    I love the tip with doing the deep conditioning first. It is definitely annoying doing it after and waiting in my towel and scrolling on social media lol. This method makes wayyy more sense.

    TRUTH!! At times, I deep condition first, then shampoo and I will follow up with a quick rinse out conditioner afterwards.

  • @pragooutube

    I'm so doing this now! So I'll replace my prepoo step with deep conditioning, then focus on just rinsing out only the scalp for the first shampoo step, then for the second shampoo step, rinse out the entire hair from the conditioner (thereby protecting my stands from getting too stripped from all my shampoo steps- i usually shampoo 3x). I will then shampoo the lengths of my hair for the third shampoo. And since I've heard that the ph of shampoo is more alkaline to lift your cuticles, while conditioner is more acid to close them- no worries- i use a leave in conditioner that can actually double as a deep conditioner (or vice versa), eg Profectiv Mega Strengthener leave in. But this is applied, as per usual, after i come out of the bathroom and towel dry my hair, whilst i twist it in my hairstyle for the week. After my hair is twisted up with the leave in/ deep conditioner, and sealed, i baggie it and give it heat to amp up the moisture. But this time there's no need to stress- all my steps are already done! No going back into the shower to rinse nothing! Styling already done! Double moisture for half the hassle! Yes, please! 😅

    Such a great idea because I'd been just using my deep conditioning treatments like a standard conditioner. I'd been washing it out after a couple of minutes. Which defeats the purpose of a deep conditioner. Now I can just put it on first and leave it on for the correct amount of time. Thanks for this video! 😁

      Deep conditioner efficacy is nothing about hair being ‘stripped bare’ it’s about your cuticles being open to take in the moisture from the dc. Once heat is used to open those cuticles, it really does not matter.

    I have a removable shower head- so going back in the shower is unnecessary. I deep treat every time I wash but I apply it after shampooing. Then I sit with deep treatment under a heating cap for 20 min then I detangle with deep treatment in and rinse it out with head only in the shower upside down and then apply an herbal tea rinse.

    I am getting ready to come out of a 2 month crochet hair do so should I DC since my hair has a lot of build up on it or should I DC after the wash and then start DC before wash. Thank you LaChanda

    • @sabrinaclarkkent8660
      @sabrinaclarkkent8660 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      LaChanda Jones I would DC before washing just as long as u spray ur hair w/ warm water b4 starting and bag it up to hold in the heat after applying product. Since I’ve started doing this I find it actually doubles as DC/pre poo so my wash days are shorter. I’ve been doing this for over a year and found that I don’t even need to detangle after washing nowadays
