Great video. No BS, No annoying music. Just gets to the point. Thank you.
Super. We always make more cakes than needed. We refrigerate the leftovers and reheat in the microwave a few days later. No muss no fuss so get y'all this dispenser and make lots of cakes for later. Tell em Johnny sent all y'all.
pssst I done good huh johnny. lol been a while good to see you still. cookin.
This one looks like it functions great. I have one you mix the batter in. It has a wire ball whisk in it. So far I have had less then ideal results with it.
I've seen those Robert but have never used one. I didn't really understand the wire ball, it reminded me of those smoothies people make with the protein and they have the wire ball it haha. But ya this one works good so far. I'm just a little worried about the spring in the squeeze handle. Because if that goes then basically the whole thing is useless.
You'd be the superstar cook at any family camping trip with that in hand😊
For sure Bobbi!
Oh yes, that's for sure :)
I just bought this exact model a couple weeks ago, seemed to work fine. Only ran into trouble with some thicker batter that wouldn't come out, but otherwise worked great
Awesome thanks for the info. And thanks for watching, I think it's a pretty good model, some people seem to have issues with the Blackstone one.
Yeah, thicker batter is a bit tricky, you can always try to add a little bit of liquid to make it smoother
I've seen other use these before but not a good review video on the how. My dishwasher is safe on anything as my hand do a good job washing. Thanks for showing and I may just get one. Johnny, ... "starting that diet next week" .... Where have I hear that before? Griddle On.
Thanks Kenny, and I didn't know where you've heard it before hahaha.
This would be so handy! Look how perfect those pancakes are!
Thanks! Ya they turned out pretty good, and it was fun.
Oh yeah, you need to try it out :)
Thank you so much for the review! 🙌 this will come in handy for when I have friends over ✨
You are very welcome, thanks for watching.
0:56 omg how cute the way they hesitated how to break the pancakes apart lol
I love this accessory. I have the Blackstone brand and so far it’s been great. And I think I’ll start my diet next year!!🤣🤣🔥🔥
Hahaha next year sounds good to me! Oh shoot that's not that far away 😅
I've had one of these for a few years; looks like the same model. Apparently, I didn't know it's not dishwasher safe! I've been using the dishwasher the entire time, haven't had a problem.
Oh that's good to know! Maybe it is I just couldn't find anywhere on the box or the website where it said it was. And usually they mention that so I assumed it was not. Thanks so much for sharing I'm going to put mine in the dishwasher and see what happens.
Great review Johnny! You really have that pancake flip perfected. 😘
Hahaha I don't know about perfected but I try my best. Thanks Robert
Hey, you took my comment. I was gonna say " let me guess, your gonna start your diet next week" lol. Nice one. GRIDDLE ON DUDE.
;)
Great stuff! Thanks so much!
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
Nice review sir... My wife calls it "The Plopper!" And it has helped with many cooks!
"The Plopped!". What a great name. I'm definitely going to call it that from now on.
@@JohnnyBrunet Enjoy, Sir!
Ha, what a great name :D
I got mine from Blackstone and love it, I called it the pancake pooper when we have a gathering 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Im stealing that name for my next video.
What is your griddle temp? Thank you ^^
375 for pancakes. Thanks for watching.
How has it held up? Some of the amazon reviews shows the pull handle breaking.
Mine still works Patrick but I've probably only used it like 15 times. If you use it weekly I could see that handle breaking.
Pretty cool accessory
Ya it's fun for sure. Thanks for watching buddy.
Yes, you definitely need to try it :)
Do you have a pancake recipe you can share? Your pancakes look so fluffy! Thanks for the video
Hey thanks so much I'm glad you liked the video. I wish I had a secret recipe that was really cool but those are actually just from a box 😂. I just use the Kroger brand and the only thing I do different is I add a little less water and make sure it sits for 10 minutes before I make them. So I usually mix it together before I pre heat my griddle.
Well they look great! Whatever works right? 😁
@@shortnclumsygrl yup absolutely. I've tried a few scratch recipes but none of them impressed me that much to leave to convince of the box. Maybe one day I'll find a good homemade one.
We can always recommend this recipe :) shop.kpkitchen.eu/blogs/news/best-fluffy-pancakes
i'mo buy me one!
chiwawa brand, if that's alright?
Family bro good vid.... nice cakes ....but you should review a mixer....cuz um that looked like oatmeal going in to dispenser
Again great video you just got a subscriber I wanna see more
The wife bought that very one a couple months ago, she really likes it.
Thanks Todd, ya my wife likes ours a lot too. It's a handy little accessory.
So happy to hear that!
Great quick review brother! We have the Blackstone one, and unfortunately, as others had told us it would do, it broke after just a couple of uses - hope this one works well, while we had the BS one, it was incredible!! Take care man, we smashed the like button!!🔥🔥
Hey guys thanks so much for stopping by and for the info on the Blackstone one, I didn't know it had problems. Love your guys videos take care!
