Welcome to Ireland Diane, I note from the comments that you are an avid farmer Phil fan. Have a great time in Kenmare, lovely spot, hope ye seeing some nice weather. Showery weather here in Kilkenny but better for the weekend ahead I think.

We have the same complaint about the tram lines moving when lifting for stones etc. If you are using gps you can take note of what line your on when tramming then you’ll be tramming every 8 runs after that etc if you keep a note of it 👌🏻
Some machine I'd say Phil. Worth remembering I suppose when comparing your acres covered, compared to yer massey 4m the pottinger would cover we'll say 90 acres with the smaller size. But you're travelling slower too as you're doing 2 jobs at once with power harrow and drill. If you got a bit used to it you'd probably be doing 50+ acres in a day comfy? I think she'd be great job on ploughed ground but tbh, yer discing and broadcasting method would probably knock it out the park!.
@@FARMERPHIL3690 THANKS FOR REPLY, I HAVE HALF TON AT THE READY, THE NEXT SMALLER QRTR TON SIZE WOULD BE HAN DY . THANKS SO MUCH ANYWAY. KEEP THE VIDEO'S COMING. !!
Great job Phil. Will you trade in your 4 metre drill for a nice one pass and move away from broadcast? For someone who doesn't like power harrows you have changed your tune. Sow the middle first. Keep up the good work
Olly Blogs does a nice seed sock for emptying the drill. Phil. Nice emergence! I've got to say. Would you consider demoing a direct drill in the future? Just for your thoughts Have a look at Andrew ward channel. He did ten demo plots this year with SB.
@@lukenicholl7746 Is that what you use over there ? ?//Red over here in england. Myself I think it bollocks making us use white in digger etc. Robbing bastards.
On the drill Phil you cam lock the drill on its Pass, on your work screen the button that has 2 arrows facing each other locks the drill in whatever Pass your on. I cant recommend one enough I cover 500 acre a year on one, keep an eye on grassmen oner the next few months for an appearance of her👍
I wouldn't be fond of sowing, but when I go at it, I go at it awful and very hard.. Id sow about 45 fields in 2 hours.. Id get up the following mornin and Liv would have the coffee and rice cakes on, and Id go at it again.. Id tear the clay out of any mans field.. Bastards..

I remember my cousin standing on the back of our seed drill with a stick to hit any blocked pipes. Things have come a long way 😀
It was a scary place to be as a 12year old, back in the 70s.like Ben Hur on a chariot. ☠️
@@seanmcdermott5260 No health and safety back then.
What hp is the 6499 would the 3690 be fit for the drill
GREAT WORK DONE. ONE QUERY THOUGH ??? DO YOU EVER SAVE THE SMALLER SEED BAGS (1/4 TON) COULD DO WITH TWO ??? HERE'S HOPEFUL . !!!
All we have is 500kg or 50kg bags. Would either of those do?

Maybe I'm wrong but would u not do the headland last and not tramp the sowed ground every time you turn at the headland
Set some open Maize with it?
