Great video Diane, I’m on Trulicity and it’s working well. Absolutely love the pen. Lilly has made it so easy to take. I’m on the lowest dose for about 9 months. A1C down a full point to 6.5, only lost 5 lbs probably my fault. Took a good 3 weeks to adjust to the medication with horrible belching all day with the absolute worst breath. However, it went away and now not having any side effects for many months . Doc said at this point no need to raise dosage. Anyone considering Trulicity, don’t be afraid of the needle, as Diane says, let it warm to room temp and you will barely feel it. For me, the stomach area is the easiest,. So sorry that my comment is so long.
Trulicity has gotten my A1C back into range, and I lost some weight. The problem is continuing supply issues. My refill has been on back order for over two weeks now...forcing me to stop and restart taking my medication. We diabetics need this medication...Any doctor prescribing this purely for weight loss is hurting the diabetic community.
Well since it does work for weight loss and has been approved for such then the supply chain needs to be boosted. Yes it does hurt us diabetics but they can’t all be winners right.
People don’t realize even though you are taking the shot you still need to do a diet of sorts. Try not eating any carbs for a week after you take your shot, you will loose weight. And don’t cheat. None of these weight loss shots are miracle shots. You need to help it along.
Ive been talking Trulicity for 6 weeks now. I lost 11lbs in the first 3 weeks, but then gained 2lbs back. My A1C was 5.7 in 1/2024, and as of 4/26/24 its 5.9. Is this normal?
Hello thank you for your video truilcity has help me in so many ways it has kept my blood sugar down and I have loss 15 pounds and the weight is still falling off.
My sugar was at 328 and my A1c was 11. I just took my 4th injection. My sugar is down to 177. After taking the first injection I noticed a decrease in appetite immediately. I get full much faster and I have almost no food cravings. I have gone down a full size in my clothing. Any side effects weren’t too bad since I felt so awful before starting it. I have to make sure I eat and if I forget I start to feel sick. Drink lots of water.

Hi Doc 😊, what's the difference between Mounjaro vs Trulicity? My insurance won't cover Mounjaro but they cover Trulicity. I was so excited to be on Mounjaro cuz I heard it's the most effective... 😞
Hi Kendolyn, yikes, I know all about the insurances issues unfortunately. The difference is we are seeing more weight loss and greater a1c drop with Mounjaro than we do with trulicity. It's the "better" and improved version of trulcity-- however, trulicity is still a good option. Hope that helped.

Is this allergic reaction normal or is it a sign that should be taken seriously? Thank you for your feedback. Sincerely yours
I took trulicity and felt quite some pain in the injection site, which referred into my leg, and left a blue bruice and pain in my abdomen area. On the next day I could not do anything because I felt knocked down and dizzy the whole day. I also did not feel any hunger on that day and the next day as well. I feel it will mess up my GI-tract. where diseases originate from. I cannot just go without eating. So, I tried having a whole food natural and not sugary lunch, but I felt like throwing up, which I attribute to this medicine. I feel scared of taking this products

Hi Bob, great question. No, what I meant there is that our liver releases glucose in the form of glycogenesis-- so this help “stop” some of that from happening therefore leading to better glycemic control. With diabetes, since the blood sugar levels are higher, we want to stop some of that glucose. It will actually help with the fatty liver because weight loss helps reduce some of the fatty liver, therefore, this class helps indirectly. My apologies if I made it sound that way. Now I am taking 1.5 dosage and man am I bruising at the injection site. I used my upper thigh for the rest of the shots and it worked just fine, no bruising. With the higher dosage I watch the "green" bruise develop as the injection goes in. It has been 5 days and that site is still badly bruised and sore. I plan to try my stomach with the next dosage but am looking for any info on stopping such awful bruising in the future. ? Is anyone else experiencing this?
@@DarleneButler-tx7os Sorry to hear that. I have found that using my stomach is way less painful. No bruising and really, easier all the way around. I do make sure and push the insulin around after the shot goes in.
Trulicity is a good product, what it will do to me long term is yet to be seen but diabetes is not my friend! I had to do without it last week, insurance is messed up huray for them they saved $284.00 on one missed shot and I got to see what it did to my glucose all week and my estimated A1C, not great! I decided to shop around and see what my $284/shot or $13,658.68 a year drug costs in other countries besides the USA. England $32/shot or $1,664 a year Canada $74/shot or $3,848 a year Mexico $102/shot or $5,304 a year. The price in Canada could be high as I don't know if they quoted US dollars or Canadian dollars that are $0.75 USD. One thing is clear when comparing to Britain we in the USA overpay about $10,000 a year on that drug alone. Another thing true, I need a healthier lifestyle! I have insurance, I pay a great deal for it and my annual cost for the drug cost for me becomes $ 100.00 a year. What if I did not have $12,000.00 cash to pay each year for health insurance, the drug would be unobtainable! Perhaps price gouging is why insurance is so expensive. Once again a very good product but they need to charge much less for it in the USA, after all Eli Lilly is a company based in Indianapolis IN, A United States company! Two final words, Ruinous Profits!

Im on trulicity but i notice my tummy is bigger unlike before and feeling more eating and hungry? My diabetology will change with victoza
Sorry to hear that. That’s not very usual. I would suggest discussing ozempic instead of victoza. Victoza is daily and ozempic and once a week. Keep me posted
@@thevoiceofdiabetes yes i did suggest and my dr say yes he will change for ozempic