We're using different stronger plastic materials and also updated our handle design to prevent breaking. Our redesigned pulley handle has been repositioned to ensure quality and durability :) Give it a try and let us know!
My blackstone one broke in my hand with the very first pancake. It was junk
IMO rude of the Waltwins to mention such a thing on another persons channel. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
Color me no longer subscribed with the Waltwins.
@@rvvacation1862 hey brother, confused by the comment. We have stated repeatedly we have love and respect for Blackstone - not sure what you are getting at with the sour grapes? We also respect Johnny, and our comment was specific to something he mentioned in the video, and we simply shared our expeirence. Cheers.🤙🤙
Love it! Happy to see how great our pancake batter dispenser works for you :) (on a side note, the one you're linking to in your video description is not ours :( )
Hi thanks so much for watching and yes your dispenser has worked great so far. I just followed the link and saw that I accidenlty did link to the wrong one 😯, I fixed it. I appreciate you stopping by and thanks for making such a fun accessory.
@@JohnnyBrunet no worries! Thank you so much ! :)
What temp do you have the griddle on for pancakes?
I try to cook them around 375.
Here's my video on what temps I cook everything at.
th-cam.com/video/XhdxmvAykqs/w-d-xo.html
Is there a mechanism to adjust the exact amount of batter to dispense?
No it would just depend on how hard you squeeze.
I have the same one. I’ve had it for a few months and so far so good. Pancakes are one of the easiest and quickest items to make on the griddle. 👍
Ya it's crazy how fast you can make like 20 pancakes on the griddle. How many times have you used yours? I've only used mine like 3 times bit I'm wondering how it will hold up to multiple uses.
I’ve only used it 6 or 7 times, so I can’t speak on longevity. But I’ve been impressed so far.
So happy to hear that!
Are you an oil or butter guy when making your pancakes? PS. Those are some pretty pancakes, not too blond and not too dark.
Thanks TY! I usually put a little oil down always when I start griddling. Then with pancakes I do butter as well.
What grill is that?
Hi Fuschia,. It's a camp chef flat top grill 600. Most people refer to them as griddles. They are similar to the small plug in electric griddle that most people use for pancakes, except they're outside and they run off of propane. I have a video explaining what they are on more detail. Another very popular brand is Blackstone, there are 2 and 4 burner models.
th-cam.com/video/AmlKD6IZ5eY/w-d-xo.html
Get a Blackstone grill converted to NG and never look back at propane usage again.
NG alot cheap
Does it leak?
Not yet but the handle did crack on me. It still works the plastic just cracked a bit.
Man whats your go to pancake recipe?
That is a box mix lol. I usually get the Kroger brand buttermilk.
Unfortunately our family recipe is too thick for these dispensers, so i just pour it out of the mixing bowl directly like an animal.
Nothing wrong with making it extra thick!
@@JohnnyBrunet It's how my wife likes it. 😉
@@nathanddrews 🤣🤣🤣
Hey you said your starting your diet in last video what happened ?
😂😂😂😂😂😂🤷🏻♂️ soon I swear.
@@JohnnyBrunet 🤣🤣🤣
You've been starting your diet next week for a lot of years.
🤣🤣😁
Who cares who makes it??? Got mine for $10.
I'll be pancake prepping. Make them and vacuum seal them
for whenever
Nice! Great idea I just put mine in a ziplock I don't have a vacuum sealer.
@@JohnnyBrunet you need a vacuum sealer. I can put half an avo in and seal it up. It'll stay fresh and not turn brown for a couple days!!! Also frozen food no more freezer burn!!!
@@Adeline9418 ya I want one for sure. Gonna put it on my wish list.
Pancakes - maybe.
Muffins - no. Batter too thick. Doesn't come out. Stays on the sides.
This tool BEGS for a piston.
Ya I don't make a ton of muffins but the pancakes worked well. Thanks for watching.
Depending on the batter, it can sometimes be tricky to get it flowing smoothly. But we're having enough pancake and also muffin recipes that work great with it :)
We also thought about a complete solution for that but it's not easy to get it going also with thicker batter because then the runner pancake batter will probably too fast to come out
@@kpkitchen5658 Yeah, but what about adding a piston? You know - "syrigne system". Most of cake syrignes available on the market are for decoration only. Thus they have little capacity and no valve/closing system. Now imagine a tool with large piston gently pushing out the batter AND high capacity AND valve system. Maybe something like this:
th-cam.com/video/ifzFWu4l65Y/w-d-xo.html
@@nastykhan7746 Yeah, we have also a design like this ready for this kind of batter dispenser, but as you also can see from the pampered chef one, it will cost a lot more than the current version because it will make the production process much more complex. And also with such a version, the whole process for the user gets more complex too.
So, unfortunately, we haven't found a perfect solution for every situation and type of batter yet
WAY OVER PRICED!
