CAN THE MF 6290 UMBILICAL TRACTOR HANDLE HANDSFREE SOWING????

- In todays video the MF 6290 umbilical tractor is on the drill. The drill is an accord 4m and we have the transport box on the front for a bit of light stone picking. The FJ Dynamics autosteer was also in full use.

I felt exactly the same when I went out sowing for the first time, actually every time, every season I got stressed hoping everything went well, I had issues, and it’s ALWAYS where everyone on the road can see the missed bits….I feel your pain. I’d do 250 acre each spring, 08 until 2013, not sown any since because I came away from farming, I do miss it. I worked on a mixed arable/livestock farm in NE Scotland, I was using a pneumatic DC 3M, almost the same as yours
I didn’t have auto steer though, and I also had a hopper for fert in the back
haha I feel the same way running the drill, feels good a couple weeks later when you can see the green starting on the field.

Looks like you could use a stone rack and stone picker when we had farm neighbour used rent to us both for 150 a day 25 years ago was life back saver. MF135 on the 12ft rack MF275 on the picker

Good luck with the sowing g I'd say it was ok in the end, those big stones look like proper machine killers next time someone asks you why you dont use a 1 pass show them that vid.
On the auto steer thought it would have had a function to map out the path to travel in the field? This is what would be common in those big trailed 1 pass systems where you dont need to reverse at the headland. It would be like when your are discing the fields in islands. Then you just hit the stop record button and lift the harrow and the tractor goes to the next run. Would be good to ask the vendor if it can do that.
Should have the function but the issue is tram lines, seedbox isn’t gps controlled can’t control shut off

If the tramline programmer is mechanical that is the case, the electronic ones should be able to take a signal from the gps
