB and use TribalInstincts tool for the calibration :) Check out his MR tutorial videos, they are awesome!
question, can you please do a step by step tutorial of how to actually install the green screen? i plan to make a complete cube out of green screen curtains but i would like some assistance please

What's the amazon link to the tension poles
Cant find the exactly same one, but this seems to be similar: amzn.to/2HqnBIK
And make sure to chose the one with max lenght that reaches all the way between the floor and the ceiling :)
Thanks for the quick response. I just cleared out my office and about to set it all up. I'm using the free Liv vr software, it seems to be set up.
Awesome, good luck mate and have fun! :)
Do you have a link for the poles?
Eek my ocd ;) would tell me to just stick a bit of suitable masking tape behind that rip to tidy it up before it possibly gets bigger.
MeoithTheSecond thats a good idea actually, thanks mate I will do that :) and sorry my late reply btw... cheers
how do you get the back ground b roll for a video like velvet revolver come on come in?
Great vid and thanks for sharing us your man cave and equiqment!!!
Hi thanks for the vid! One question do you use any external video card? Or do you only use the one from your computer?
Hey man love your set up looks great, I’ve recently moved home now I have a room just for vr, got myself a nice green screen set up, pretty much mastered mixed realty videos, but now I want to move on to attaching a controller to my camera so can change the angle during gameplay, not got a third controller yet but will do soon, I’m just not sure how to set it all up? What program do you use to align your points for the externalcamera.cfg file?
Nice Setup ;-) Thumps up what kind of VR Videos you made with it...... Love your videos !

Thx for this insight of your workspace. Quit impressive.
For your answer. The TPCCast could be a promising guess?
Thanks soooo much for that video SweViver! Sharing this info really helps the spread of vr/mr and helps the average joe create great content! Simple solutions for quality videos! How can you hide the wires
Use a green sleeve for the cables :)
Hi, could you please share the camera models please. Thanks in advance
+aethelfrith i use my old Sony PJ810/820 :) its not fancy but works great for MR!
I've been doing Beat Saber mixed reality with LIV software. SweViver hey man, nice video... want to ask you about the software that you are using for editing.
Aqeel Rash hey mate :) sorry my late response, been so busy lately... i use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing since a few months ago :) Cheers
SweViver good, I saw a video of your gameplay a week ago and since then, a subscriber and following your VR updates. Will try to find you on steam so maybe we can play multiplayer someday. Keep up the good work man.. cheers

VR hardware so you will get the knuckle controllers? :)
ps great setup! Love the studio you made.
No Knuckles yet unfortunately ;) Thanks a lot mate, its a simple setup but it just works :)
Still waiting for you to give us a tutorial on how you create your vr content for people like me who want to start doing same at home but have no clue how to
what that for ?
the mats plus the green screen, plus the poles, would cost as much as the vr headset here in denmark. and that is with using the cheapest options and ordering most stuff from china.
Yeah VR and Youtubing is not cheap hobbies ;)
And I live in Sweden, which is even more expensive than Denmark in many ways hehe...
But hey its a fun hobby ;)
so much yeah.. and so helpful for my mental health... :D
The future of vr wont be big clunky head-sets, it will be a pair of glasses, possibly transparent when turned off, and a pair of gloves instead of controllers. Long live VR. :)
Sox GoPro i hope so as well :) Time will tell, but until then lets enjoy VR for what it is today :) Cheers mate
Why not just paint the room green?
SpaceTimeVR my girlfriend would kill me ;)
Didn't show the software side
lol I just sent you a question about this like an hour ago hahahahaha, to funny..
Virtual Gamesterz haha perfect timing! :) hope u enjoyed! Sorry my late reply btw, busy times.. cheers
Rn only quality stuff I'm seeing for vive is from Node and u.
Coal Younger thank you so much mate, Im so happy you like my content :) There are many bigger and better VR youtubers than me but Im glad you enjoy my little videos :) Btw sorry my late replies lately... cheers
Jag tänkte väll att du var svensk
Man hör det lite lite på din engelska
