@@DiscoveringNatural I use to deep condition before but it was for detangling purposes. But now, I deep condition after because I detangle with oil first & sometimes turn it into a hot oil treatment & deep condition after I wash that out. Also, your husband & you are so cute 😁 🖤..

I really dont think it matters whether you deep condition before or after. If you do choose to dc before be sure to use warm water first to open the cuticle so that all the nutrients are received. I've had success both ways.

I agree, but my hair was so dehydrated I used Cholesterol as a prepoo to soften it before shampooing.

It's like putting on lotion and then taking a bath, while expecting your skin to still be soft and moisturized. It doesn't make any sense

I deep condition and detangle my baby’s hair before washing but I try and stay away from shampoos and use cleansing conditioners every now and then I will go in with diluted shampoo because she’s low porosity and this way her routine is cut short and there’s not much crying she’s now three and hoping to change this in the summer

"I'm a deep conditioner hog"...I felt that! I deep condition before with a hair mask and oil. It makes shampooing easier for me, then I condition or deep condition after. I will use any deep conditioner. I don't discriminate!

For years now I have used my deep conditioner 1st before washing. I tried it the other way and for my hair it just wasnt as effective. While i deep condition i also throughly detangle, twist my hair then wash in the twist. Once i get out i out in a leave in and my other styling products and thats it☺
rachelmm05 I am always curious how that works for you. Let me ask you a few questions:
1. What is your hair porosity?
2. What deep conditioner do you use?
3. Do you easily get product buildup?
I’m the same...I deep condition first. I use this step to detangle my hair prior to shampooing.
@@DiscoveringNatural my hair porosity is mostly like your oldest daughters. It holds moisture fairly well... I use the same Cantu Deep Conditioning Treatment, not a lot just enough to evenly coat that section... No i dont have any build up from this method... I tried for many years to detangle and condition my hair while wet and it was a disaster, i ended up with so much breakage and extra tangles. This way has helped me to keep my hair more managable with less breakage. For me i learned that i dont need a regular conditioner, a deep conditioner and a leave-in, all 3 back to back left my hair feeling heavy.
I deep condition before shampooing now. I use to do the opposite but I prefer it

I also deep condition before shampooing. It really helps me with the detangling process. Since I started doing it that way I’ve noticed I don’t have as much breakage. I do add a leave in after I wash
I like Camille Rose products. Deep conditioning definitely makes a huge difference in the feel and health of the hair. I don't skip that step. I'm curious to try the Obia one you mentioned. You and your hubby are too cute! ♥️

I prepoo, shampoo, then deep condition but lately I haven’t been deep conditioning just using wash out conditioner on my girls heads.. I haven’t seen s difference in their heads so far🤞🏾

Yes it was a video. He answered the questions well. You're right why puting a deep conditionner on top of a hair who might be dirty or have products buildup ? Doesn't defeat the purpose of any treatment ?

I condition before sometimes. I have noticed no difference. My hair is wrapped 95% of the time. 🤷🏾♀️ Do whatever works for you. I steam and condition first. Then shampoo. I use a leave in conditioner and oil/grease my scalp 🤷🏾♀️

You need to open the cuticles especially if you got low porosity here once shampoo in the hair it will lift the cuticles so whatever other products that you're going to put in work easily able to drink it
